At the moment, I am reading (finishing) the Sunday Times bestseller Periodic Tales by Hugh Aldersey-Williams. It’s really good if you want to get to know little tidbits about the elements ^_^ 

Also, Neil deGgrasse Tyson’s Cosmos: A Space-time Odyssey on Netflix is also really good! Never have I enjoyed tales of Isaac Newton as much as while watching this!

Oh, last week I posted that annual meme thing of which one of the sections was about New Years' resolutions, and as I said I don't make those, because how you live your life is how you live your life, not how you live for an arbitrary first day of the year. That said, though, I did note that when I looked at my recreational reading log for the year, I'd only finished eleven books - a record low for me.

Now, obviously that isn't all I read - the #recreationalreading thing I log doesn't include magazines, random short stories or articles from the types of book you just dip into, or books read for work purposes - but even accounting for that it's less than half what I usually manage. So the closest thing to a resolution I could really be willing to make is to make the effort to get that balance adjusted to get the number of recreational books back up to normal... (which probably means finding a new blindfold/sleep-mask for Lesley so she doesn't make me turn the light off when I'm half way through the first page at night... I also often used to get through books on long train journeys, but haven't been on one of those this year...)
