So basically I’ve got this Fantasy world that I have a couple different basic plots for that I would love to do as well! I am also totally up for coming up with our own plots! I’ll list a couple of the basic ones I have in case anyone is interested! I’m a sucker for fantasy!!

Option 1: so I am a sucker for the fairytale the wild swans and would love to do something somewhat inspired by that story, like my characters family have been cursed to and somehow our characters come together to try and break the curse before time runs out!

Option 2: pirates! I don’t have much else here except pirates are cool!

Option 3: So basically my character is the child of a corrupt king who escapes the kingdom to look for help saving their kingdom. Your character can be just about anyone here; someone who worked in the kingdom and escaped as well, someone who has been personally hurt by the king, a sell sword, someone from a neighboring kingdom with either good intentions, or looking to take advantage of the situation! Honestly open to anything!

Writing style: I prefer a literate writing style, at least 1 paragraph though I typically write at least 1-3! I can do Novella length if you prefer!

Pairings:

Fandom: I am good with just about anything! Mxm, fxf, mxf, nbxnb, nbxf, nbxm! Also while I do tend to prefer canon x canon characters in fandoms, I am willing to try oc x oc and oc x canon!

Fandomless: obviously these would be oc x oc! Here the characters ideas I have written for the plots above are female so I would prefer either F x F, NB x F or M x F, but if we are coming up with a new plot I’m not against playing a male or non-binary character!

Genres: Fantasy and Adventure! I love the romance aspect and have a lot of fun rping it, but I also love things being platonic so that’s not something that will make me not what to RP!

Platforms: discord preferably, but I’m also good with tumblr if you prefer and I’m willing to try other platforms if you have a different suggestion!

RP partner preferences: I mainly just ask that you be over 18! I am over 21 so please keep that in mind for your own comfort level!

Extra info: I do doubles, all I ask is that if it is for a fandom rp, if it’s not one of the ones I have listed above you may have to give me some time to do some research, as I may not know much about it. If I do great but if I don’t I may ask some questions and stuff so I can rp whomever you want to the best of my ability! I also am in EST so you know for timing!

Kids and Coffee Dates Ch 11

Masterlist

(set to the tune of the lamby song from Gravity Falls) Who wants a tiny little update? I do! I do! Because I haven't written in like 4 months Sorry! My bad!

“Kids are learning fast. They know the T-birds kick some ass. Be sure that there’s no coming last if your on…”

The music pouring out of the Bluetooth speaker on a shelf in the garage trickled out of the open garage door and down to meet Geralt underneath the body of a 67 impala. The car had been an absolute nerd vanity purchase and Geralt knew it. It had needed a new interior; the thing ran like dirt when he first bought it and Geralt was sure he had almost rebuilt the engine at this point with all the parts he had replaced in it. Yet every time he opened the garage and he saw it, a little bit of giddiness bubbled up in him. He had been working with his therapist about defining his emotions and letting himself feel them. The car it turned out had ended up being his little get away to think. A place neither of the women in his house wanted to really be in for any length of time that he could just feel in. He could get upset, frustrated, excited and curious completely unfiltered and it felt good.

Yennifer still called him a nerd for getting The Impala, which he always felt were bold words coming from someone with a Gossip Girl phase, that he witnessed no less.

It wasn’t Yennifer or Ciri however that disrupted Geralt from his musing while working underneath the car, rather it was the rumbling of an engine and the sound of tires slowing over asphalt in the drive. As he was pulling himself up from under the car Lambert was already out and beelining toward him.

“That girl that Eskel went on a date with, what did she look like?” Lambert was breathing heavy like he had ran over to Geralt’s house instead of driving.

“Why?” Geralt quirked up an eyebrow, the frown on his face contouring as he reached for a rag to wipe his hands.

“Well you know how Dad got on my ass about looking nice for company things? Well I was going over to Eskel’s to get steal some stuff of his because I was thinking about it and you know my thing about doing things when I think about them. “

“Yes I am aware that your ADHD ass works in mysterious ways” Geralt threw back at him.

Lambert gave him a quick dirty look before dropping it to continue.

