I'm glad to be able to give Abigail some resolution in this chapter. I feel like I've been kind of harsh on her throughout the course of this fic.

It's the day of the Stardew Valley Fair, which is one of my favourites. I always wished Leah would sell sculptures or something there as there are so many tourists that I bet she'd do fab.

This chapter isn't really focussed on romance at all, except for a little bit at the fortune teller's stand. I picked Dream Lover by Dion for this week's song because Georgia was hoping she'd get some clarity about her love life.

It's another Sam-heavy chapter I guess. I never mean for there to be quite so much Sam as there is but he really does kind of write himself. I usually have a very broad outline of a plan when I'm writing but when Sam's involved it always deviates from what I've intended. In my original plan they never left Abigail's room, but I'm glad the chapter turned out the way it did in the end.

I think for the song this week, Money, Money, Money by ABBA is my choice. Pierre is so obsessed with money, even though he can't really compete with Joja. Plus, Georgia used to have to be so careful with money when she first arrived in the Valley, but after Fall harvests she has enough money to afford pretty much anything she likes!

This week's chapter - Sebastian Plays a Gig - is up! We've had Sebastian's 8 heart event, and now it's time for Sam's. I actually feel kind of guilty sometimes for making Robin and Demetrius so shitty to Sebastian but Demetrius is super neglectful in the game and Robin isn't much better honestly, so I guess it kind of fits. We also see Maru finally stand up for herself a little bit when Demetrius babies her - she is an adult, after all.

I chose the pop genre for Sam's band, so that's this week's song! I also imagine him being into pop music in general and I think he'd like 5 Seconds of Summer lol, so that's a bonus song! I reckon it's the type of music he likes to play/ sing too.

Here's Chapter 26 - Elliott's birthday! I've introduced a character who doesn't really get any screen time in the actual game - the travelling merchant. One of her only lines in-game talks about her selling goods from the Gotoro Empire, so I've based her character around the idea of her being a smuggler between the Ferngill Republic and the Gotoro Empire.

My song for this week is Mountain at my Gates by Foals. It's a really ambiguous song which is interpreted differently by different people. I originally thought of it as Shane climbing out of his depression, but now I kind of see it as someone who feels lost and alone falling in love so I chose it for Georgia and Seb instead.

Apologies in advance for the longest chapter in the entire world, but Chapter 25 - Dance of the Moonlight Jellies - is up! I can barely conceal my contempt for Pierre in this chapter, can't stand the lad. But Alex puts him in his place while being the lovely himbo that he is.

My songspiration for this chapter is Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin - both for Sebastian and Georgia's feelings, and the fact that the original French version was an ode to the sea rather than a love song.

Despite having Seb's 6-heart event here, this chapter has lots of Alex, some Harvey, some Sam, some Seb. I thought a lot about what sort of movies Alex would like and I figured that seeing as he's raised by his grandparents, he'd have watched a lot of old-timey flicks growing up. I imagine him as pretending to be interested in action movies and fight scenes when he was in school, because he's part of the "jock" crowd, but deep down he's sensitive and just wants to sing along to some musicals.

I originally envisioned that movie scene as being with Seb and Sam but whenever I tried, Sam ended up trying to make a move. So I rewrote it to give Alex and Georgia some quality sibling time together.

ANYWAY, sorry to ramble! This week's song is Singing in the Rain by Gene Kelly, for Alex's favourite musical. And as a bonus, the Solarion Chronicles song is The Song of the Dragonborn from Skyrim. I also did my nails to match Ginger, the orange cat who lives on Stardew Farm :)

I picked Misfits by Shinedown for the song this week as the group kinda doesn't fit in but they all love each other in their own way and are lucky to have each other. Hope you enjoy!
