Playing an active part as the vocalist of co-ed performance group [AAA (Triple A)] and as a solo artist. He co-starred with Sukima Switch three years ago. He showed off the high-pitched tone which is the best part of the famous song “Kanade”. It has became a hot topic on the internet with comments like “I had goosebumps” and “It filled my heart”.

Since his 2nd year in junior high school, he had been playing guitar and dancing together with his friends on the streets of Sapporo city. In 2003 during his 2nd year in technical high school, he passed the audition from the entertainment agency but it was agreed that he’ll have to quit if he can’t debut after two years. “My father was strongly against it. I went to Tokyo with a promise that I’ll start again from High School if I failed. But I managed, desperately, to debut in 2005.”

In 2009, he starred in the movie “Love Exposure” directed by Sion Sono for the first time. He played an award-winning role of a teenager who lives with his priest father. 2 years after, Director Ninagawa Yukio-san (80) saw the movie and invited him to take part in the stageplay “Shitayamanenchou Monogatari”. There were also times when he felt being clogged up by the atmosphere of the entertainment world.

Even during the first meeting for the “script reading”, he suddenly yelled “it’s no good”. Even though the setting is the post-war period, he couldn’t do that period’s way of speaking. “I was challenged even by just reading the script. But I thought of Ninagawa-san’s direction. **I can’t lose and had small fighting spirit.” After the practice, he thought of the words from that period one by one in his head, and practiced again and again all night to get in the role. And on the next day of practice, he was told by Ninagawa-san, “you can do it, can’t you~”, and got laughed at.

The rehearsals were fun despite them being continuously nerve-wracking that lasted for more than a month. However, before the final rehearsal, he felt suddenly anxious “my acting is okay, right?”, and was told by by Ninagawa-san “You have things I do not have; I want you to show them thoroughly”. He continued, “I’ll bully you if you make a mistake.” His back was pushed with Ninagawa-san’s unique encouragement. “I cherish those moments and the tension of the actors. I was allowed to feel the real pleasure of that place by facing it earnestly.” Also taking what he had learned from Ninagawa-san, his first solo album will be released this month. It’s going to be a compilation of 10 years worth of his activities.

I'm so happy omg, so surprised like how did this even happen did they not see how much of a nervous wreck I was i don't even know...i didn't even build the jelly baby spaghetti tower hahaha what is going on

gonna sing some Etta James now because this is my favourite time of year for jazz music PLUS i mean yes AT LAST. 

now i'm gonna try and work out how this affects Now, Now plans - I need an induction, then training, and then I can start, so I might be missing half of the shows, and I might have to send awkward 'sorry for all the plans we made but i don't need your couch anymore' messages to the nice people who replied to my requests but it might work out were i can miss the shows that were awkward to get to anyway, like a couple of the London ones maybe (which would also mean i wouldn't have to be suspicious and miss so much school).