“Well anyway I went to his house this morning and—”

Lambert’s rant was drown out by the very familiar rumble of a bike engine, which abruptly shut off as both brothers turned. Eskel stood a few feet from the bike, arms crossed over his chest and a glare directed at Lambert. The two brothers seemed to have an entire conversation for a few seconds solely with there eyes and facial expressions before Lambert bolted off like a shot to the side to try and reach his vehicle. Eskel however had strategically place himself between the two and sidestepped to grab his brother. The force of the two colliding knocked them both to ground.

It really was something watching two grown men—both built like lumberjacks—wrestling in a driveway at 7 in the morning.

Geralt only wished he had brought a drink out with him to watch the show.

The wrestling match lasted a few more seconds before Eskel had completely pinned Lambert to the ground with his hands pinned behind his back.  

“What in the hell is going on out here? You men are in your thirties, are you really acting like this?” Yennifer had stepped out on the front porch to observe the scene that was being made in her front yard.

“Hey don’t you lump me in with these old men” Lambert picked his head up from the pavement to retort back at Yennifer. Eskel gave out a huff before standing up and letting Lambert go. Which the younger man readily accepting quacking jumping back up.

Yennifer had made her way down to the driveway, turning to Geralt for answers.

“What’s going on out here?” Geralt gave her a shrug before answering.

“I genuinely don’t know this just kinda happened to me.”

“I saw Eskel’s girlfriend .” Lambert bluntly explained, all preamble lost after losing his impromptu wrestling match.

Eskel let out a groan dragging his hands through his hair and pulling before straightening back up and rolling his shoulders.

“Yeah look listen I’ve been meaning to tell you guys for a while I just could never find the right time, and then I started feeling guilty for waiting so long which made me wait ever more and I fuck” Eskel’s shoulders were slumped slightly as he looked mildly downtrodden off to the side.

“Does she have a name?” Yennifer tried to make the tone of her voice as light as possible to try and steer the conversation away from its sober state to at least some mild love or gaiety.

“Uhh yeah” Eskel awkwardly ruffled a hand behind his head. “Her name’s Y/n, she runs a farm, she’s been helping me with Bleater a lot actually, I’ve been seeing her for about six months. “

Lambert began to tsk and place his hand over his chest in overdramatic fashion.

“Eskel I just tsk I thought we were brothers. Six months you hide this girl from us? Six months I—”

“Oh my fucking God, you fucking knew?” Eskel’s eyes shone with irritation once more as he turned toward Lambert

“That not what i—” Lamber was once again cut off.

“No you wouldn’t be joking like this if this was the first time you were hearing about this. You fucking knew didn’t you?”  

Geralt stood up at this, knowing that Eskel would be even more upset if they lied any further.

“We found out by accident.” As Geralt spoke Eskel turned to him. The direct, vaguely angry eye contact would have probably brought any other man to his knees, but Geralt knew Eskel too well to be scared. He knew Eskel too well to fall for this act of anger that was hiding embarrassment and hurt.

“We found out by accident and we weren’t sure if it was anything serious so we figured you would come to us when you were ready.” While Geralt’s words were far from flowery or soft, he could tell by the lessening tension in Eskel’s shoulders that they were working.

“None of us wanted to pressure you or anything okay?” Relief filled Geralt as Eskel broke eye contact to close his eye and take a deep breath letting it out with an “okay”.

“Are we cool?” This was more for Geralt’s peace of mind than anything. Eskel was and always had been the closest person Geralt had had in his life, having Eskel upset at him for any length of time caused a big black hold to well up in his stomach that threaten to swallow him whole.

Eskel let out another long exhale from his nose before his eyebrows lifted slightly and he gave out a “Yeah were cool” with a few nods.

As the air cleared of tension Eskel could feel a few rapid fire vibrations radiate from his pocket.

Babe: Hey I think I’m gonna make waffles.

Babe: you have some strawberries in the fridge, should I make like a strawberry topping?

Babe: or blueberry?

Babe: blueberry and strawberry?

Babe:……… I love you!

Eskel let out a little snort from his nostrils before putting the phone back in his pocket.

“Well as… pleasant as this morning has been I have waffles waiting for me at home and I” Eskel looked around the driveway a second before flicking off a piece of gravel from his shoulder “am going to take advantage of them”

As the sound of the motorcycle faded into the distance Yennifer leaned into the side of the house.

“That could have gone a lot better”

“could have also gone a lot worse” Geralt responded, leaning over to pick up tools from around the car.

