“so, i’m planning on going for a walk by the river.”she commented, hands shoved in her hoodie jacket as she looked at her sister. “if you’re not busy you could come too? i mean you can say no if you want and i will understand.”

“ i would never say no to you, just let me get chanel.“ willa whistles and the small pomeranian rounds the corner in a hurry -- earning a laugh from the brunette, who would have thought such a small little ball of fur could run so fast ? she grabs the leash and hooks it on. and then turns towards her sister with a beam. “ ready if you are ! how can i say no to a walk ? it feels like it’s been awhile since we last got to chat and just hangout.“

❝BIRTHDAY CAKE is alright or if you are a SIMPLE girl then go for like Vanilla?❞  Aurora is all for something NOT so simple but at the same time, it is easy to say it was simple to someone you don’t know well enough.  ❝But I wouldn’t recommend getting expresso the birthday cake..that was a mistake.❞  Granted,  it is a mistake to do expresso for her in general.

“ i don’t know how i feel that you somehow guessed what i sometimes order.“ willa typically got a vanilla latte; but her regular was anything caramel. “ did it just entirely ruin the whole drink ? i got a mocha crumble coffee the other day with two espresso shots it ruined the whole drink, but it woke me right up.“

Before classes, Eliana always goes to buy a coffee. After all, she needs it for the day, her work in the bar is almost every night so the caffein helps her to be more active for the day. Checking on her phone, the girl listens to a female voice. “Well have you try the cotton candy frappuccino?” asks not sure if it’s something that the other woman will like it. “I’m not putting my hands on fire for that one, but I think it’s good and probably you like it.“

“ there’s a cotton candy frappuccino ? i must be living underneath a rock.“ willa’s eyes widen slightly, now that she hadn’t heard about. “ it sounds like a sugar high. i think that just means i have to try it and i’ll get my regular too. just in case.“

   “hm,”  he  thought  for  a  moment  resting  his  hand  upon  his  chin.  “i  love  cold  brew  myself.  it  gets  me  through  long  shifts  and  does  the  job.  i’m  the  type  of  person  who  doesn’t  need  a  lot  of  caffeine  though.  i  kind  of  run  on  endorphins…  strangely  enough.”

“ isn’t cold brew typically bitter ? and i kind of get that i usually need a lot of caffeine to get me through long shifts. and that’s not such a bad thing at all, i’m that way sometimes too.“ willa as an emt, juggling that and another job -- and then school ? needless to say she lived on coffee.

it was safe to say, however it felt a little pathetic to say it out loud, sara felt as if she had read more books in her life than she’d known people. but maybe it wasn’t all that surprising, seeing as she was basically swimming in them right now. the suggestion of proposition of recommendations perks sara’s attention, tugging a broad smile across her lips. “oh, yes.” the blonde chirps, “what kind of books do you like?”

“ oh, gosh.” mallory pauses momentarily to think about it, another sure sign it had been too long since she’d read a book. “ a little bit of everything. i love a good fantasy book, or any kind of book that takes you somewhere different. does that make sense ? “

alex sighed as she went into the kitchen, seeing the other there. her living here was a reminder that her mother was gone. fingers laced through her hair as she opened the fridge, avoiding eye contact with the other. “jeeze, who drank all the orange juice.”the teen grumbled.

mallory gives that of an apologetic smile, she’s sitting at the table and in the middle of making a peanut butter and banana sandwich. “ hey alex.“ she couldn’t have imagined how the tate kids felt and that it had to have been a lot of change. “ i’m not sure ? i looked for some earlier and couldn’t find it either. aside from the empty carton..”

“that’s always the case, isn’t it ?? the person you need not being there.. hence why i’m always here,” isaac chuckled. he reached out a hand, wanting to have a look at hers. “i really don’t know much about this kind of stuff, katie love. i’m sure there’s a way, though. i doubt you’re the first person to have done this.”

“ that’s what dads are for isn’t it ? “ katie puts out both of her hands, the bleach mainly on her fingers and a little bit on the palms of her hands. “ it’s okay dad, we’ll figure it out together. hopefully we can figure out some way to stop the burning. and i can honestly say ? i’ll never do this again. not without gloves.“

“yeah, thats what bleach does.”she commented, running a hand through her hair as she watched the other for the moment, “i mean, it’s always worth a try, i can’t guarantee it will work but it’s always worth a shot.”

“ it WAS pretty dumb of me, wasn’t it ? “ katie should have figured that it had to have been too good to be true. “ at this point i’ll honesty try anything and now i know to never, ever do that again.“

“well, i think we should go there then.”alex commented with a soft smile on her lips as she ran a hand through her hair. “and brownies are so good. especially if they’re still warm and just come OUT of the oven.”

“ sounds like a plan.“ katie says almost immediately regardless of how eager it may have made her sound. it wasn’t as if that weren’t true. “ now i know what to bake for you. i know the perfect brownie recipe too -- just the right amount of chocolate and the right amount of soft.“

sara offers a gentle turn of her lips. she remains seated in front of the bookshelf, mindlessly allocating a pile for the book in her hand to rest upon. the tate daughter is only now coming to terms with how many books she’d managed to accumulate. “i do this all the time. i think there might be something wrong with me.”

“ i wouldn’t say that at all, i used to be quite the reader when i was younger.“ the words are spoken reassuringly and mallory has a smile to match.“ it’s been ages since i’ve even FINISHED a book. so i’d say you have the right idea-- i figured with my newfound free time i might as well read. do you happen to have any recommendations ? or any favorites ? since you’re such a reader and all.“

willa is glancing upwards at the board of coffee options, not feeling like going for her regular. not that she particularly needed anymore caffeine for the day. but nobody needed to know that.“ so what would you recommend ? i feel like trying something new.“

sara sits contently in the library. on the floor, squeezed against the non-fiction shelf providing enough room behind her to allow people to pass by. on either side of her are various mountains of books she plans to carry back to her home. how you might wonder? well, she isn’t sure just yet. but within that moment it didn’t matter, sara’s enamoured in her own little corner of the world. noticing a figure behind her is somewhat blocked by her latest mountain, sara springs into a quick apology, “darnit, sorry!” the books are gently slid towards her frame, “didn’t realise i was taking up the entire path.”

“ it’s fine, no worries.“ mallory reassures with a wide smile. the brunette had decided to checkout a few books to occupy her time--with her on leave from work and having not much to do, she figured when was the last time she had finished a few books ? college probably. so it couldn’t hurt. “ i do the same thing when i’m focused and don’t realize what on earth i’m doing. or how much room i’m hogging up.”

“to be fair, seeing as mom’s not here right now, it was either asking google or asking me. neither would’ve gotten you the right answer in this scenario,” isaac mused, trying to hide the grin on his face, “is there anything i can do to help, katie ??”

“ figures the one time i need mom she’s not here.“ it’s a huff that leaves katie’s mouth, although she’s just frustrated. “ i don’t know.. maybe ? you know of anyway to get bleach off my hands ? “

“oh no honey!” a small pout appeared on the brunette’s lips as she looked over to her hands. “that’s literally the worst. which is also why i never trust these reviews on the internet.” she mentioned as she felt a lump coming up her throat because of the strong smell of bleach. “oh gosh we really have to use lemon juice for that smell,” she suggested. 

“ i don’t know WHAT i was thinking.“ katie is mentally scolding herself for thinking that she should use bare hands for bleach and not gloves. “ can you help me, please ? i’ll take any help i can get at this point and does lemon juice really help with the smell ? “
