If she were in Marley, right about now people would be falling to their knees at the sight of her. Piss-faced military officers would be hurriedly coming up with digestible, party-line-following explanations and praises while cursing themselves for not getting to her in time to hide her, get a report from her, experiment on her, make some kid eat her, and dispose of her body. Suggestions about sainting her would be circulating. Weeping Eldian mothers would be bringing babies for her to bless. A fucking miracle and all that.

But instead, her crystal cracked where it had apparently been sitting for the past four years straight, on a day when no one had time to check on a hibernating girl while she lay limp on the floor, unable to move her rubbery bones. She heard a faint, distant roar, like a mini populist uprising or whatever.

Blood seeped from a light cut a shard had made on her palm. She closed her eyes.

An example would be Saiyan's from Dragon ball. It won't matter if they have met a Saiyan in a ship rp, in my universe Saiyan's aren't a species that a realm hopper would come across since my universe isnt part of the DB multiverse so it will always be my guys first time meeting a saiyan outside the ship rp.

In other words, each rp outside the ship has nothing to do with with the ship. It has no impact to the ship. If one of my characters in in a ship with that species the rp won't be conected to that ship as its from a different timeline.

So if the other character of that ship is mentioned by your muses my muses will have no clue who your muse is talking about as they will have never met that muse.

So this is a mix of stuff to apply to RP and just personal curiosity. What sort of toys were typical for children in the time periods that are your area of expertise, if there were any? And how did they differ based on social class?

So here is the thing with toys, regardless of time and space and all the new tec they have remained very much the same. This is going to end up as long ramble so sit tight and I hope I can answer what you're looking for. You basic toy is often still made out of wood. We see things like building blocks, small whittled balls, toy animals as well as tops and Jacob's ladders. These are all things that could have been made at home or by a family member. What is interesting is how long these types of toys have been played with. My own cubs have a set of wooden ABC blocks, while clearly made by machine they are almost interchangeable with the set we have at the museum. Top also keep showing up, and while the ones at my house are plastic it's really the same thing. We also have a great little scooter made out of wood it's sized for child about two or so. Very close in shape and style to the little plastic one you see at modern toy shops. You also see wind up and clockwork toys. For a very long time these were more novel things played with by adults. Perhaps children of the extremely upper classes would have them. As we move though the industrial revolution with in the larger city centres you might see children of upper middle classes having them to play with. So think the Banks children in Mary Poppins. A child in this class bracket and up might also have a doll with a china head. The body would be cotton and stuffed. Most dolls would have been rag dolls with scraps tied or sewn together to create the body. Wool dolls were also made bunching and tying strands together to make a human type figure. Oh and clothes peg dolls all you need clothes peg (think the old style with the little nob part up at the top) something to draw a face with and then if you were really lucky you might have a bit of fabric to create a makeshift outfit with. You could also use them as toy soldiers. Again the higher up class wise you might have carved wood ones or even tin or led soldiers. Games like checkers and nine man Morris also popular. The boards could be made from slices of tree stumps, we have one like this at work and the pieces again from wood or with Nine man you could also use marbles. I should add that marble and jacks also popular. Skipping ropes all you would need is a rope! You see also some balls made out of leather or such stuffed with hair or straw. I am not sure regarding places outside of Upper Canada though in regards to this. We have information on games played with balls like this used by First Nations, though this maybe is more of a topic of sport vs toy. As far as what class of child played with what the higher up on the social class the nicer the toys you had. Things that could be bought at stores rather than homemade. You have to look also at where a child was. A farming family even if well offish may not have the chance to "shop" for toys someone who lived in the city might. A child on a farm would not have the time to play as much as maybe a city child. (Not to say that children in the cities didn't work they did often that’s a whole other thing) Hope that is what you're looking for! Thanks for the ask.