“I never did get my tie-tacks” Lambert piped up. “How mad do you think he’d be if I went back to his house to snag a waffle?”

Eskel: Nice, do you want me to bring anything?

Suhuyini: Your little girlfriend.

Calling this unexpected was, well, an understatement. Yennefer hugging him was unexpected. This was something else, something more. Them getting along at all was new. Hence why the bard absolutely froze as he realized what was happening. He didn’t know how to process it. Jaskier didn’t push her away, however, but when she did pull away, his brows knit in obvious confusion.

Toss a Coin to your Fandom...

Okay, this is going to be a bit of a weird ramble, so bear with me for a bit.

I am fandom confused and I totally get it and also it hurts my brain.

The Witcher is a show that just came out fairly recently. With the show came a whole new influx of fans, very suddenly, who are very, very eager. And I love it! I love these new Witcher fans! I love what they’re doing to the fandom and how they’re changing things! And I love the direction that the fandom is growing! 

But the grumpy, broody fanboy inside of me is upset, and I don’t know what to do with these odd feelings.

You see, since the moment the Witcher show was announced, I have been anticipating it with bated breath. The original Witcher is a book that was written in Polish and translated into other languages. This book had three video games based on it. The games did not get as popular as they are until the third one. I’ve enjoyed this series with my Significant Other since the second game.  When I found out they were making a show of one of my favourite books and video games, I was really hesitant. Once the showrunner was announced and she began to post character descriptions on twitter, I was cautiously optimistic. She seemed to have a strong understanding of the source material and was determined to keep it true to the original. Once I discovered Henry Cavill’s enthusiasm and passion for both the books and the game, I was slightly more excited; any actor who wants to play a character because they like them is likely to bring it their all. 

Let me tell you, I binge watched the entire series the day it came out. I’ve watched it since. I was floored. It was AMAZING. It was so true to the books, it kept the very essence of the Witcher alive within the episodes. Geralt was wonderful. Dandelion (who was allowed to return to his original Polish name, Jaskir) was AMAZING. Yennifer made me nervous when I first saw her, but as I watched the character grow into herself, she fully embodied everything that the orignal character ever was. I was so proud. I was so glad that the show turned out as well as it did, and I wanted everyone to watch it!

What I wasn’t expecting was that everyone would watch it.

Now, across my dash and on my friends’ blogs, I see SO much Witcher content! I see so many different Geralts and so many wonderful Dandelions (I have so much trouble calling him Jaskir, I’m awful! I’m sorry!). I see some stunning Jennifers and some Tris Merigolds who don’t have auburn hair but are beautiful nonetheless. 

More than anything, I see a lot of Geralt x Jaskir content.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good gay ship as much as the next fella. In fact, I had an argument about this with my SO. The way the show presents the relationship, I can TOTALLY see how one can get on board with the Jaskir x Geralt ship! I get it! The show absolutely presented it as if they are an amazing couple.

But the source material didn’t.

My SO tried to tell me that because the author never intended Jaskir and Geralt to be together and never intended Geralt to be gay, it’s a little weird. I explained to him about DEATH OF THE AUTHOR (which is a hill that I will DIE on) and that, based on the show alone, the ship makes sense.

But something is missing here.

I’m all down for Geralt and Jaskir. They’re cute, they’re great, the dynamic there is hilarious. I’m fine with is, so long as Geralt and Yennifer are still a thing.

The show did things REALLY well because I know what happened. I know what everything is and I know who everyone is. I know all of these events already, so watching them play out made sense to me. Unfortunately, I think the show may have been a lot more confusing for people who don’t know the source material. It jumps around in time a lot, nobody ages because magic, nobody has ever explained what the hell a Witcher even is, and The Wish was only briefly touched on. The wish. The Wish. The last wish that Geralt makes with that Djinn. 

In the show, it was presented as another story, another monster of the week, another thing that Geralt fought.

But that wish is more important than ANYTHING.

That wish is what draws Geralt and Yennifer together over and over and over again throughout their lives. That wish is why Geralt and Yennifer are never again certain if what they feel is love or simply the result of a powerful magic spell. That wish is EVERYTHING to Geralt and it forever defines his relationship with Yennifer.

