Daichi’s silent a moment, unsure if he should actually fuel your ego or not. When you don’t say anything else he assumes you were teasing, kissing your arm tenderly just so you know he heard you.

“Daichi,” you whisper.

“Hm?”

“Tell me about your day,” you say, your words slurring a bit.

A quizzical expression spreads across his face, “I already told you earlier. Were you not listening?”

“I was.” Your voice is barely audible as you speak, “Tell me again, I love the sound of your voice.”

A light pink dusts his cheeks and he can’t repress his smile. He knows you’re drifting off, finding comfort in this moment and falling asleep on his back. Still, he talks to you, quietly recalling today’s events as if it was the first time he was telling you. Even if you weren’t listening, he’d talk to you until you fell asleep — only to do it all again in bed when you finally get home.
