I love Good Omens very much, and immidiatly read the book after watching season one.

I was watching the show with my parents when my father brought up a swedish show that has very similar concept as Good Omens. It’s called ’En ängels tålamod’ (An angels patience) and It’s about an angel called Gabriel who’s sent to earth to help out a single mom called Amanda. There, he finds out a fallen angel called Bruno is also on earth to corrupt her, and the plot continues from there. It’s basically like Good Omens but lower stakes, the humor being very simular as well! Good Omens still came first since I don’t think it was based on a book, but I just thought the parallel was funny. It was made in 2001 and I don’t think it was broadcasted anywhere other than TV4 in sweden, but I wanted to ask if you’ve ever heard of it?

What fun. I hadn't heard of it. I wonder if the people who made it had ever read the Good Omens book.

Today it's time for Kristallen, the Swedish equivalent of the Emmys where awards for the best tv-shows are being handed out. But compared to the Emmys where the creators behind the shows get awards, Kristallen has chosen to keep the creators in the sidelines. In stead TV profiles and actors are in the front and center and ar rewarded. The decision has been met with criticism from the creators of these shows.

Lisa Ambjörn, the creator of Young Royals id disappointed with the decision to not let the creators receive any awards. Last year she boycotted the gala for that reason. - We don't have a real equivalent to the Emmys or Baftas in Sweden. The closest we get is Kristallen. Therefore it's sad that only actors, producers and in some cases male directors are the ones ro receive the actual awards, year after year.

-If the audience is uninterested in the creatora, writers, directora, photographers and editors of their favourite ahoes, it's because these people are rarely acknowledged and their work and importance for the end product is not acknowledged either, Ambjörn says.

Script writers behind Young Royals, Sofie and Tove Forsman, agree. It should be a given that creators and script writers get recognised on a gala where their work is being nominated and win awards. As it stands now its not even a given that script writers get an invitation.
