The three types of subplots:
Serving - directly increases the difficulty of the main plot
Enhancing - clarifies the stakes of the main plot
Contrasting - works against the goals of the main plot but in doing so illuminates the values of the main plot

Before humiliating someone you once knew, trusted, or cared for and if they ever lied to you just to protect themselves. Just remind yourself how they would feel if that text was sent, will it change things or would it hurt them.

Create your characters voice
Write one to ten pages (I usually do 5 for major character, 1 or 2 for side characters) as your character. Anything they would say, opinions, diary entries, complaining, etc.
Ooooh I have collected some helpful things to maybe include:
adopting slang from people they are close too/love interest
do they have a raspy voice? High pitched? Overly sweet? Commanding? Figure that out.
to make characters have their own voice vary rhythm, word choice, use of profanity, how much they talk about themselves or others, their politics.
Take some dialogue and ask if readers would be able to tell who is speaking with no context.
Write an AITA post from their point of view.
Identify what role your character has, a leader? a follower? a disrupter? a rebel? an antagonist? a peacemaker? How does that change the way they speak?
The character traits will tell you what your characters will say or how they will say it.

REMINDER
THE POINT OF A PLOT TWIST IS TO ENRICH YOUR STORY, NOT OUTSMART YOUR READERS!!!! SPRINKLE IN YOUR FORESHADOWING!!!! LEAVE CLUES!!!
(im not saying to spell it out/make your plot twist cliche or boring. we are going for a "how did I not see that coming" vibe)

I鈥檓 not sure if anyone is with me on this, but don鈥檛 you always hate seeing diabetics getting wronged for something they鈥檝e never had done when you don鈥檛 know the persons story or past? Or is it just me?
I want to make sure that I鈥檓 not the only person who鈥檚 concerned about this, but this is just my opinion on viewing things. Especially when there鈥檚 drama around when you can鈥檛 let the person talk or let them explain their heart out even if they鈥檙e a diabetic as well or not.
