Thoughts on BATIM’s Crack-Up Comics, Part 3

And now, the Promotional Comics. The ones that weren’t ruined by some burst ink pipe, at least. 

I just realized now that all of the comics are based off some of the fanart contest winners. Names and all! The only two that don’t match is “The Devil’s Treasure” (but it looks just like “Bendy goes on a Treasure Hunt” and references it) and “Giddyup, Bendy!” Is the poster for this last one going to show up in The Dark Revival?

OH GOD. Construction sites plus vaudeville actors NEVER ENDS WELL.

I’m just now realizing that Bendy's mouth doesn’t change at all in this comic. Like, in the others he can have a down-ward smile or a pout. This just seems wooden and stuck.

But I do like how he’s making a proper birdhouse for these birds though. ...These... plucked birds, what in the....?

Also, what’s with mention GENT like this? I mean, yeah, it’s construction and all, but these comics were meant to be shown to investors and Hollywood bigwigs. Wouldn’t this kind of advertising be more appropriate for the comics they were selling to the general public?

Also. Bendy. HOW did you get a good looking birdhouse out of that pile of nonsense?

Bendy... Bendy you gotta be specific with your magic. Also, you made your cuffs disappear for a few panels there.

You know what? I do not blame you Boris. If that failed, sawing you in half is going to 100% kill you. 

Bendy’s smile is still on the wooden side here... Yes, he changes it up twice, but he seems stuck in that wide smile. 

Looks like Alice can still float... Somewhat? What?

OKAY, who was in charge of redesigning Boswell Lotsabucks here?! I DO NOT LIKE IT. He looks so pointy and unappealing...

Idahohiowa. Okay. Someone deserves money for coming up with that name. 

Oh sweet, Bendy isn’t as wooden in this one. But that train is being ridiculous. 

I’m....shocked that they made it to the station on time. Like, I’m glad, but still. 

Daaaang, this sweet train is flirting HARD.

Bendybeard? Really? He has no beard, it doesn’t WORK! And neither does “Dutchdevil”. It’s unoriginal. 

Though I do like seeing Boris being a rapscallion again. 

... Would not have suspected Boris to be upset being called a dog. It could just be part of a joke, but it feels odd. 

...You look good for being over 100 years old, Alice! 

I legit thought Barley was using the telescope to listen. ...I was a little confused seeing that.

PFFT! HAH!

...Is.... Does that pic of the Flying Dutchdevil look like Bendy’s Papa Pluto? Just add a beard and hat?

Whoever wrote out “All Washed Up” is frikkin hilarious. The “In fact, don’t attempt anything in this comic” got me offguard and I laughed outright. 

Aww, they’re worried about him.

I’m just know realizing that even though Bendy holds two guns in the first pic, his holsters are empty and there’s no guns used in the whole comic. Wonder why. It’s not the Hays Code or the CCA... Just weird.

Bacon chili and cornbread... Not gonna lie that sounds delicious. 

...The HELL is in that pork-neck chowder?? Ghost pepper?

Silly overall comic, but it’s cute. These ones are a lot shorter than the dime-store ones, but that makes sense. These were on pamphlets. 

I’m still super suspicious of Nathan Arch here... Something’s up and I don’t like it at all.
