“Y’know, you were the one that wanted to come all the way out here,” Tachihara mumbles, squatting down to allow you to hop onto his back.

You giggle, fully aware that it was your idea to take a walk, and that it was your fault the two of you went a little too far. 

“It’s a long walk back, Tachi,” you pout, draping your arms over his shoulders as he grabs your legs.

Carefully, he rises to his feet, making sure to keep his arms locked with your legs so you don’t fall. He had an inkling you did this on purpose; bringing him all the way out here. He didn’t mind though. Tachihara’s always enjoyed spending time with you, it didn’t matter what you were doing. This was just another one of those times.

The sun had already set about an hour ago, leaving the sky dark and littered with stars. There were very few streetlights, barely illuminating the empty road. A warm breeze brushes against your skin, and the soft chirping of crickets could be heard, filling the silence of the environment. Your voice soon breaks it, coming out as a whisper in Tachiara’s ear.

“You smell really good,” you praise, kissing his cheek.

“Thank you,” he blushes, never getting tired of your compliments.

For whatever reason he couldn’t think of something to continue the conversation. It was a short comment, he wasn’t sure why it flustered him. 

Tachihara turns his head just a bit, tenderly kissing your arm which rested right beside he jaw.

“I love you,” he mutters, kissing your skin once more.

“I love you more,” you say, kissing his flushed cheek, “I’m not getting heavy, am I?”

He shakes his head, “No, I could do this all day.”

His statement was bullshit and you both knew that, but it elicits a laugh.

“Pick up the pace then, ginger,” you tease, “We’ll never get there if you take your sweet time.”

He rolls his eyes, “Hold on then,” he warns, hoisting you up a little higher on his back so you don’t slip.

Just as you had suggested, Tachihara walks a little faster, soon turning his leisurely stroll into a sprint. You shout his name, tightening your hold on him, worried you’d fall off his back. There was a sudden rush of adrenaline pumping through your veins though, uncontrollable laughter escaping the both of you as you make your way down the vacant street.

Comfortably, you sit on Iwaizumi’s lap, resting your head on his shoulder. He wraps an arm around your waist, keeping you close. The fire crackles in the pit of the fireplace, providing a somehow serene noise to your otherwise silent living room. A tender kiss is placed on your forehead, your boyfriend’s voice a near whisper as he speaks.

“How was your day, love?”

“Good,” you say, “I missed you, though.”

“Mm, I missed you too,” he smiles, gently rubbing your side, “You were all I thought about, y’know.”

You blush, even though his statement shouldn’t have come as a surprise.

“Oh yeah?”

“Mhm,” he nods, soon resting his head against yours, “Couldn’t wait to come home.”

Home. Something about that word made your heart flutter. You haven’t been living together all that long, yet he already felt at home. It’s not that you found that outlandish — you felt the same — it’s just the fact that you hadn’t heard him say it like that yet. It was a silly thing to be so giddy over, still, you couldn’t help but smile.

“I’m glad you’re home,” you grin, and he gives you a gentle squeeze.

“You said you had a good day,” he reiterates, “Tell me about it.”

He lifts his head just to look at you, and you do the same, still wearing your blush from earlier. He was good at maintaining eye contact and it would always be something that’d fluster you.

“Well,” you start, “I knew it was gonna be a good day when you stayed in a bed a couple extra minutes this morning.”

Your eyes fall from his, your face burning up presumably out of embarrassment.

“You’re adorable,” he chuckles, “That made my day better as well.”

He kisses the top of your head, “And this.”

“Mm,” you smile bashfully, “How was work?”

“Work was fine. This is better,” he states, cupping your cheek to pull you in for a kiss. 

It takes you by surprise but you’re quick to give in — tiny pecks soon becoming a more drawn out and passionate kiss. Despite every treasured moment you’ve shared with him, you’re sure you’ve never felt more loved than you do right now; held by your beloved boyfriend, in the comfort of your shared home.

Akaashi had been wanting to take you out for dinner for quite some time now. Only recently did he gain the confidence to ask. Typically he wasn’t so shy, but you made him feel things no one else has before — that being the reason he waited so long to ask you out. 

So here you were now, sitting together in a booth at the sushi restaurant he offered to take you to. You’re both quiet as you browse the menu, enjoying the comfortable silence while trying to simultaneously ignore the sound of heart thumping in your chest. Every so often you could see him look up from his menu to look at you, the action making your face heat up. 

Some time passes and you both order, though you’re reluctant to receive your meal. You decided to get something new, something you’ve been wanting to try but never have before. Akaashi was hoping you still enjoyed whatever you ordered, secretly worried that you’d consider this a failed date if you ended up not liking your food. 

You both thank the waitress when your meals arrive. Akaashi sits there a moment, toying with his fingers as he contemplates his next move.

“Wait, before you do anything,” he says, using his chopsticks to pick up a piece of sushi from his plate, “Try this and tell me what you think.”

He offers it to you, in a way that implies he was trying to feed you. Your cheeks burn and a bashful giggle escapes you.

“You want me to try yours?” you ask genuinely, “I don’t even know what mine tastes like.”

He blushes, lowering his arm, “I know. But in case you don’t like yours, I want you to have another option.”

His gesture was much more considerate than you anticipated — you found it endearing. 

“This dish is one of my favorites, so I wanted you to try it…” he trails off, the tone of his voice hard to read.

“I-I’ll try it,” you interfere, not wanting him to feel bad for subtly making a move.

His expression remains the same but his eyes seem to flicker with excitement. Akaashi offers his sushi once more, still wearing a light blush as he waits for you to take it. You lean forward, taking the sushi in your mouth. You cover your mouth as chew, partially because you’re embarrassed you let him feed you on the first date. Akaashi takes a bit of his own food as well, just so he isn’t staring at you while you eat. 

“That’s really good,” you say after finishing what he gave you.

He smiles, quickly swallowing his food to reply, “I’m glad you like it.”

A bit more comfortable now, you dig into your meal, less hesitant and more excited than before. Luckily, you do end up liking the meal you chose which meant Akaashi wouldn’t have to share anymore of his own. Not that he had a problem with that — part of him was a bit upset he didn’t have an excuse to feed you again.
