Principalmente en la educación básica, los profesores nos atormentaban de conceptos, teorías, fechas, datos históricos, procedimientos y personajes. Nos premiaban y reconocían si reteníamos toda esa información, catalogándonos como personas listas, pero el conocimiento y su aplicación no solo es memorización, debe de motivar a los estudiantes a ser críticos, reflexivos y comprender lo que se les plantea.  

La educación docente no es un modelo en el que solo los educandos aprenden, debe de ser un aprendizaje mutuo.

Según Enfoque Educación, blog de la División de Educación del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) menciona que “la memorización es la forma más baja de aprendizaje [..] puede llegar a crear barreras en la mente que impidan explorar y pensar de forma crítica” (2021). Algunas de las estrategias sugeridas en la educación son el debate, un taller, clases prácticas, resolución de ejercicios y problemas, aprendizaje cooperativo, por decir algunos. La característica principal de estos métodos es que buscan la participación de los estudiantes al intervenir en las dinámicas, generando un reforzamiento de conocimientos, motivando la argumentación y comprensión de los temas que se vean.

En Belice se diseñó el Programa de Mejora de la Calidad de la Educación (EQIP), busca mejorar la calidad y equidad de género en los niveles de primaria y secundaria 1. En este, los profesores recibían visitas para ver cómo eran las clases y les hacían sugerencias constructivas para mejorar su desempeño. Justo en estos programas se trabaja con las propuestas que mencioné, motivando la colaboración de los alumnos. Los resultados de la secundaria fueron positivos, ya que hubo una comparación con grupos dónde no estaba el EQIP, se vio que:

Las ganancias de aprendizaje en matemáticas fueron equivalentes a 9 semanas adicionales de instrucción, o el 22% de un año académico. En ciencias y lengua, las ganancias equivalen a 16 y 14 semanas respectivamente. 2

Este es tan un ejemplo de cómo influyen la manera en que se imparten las clases en los alumnos, por supuesto también se necesita del compromiso de nosotros, porque como dije, el aprendizaje no es unidireccional, todos en el aula con sus participaciones aportan algo valioso.

      @scige )      isaac liked to consider himself a responsible drinker.    as responsible as one could be while also being extremely chaotic.   nevertheless, he had rules for himself, the two most important being:  don’t get cross-faded    &     never drink heavily the night before an early practice.  but as he sits on a curb outside of a house party, his head resting in his hands with groans releasing from drunken lips, he’s come to realize that both of those rules have been broken.  hence why, pnly moments earlier, he tapped saige on the shoulder and asked her to come outside with him with the idea that he    (   needed to speak to her  ).   it wasn’t necessarily true.  however romeo was no where to be found   &   saige was the only other person he felt comfortable throwing up around if needed.  thankfully, it wasn’t needed yet.  he looks up, forgetting already that he had asked her to follow him outside and offers a genuinely happy grin.    “      holy shit, saige, when’d you get here ?      ”       words came out slightly slurred but excited nonetheless  &    at least the tug in his stomach telling him he should be kneeling over a toilet bowl stopped.     “      a party’s not a party without fucking saige !   when we go back in there we’re gonna take a shot, alright ?   in your honor.        ”

Jack was on a path of self destruction it seemed nothing would be able to stand in the way of. Not the distance that stood separating him and Saige. Not the pounding in his ears from the blows he’d taken from Ducky and his own cousin only moments before. Not even the bag of ice he held pressed to his jaw could cool of the dumpster fire that was becoming his life choices. He’d been locked eyes with her since entering the kitchen. At first, it’d started as a plea for sympathy, for someone to care about the fact that he’d just gotten quite literally tag teamed in the other room, and not even in a fun way.
