Started drawing in highschool for blueprints/drafting purposed, realized he actually quite likes it and now always carries a sketchbook

Mostly draws still life but sometimes does portraits and little doodles in paper corners

Really good at baking!!! As long as he sets a timer he's excellent

Less great at cooking- he gets distracted too easily and will accidentally set whatever he's making on fire

Has a bad habit of chewing on pens, has ruined at least three shirts from said pens exploding- Hiro finds this hilarious

Tadashi’s has a weirdly tiny waist. Like he stays serving BODY. It’s not like bro goes out of his way to work out excessively but somehow he’s just got the waist. Like if he’s wearing a sweatshirt with nothing underneath, when he stretches up his shirt rides up and BOOM: Victoria Secrete model.

It must be genetic because Hiro’s got a waist built for the cover of Prada. And he doesn’t work out AT ALL. He will eat anything and everything under the Sun. Taking a shot of red 40 at the end of a hard day and has not exceeded 105 lbs.

You know how there’s that stereotype of the converse owners that would rather walk around half barefoot than just buy new shoes? I’d imagine that Tadashi takes incredible offense to that. Cause like bro has his clunky mint green converse which is a color you get when you have regular colored shoes you can wear with anything like the classic red, white, and black. The only people that are compatible is fascination to Nike/Jordan sneaker heads are converse wearers. Tadashi bleaches his laces like every weekend, if a small spec gets on his shoes he’s scrubbing them with his designated old toothbrush and some soap, and he cleans the bottoms so well they look brand new. It’s part of his Sunday reset routine.

He knows a weird amount of information about the Chuck Taylor brand in general. Every time a new pair comes out he seriously considers buying it. But his financial responsibility and care for the environment keeps him from over consuming shoes he doesn’t need. But when those forest green flower embroidered converse came out, he physically had to put himself on internet time out to keep himself from buying them.

I don’t think that he cares about creasing them because he’s a firm believer in “shoes are meant to be worn” but he cares what they look like. Hiro’s sneakers that are so old they don’t even use the laces they came with and the soles are breaking off the rest of the shoe make him violently ill. He’s not one to blow money on things he doesn’t see necessarily but he begs Hiro to let him buy new shoes.

I keep seeing people say tadashi should've been the villian in big hero 6 and it pisses me off because firstly I don't know what you saw in that movie that made you think that tadashi would EVER hurt his little brother and secondly bh6 was a story about grieving and accepting loss and being able to continue with your life after losing someone important to you and it just kills me everytime someone says tadashi should've been the villian because it makes no sense at all ever and would've been so obvious and a boring twist not to mention one that wouldn't make sense

He watches old home videos of holidays from when his parents were alive a lot because he's worried he'll forget their voices

Keeps an old framed family photo on his desk at SFIT as a reminder of what he's working for

Definitely the type to have actual physical photo albums of important events/days/holidays

I think of Hiro and Tadashi like Shane and Ryan from buzzfeed/watcher. BUT, I think Hiro is Shane and Tadashi is Ryan. Hiro seems too fact oriented to believe in ghosts, demons, hauntings, and possession. Tadashi is more open to it and believe that all claims of the supernatural must be drawn in from some form of truth.

HOWEVER, when it comes to encountering the supernatural Hiro acts more like Ryan and Tadashi acts like Shane. It creeps him out but at the end of the day, Hiro can’t fathom the ideas of the supernatural without pointing to some kind of hysteria. Tadashi definitely gets freaked out but not nearly as much and isn’t loosing sleep over it. He talks to spirits and ghosts in his gentle parenting voice. Asks them to close doors and make sounds the same way parents ask their kids to pick up after themselves.
