Obsessed with how after Sam finds out Dean made a deal at the beginning of season 3 he's like: ok. this will be fine. I have the buddha nature. Dean can have all the obnoxious nihilistic hamburger sex parties he wants and I will not even make my little wet chihuahua Face of Disdain. and then after about a half hour he's like wait a second. you're insane and I'm gonna kill you.

season one of supernatual is so funny to me. sam and dean will literally show up to the crime scene in some fuck ass flannels and dean is in his leather jacket and the cops are like "who the hell are you?" and dean will be like "oh, us? well we are obviously from the us fish and wildlife service who else could we possibly be???" 

meanwhile theyre in the craziest outfits known to mankind with no badge or anything, so the cops will ask for their IDs and they'll hand them the most unconvincing fake id you'll ever see. the thing will be crumpled to no return and look like it was all hand written by a toddler and SOMEHOW THE COPS STILL BELIEVE THEM??

and then, they'll start questioning the victims family like "aw man :( I'm so sad for you :( that must be really hard :( so like what happened? and on a completely separate note, did you see anything? feel a temp drop? did you feel a cold spot? did you see something weird? like a creature mayhaps? like a ghost? did you see a ghost? do you believe in ghosts? please tell me it's a ghost?" like that's a totally normal line of questioning for a random drowning from two members of the us fish and wildlife service.

The SPN gun meta post no one asked for

One fun tidbit from SPN is that everybody has symbolic guns except Cas. Who doesn’t use guns. (Except for once, but we’re getting to that.)

So, right. Starting in season 1, we see that Dean props the truck of Baby open with a shotgun. The contents are the messiest in the first season. 

(I’ve gone ahead and put the rest under the cut because this post gets kinda long. Seriously, I’m pretty sure guns are this show’s love language y’all.)

Castiel really just told Dean he couldn't disobey his orders and help him, then proceeded to lay out the perfect plan for Dean to solve his problem without Cas's direct help.

actually. can we talk about the green room/the beautiful room for a sec bc unironically it was one of the best settings in the show. the rococo furniture and paintings with hidden angels in them. the way the bright lighting at the start of the episode contrasts with the usual grey and fades as dean begins to realize that the angels have been plotting to free lucifer and start the apocalypse all along

i'm team cas and dean are stupid for each other and i love how different their "stupidity" is.

dean is stupid for cas in the sense that he'll repair cas' truck after watching the angel leave with kelly in his impala. not just that. he'll find excuses for cas' behavior, too. dean is stupid for cas not just because he finds him devastatingly handsome but because he finds him fun as fuck and just an amazing "guy" to be around. dean is stupid for cas in the sense that he kinda hates angels but he thinks it's "awesome" that their "best friend" is an angel. dean is stupid for cas in the sense that he'll make him a cassette as if they're two teenagers in the 80s-90s and not one human being almost in his 40s who could actually use words to describe his feelings and an ancient being that can see people's aura and perceive their sense of longing.

meanwhile cas is stupid for dean in the sense that he gives up an army for dean (and then dean dies anyway) or that he summons a cosmic being to save dean (and then dean dies anyway).

Imagine if Destiel became canon, but the writers waited till the very end of the series to do it. Like, literally in the absolute last episode, right before the big climax, Dean and Cas are leaning against the Impala, drinking beer. Then without looking up, Dean just says, “So, after this is over, you wanna go out?” and Cas barely twitches before responding, “Yeah, it’s about time,” and that’s the only mention of it ever.

fic where dean’s consciousness is thrown back in time to when he first met cas. he’s like ‘okie dookie gotta play the part” so he stabs cas in the chest bc that’s what he did the first time, right?

… except this time he visibly shudders and mumbles, “damn, that’s still hot.” 

at which point cas - whose consciousness has also been thrown back in time - realizes the same thing has happened to dean. 

they proceed to bicker like an old married couple (”WHY DID YOU STAB ME IF YOU’RE YOU YOU!?” “I DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE YOU YOU! I WAS JUST PLAYING ALONG!” “YOU COULD HAVE ASKED, DEAN!” “HOW DO YOU EVEN START THAT CONVERSATION, CAS?”) while bobby watches, completely confuzzled.

letting a traumatized character have their happy ending where they can recover from their trauma will always be a thousand times more powerful than killing them off for shock value

they couldn’t have had Castiel in 12x11 Regarding Dean because Dean would have been like “wow you’re an angel? I see it. You have pretty eyes :)” and Cas would have blacked out the entire city block
