LADY OF THE TAKEDA - LONGFIC

It is finally here! Chapter 1 is finally out.

HO-LY SMOKES. I can't believe that the poll I did is already over a year ago. My apologies. But now the wait has an end and it is finally here. If you want to know a bit more, please do read my preface. Although, please do so anyways, there are some infos in there that might be important.

So, chapter 1 is already live, chapter 2 in editing and I am already writing chapter 3. Unless life throws more shit at me, I should hopefully be able to keep a consistent upload frequency. I am doing my editing all by myself after all.

Unleashing the black flames of anger, here's Bennu Kagaho for the SSZ Fanzine Underworld, @saintseiya-zone, this time focused on the warriors of Hades. It was a fun challenge, and I feel like I did learn a thing or two in the process. And while I don't really like most of the Specters and they aren't my favourite Saint Seiya army as a whole, I was glad to be able to pick Kagaho, because he's among those I like the most. Felt a bit refreshing to do something different from my usual stuff. Kinda wished I had the time and energy for a second entry, but oh well. Better do one thing good instead of two and rushing them, with bad results, or not get one or both done in time.

Thundering in as first picture I post this year are Davis and Raidramon! Always loved the Veemon line, including his armor evolutions (or at least the three that appeared in the show - might be that there are duds among his other, non-anime armors. I don't remember them all). And how cool must it be to be able to ride on a steed as lightning-fast (pun absolutely intended) as Raidramon? I think only flying, like on Pegasusmon, Nefertimon or Halsemon would top that for me.

SAGITTARIUS WEEKS 2024

Another year, another attempt.

And fortunately, I managed to get the prompts together and up earlier than last year - my sincerest apologies again for that. But this time I hope its early enough for those who want to participate. And yes - I am afraid there are some recycled prompts again, but I never even managed to participate properly in my own weeks that I created. This time it's gonna be different - especially since I did not manage to participate in Inktober, which leaves me with more time to work on my Sagittarius pics. n.n Also, I did recycle some prompts because I am really curious what people are gonna whip up for them. :D

Anyhow, here are the prompts.

Hi there! You got me curious about your idea for a crossover between Bleach and Saint Seiya. (Really cool Seiya art btw, and I like the idea for his zanpakuto to be called like this! I'd totally read more about him, like what his shikai actually looks like, its special skill and so on!) But anyway, I wanted to ask a general question, in this AU would there be now 12 squads (for 12 zodiac signs), or would someone else cover number 13? Be it either Ophiuchus or someone else completely?

I don't know if I will ever get to designing his Shikai/Bankai, cause I don't think I am good enough with designing such stuff/coming up with cool ideas. I guess I can try, and if I got nice ideas, I can at least sketch them. But I certainly will think about his Zanpakuto's abilities, as well as those for the Goldies and other Bronzes. Hot damn, the release comands were the easiest part to come up with. Oh well. I think I nearly got all of those, so I might actually post that list soon.

As for your qestion: No, there will be 13 Squads. But the 13th will not be Ophiuchus. I almost put Squad 1 as the sole exception in that it is always gonna be the Head Captain's squad, but then I remembered that then the numbers of Squads and Zodiac Signs won't match anymore. So I decided that Squad 13 is the Head Captain's squad in this AU. And it is run by what in Saint Seiya would be the Pope. I mean, there are 13 Captains, but one of them is kinda their leader, the Head Captain. Which is kinda the same position that the Pope has in Saint Seiya. One leader and 12 Gold Saints/Capains. And a Head Captain can be succeeded like the Pope (like when Aiolos was supposed to succeed Shion), as we saw when Yamamoto died and Kyoraku filled that position. (Yamamoto just was the first Head Captain, and that for a veeery long time, so we never really saw any succession for that post except for that one time). So, basically, in this case, Shion is Head Captain and Captain of Squad 13, with the other 12 captaincies belonging to the twelve Gold Saints.

Yay, after what feels like AGES, I managed to finish this one! Am quite happy with it too. I always loved the crossover of Saint Seiya and Bleach. I also kinda like the idea of the Bronzes being Vice-Captains of the Gold Saints (Captains in this case) of their respective sign. For Seiya, his Captain would be Aiolos. I decided to go by number of the Zodiac Sign instead of what specialisation each Squad has. Which makes Aiolos and Seiya Squad 9, as Sagittarius is the ninth Zodiac Sign. In this AU, the specialisations would of course be adjusted; like, Squad 4 would not be healers anymore, or Squad 12 being the research squad. Or with stealth force fitting Milo most, it would be Squad 8 being the Stealth Force and not Squad 2.

An Aioros Appreciation Post

Have Lucemon, everyone's favourite fallen angel from Digimon Frontier. He's a villain... but I love his design. And wings are kind of a weak spot of mine. I lov'em.

Just saw this gorgeous card of Flamemon for the first time. And after seeing even more art of it, I found that I do have a big fondness for this cute little guy. Never knew I found him so cute. However, it makes me ache, because now I wish all the other Spirits / Frontier kids had gotten such a baby form too. Maybe not necessarily in the show - though that would have been awesome - but I would have been content with something like Strabimon, which is kinda Flamemon's equivalent for Koji. Strabimon we never got in Frontier, but it is there. And it would have been so cool had Bandai created at least corresponding Digimon for the other Spirits/kids, even if they never appeared in the show. Now I have to live with a never fullfilled curiosity of what Digimon the others would have turned into had they returned to the human world like Takuya.
