He gave me 15 years. We made a promise when he was born. I was 9 and we swore to each other that he would live forever. I told him I might not, but he certainly would. He passed a week ago. June 19, 2017. I never thought watching him take his last breath at 7:24 that morning would hurt almost as bad as being forgotten by someone who once loved you so much. Of all the relationships I’ve had throughout my life up until now, the one I had with my tabby, Joey, is one I could never replace even if I tried. He would never understand that there are a lot of people who would mock and joke about me being psycho enough to have his ashes back and that I might be overreacting, but there are also some who can share that sort of feeling. There’s a void and it’s so uncomfortable. But, I’m happy your back in the house and I’m honored to decorate your urn soon. Thank you for absolutely everything.