Geralt and Yennifer are bound to each other. Whether it is real love or not, they are forever entwined by destiny.

We don’t even know what the heckin’ wish IS!  But we do know that it somehow ties them together, weaves their fates, keeps them as Geralt and Yen until the day they die.

So.

We have a problem.

I WANT to ship Geralt and Jaskir. I WANT to want it. I love it! I love that dynamic. But that bloody puritan fanboy inside of my does NOT want to see Geralt love anyone but Yen. He can have sex with anyone he wants. And he does. That’s just the way of mages and witchers and people in the universe. They have lots of sex. I just have so much trouble separating Geralt from Yen. Geralt LOVES Yen, whether he wants to or not. Yen loves Geralt, whether she wants to or not.

Geralt can have feelings for Jaskir.

He can be in love with Jaskir.

But Jaskir will never be to Geralt what Yen is to him. That’s just magic.

ANYWAY.

All this to say that I am... confused. By my own emotions. I don’t know how to feel. Like I’ve said, this new influx of fans is fantastic! More content! Hooray! It also means more Gerals x Jaskir, which is also hooray! I just... don’t know how to feel when there are two sides of me, deep down inside, that are at odds. Geralt and Yen and ONLY Geralt and Yen? Or should I get on this new sexy bandwagon that Geralt and Jaskir are both on and just let it happen in my mind?

Okay, ignore me and my ramble. This was just me putting my thoughts on paper! None of this is important other than the fact that I am excited about the Witcher and I love that I can talk about it with people!

Okay sorry, I have another rant, but this time it's about Jaskier.

Why does Jaskier stick around Geralt? I get that Geralt is his muse and what not, and he needs stories to continue his career as an artist, but other than that there really is no other reason.

Hear me out...

Geralt, for being a man shunned by society because he's a Witcher, doesn't respect Jaskier, the first human he's genuinely talked to in who knows how long. Not only that, but Jaskier fucking followed him for 20 years and if that doesn't prove anything, I don't know what does. Even then, Jaskier has remained loyal for 2 decades and Geralt still says 'no fuck you, I'm instead going to help and fuck this witch (no offense to Yennifer, she has my respect) who I met 10 seconds ago.'

Jaskier, everytime Geralt ignored or even remotely showed discontent, came and writhed at Geralt's feet just to make him feel better/comfortable(?). C'mon Geralt, you really betrayed Jaskier's feeling every time and you still blame him for the shit you started. Don't think I don't see you doing the exact thing you said you wouldn't (e.g. Geralt caring for his Child Suprise).

He just wants you to see him Geralt, is that so hard?

hi! i recently got into watching the witcher and i need to start writing as geralt of rivia! i would like to play him against yennifer or a female oc, i don't really mind what kind of character, or the fc, as long as they are age appropriate and fit in with the witcher universe. 

 i don't have a plot in mind, this is something we can discuss and come up with together. however if you have any plot you wanna try out don't hesitate to let me know! 

please note that this is for a discord 1x1, i don't rp on tumblr. also i have never played the game, nor have i read the books (yet) so my knowledge solely comes from the netflix show and i'll play geralt how he is on the show.

you must be 21+! as i am 29 i am extremely uncomfortable with roleplaying with anyone under 21. i might make exceptions with anyone aged 20, but that's under my own digression.

i will happily write smut and adapt to your comfort, however smut isn't a necessity if it's something you don't like and i won't do a plot that is solely based around smut.

i won't rp anything that's problematic or gross, i will let you know if something in a plot makes me uncomfortable and please do the same.

i typically write between 300-700 words depending on my muse or the situation that we are writing.

i require a healthy amount of angst and fluff in order to keep my muse for a ship. i'm someone who, as much as i love torturing my muses, i live for the cute fluffy moments as well.

please don't pressure me for a reply as i won't do it to you. i don't typically do rapid fire and mostly take a day or two to reply. however if our replies are short and i have free time, then you might get some replies back a lot quicker than normal.

i don't have triggers, but please do make me aware of yours beforehand so i know what to avoid.

if we are in the plotting stage and i don't hear back within a month then i will presume the 1x1 is over. if we are writing together and i don't hear back in 3 months then i will presume the 1x1 is over. however i do understand real life comes first and as long as we have some brief communication that you are still interested in the 1x1 then take all the time you need to reply!
