È stata la mano di Dio - Paolo Sorrentino
Don't ever come undone! You can't allow that. Because they didn't leave you alone, they abandoned you. Don't go to Rome, come see me, I’m always here. We will make films together.
To come undone would be to lose one's unity, one's essence, one's being, which in the dialogue seems inextricably linked to the permanence of Naples and to that concept of "neapolitaness" with which the entire film is permeated. It is precisely in his "neapolitaness", therefore, that the essence, the unity of the person resides. Don't come undone means don't lose yourself, remain rooted in that city, that place, in which you recognise the last remaining part of your essence, in which your memories remain.
