Baroque accessories - BONUS EDITION!

A quirky little trend that was popular in the 1600s was the fashionable wearing of masks. These were usually made from pasteboard or leather and covered in black silk or velvet, making them a relatively affordable and highly visible way of wearing fine fabrics without having to purchase the yards of textile required for a full garment. They also provided privacy and an air of mystery to the wearer. CC links and reference images under the cut.

In the early part of the 17th century holdovers from the Tudor period continued to be in style, but soon enough the iconic ruff would evolve into delicate soft and standing lace collars. By the 1620s women's fashion - and by extension their accessories - became a lot more simple. Hats kept growing in size from the previous century, both in width and height. Pearls were HUGELY popular as they were a way to display wealth. In fact, it's hard to find a woman's portrait from this period that doesn't feature pearl jewellery. Separated Georgian Shoes from Get Famous Pirate Outfit

I was looking for mesh parts today and noticed that no one has ever separated these shoes (that I know of) from the Get Famous Pirate Costume. It was pretty easy and didn't take much time.

These aren't super accurate, but will probably be suitable for late 18th and early 19th century use. A bit outside of the range I've been making lately, but I know some will find it useful.

It comes in four swatches, the original black, grey/gold and brown/silver, as well as a red/silver requested by my sister (she has a Rococo save).

Base game compatible. It's tagged for male frames but it does work on female frames (they are a tad pointy).

After too many hours of weight painting, a dress! A new conversion of the Sims 3 Jamestown Dress (with mesh edits and a fully reworked texture). Fourteen swatches from the Mile High Palette by @smubuh.

700s Follower Gift | The Victorian Books

Happy Holidays Simmers! This is a project I’ve been working on for my holiday week off. I had a need to use books in my Pride Legacy so I said, Why not create a replacement?.

The recolors are editions of real Victorian book covers, ranging from 1837 to the Art Nouveau style. The interior sheets were also edited according to the book

There are a total of 83 diferent textures replaced.

The Country Living, Snowy Scape, Realm of Magic and Vampires books are still the same.

This does'nt change the books on the standards in book stores.

Keep in mind that this is a default replacement so it will conflict with any other files that replace the book textures.

Homework books don’t change, but they’re compatible with Historical Homework Defaults from @kat-simss, which are the ones I use

I'm finally back home and before I get all lazy again I want to share this kit. it was a commission, and as I'm not really well-versed in historical fashion, I don't know how close my work actually is to the stated time period. all I know is that it's pretty and it might suit some period in history. you all will probably find a better use for this.

the kit includes:

- 3 dress bases with different corsets (by bases I mean they do not look well without sleeves) - in long dresses

- 3 different shapes of sleeves - in bracelets

- collar lace - in rings

- sleeves lace (upper and lower layers separately) - in rings

- plain white fichu and a slightly transparent one (please forgive me if I got the name wrong) - in necklaces

- psd's for recoloring (bc I know I made some questionable choices, especially with the lace) - although you can just ignore these files

the dresses and sleeves are recolored in matte palette + my additional two colors (why? I don't know they're pretty)

also an important piece of information - the breast is high by design, and the dress is intended to work with natural breast shapes. the default shape and position are different from ea's. it might look weird with a breast that is positioned too high, or with a large and high breast.

Dandy’s Powder Wigs - Wear-able 17th Century Wigs & Stands

I have a small 17th century inspired slice of life mod for you! This mod adds a couple of new objects to the game, wig stands that your sims can interact with to wear the wig displayed on the stand! If your sim wears the wig for more than 2 days at a time, they will get an uncomfortable moodlet because their wig is starting to get gross and dirty, and this moodlet will have a negative impact on their hygiene.

I actually recorded the process of making this mod, from making the hairs basegame compatible to making the custom tuning required for the mod to work. If you’re interesting in seeing how mods are made or want to learn by watching someone else work, I’d suggest checking it out!

This mod is 100% basegame compatible and requires no other mods to work.

Teaching myself how to create CC! I'm really proud of this. I'm obviously not done yet because I need to add way more detail in Blender, but I'm learning from scratch. :)
