⁂ @chosenleader ❤’d for a thing
“ Hey... ”
The voice that calls to her is quiet and hesitant, almost sounding as though its owner half-hopes she might not hear him. Shiro doesn’t approach Black -- or any of the lions, for that matter -- often, as it’s not his place, and even in this moment he feels as though he shouldn’t be. Like he’s crossing some kind of line that those who aren’t Paladins shouldn’t step over. However, he’s at a loss for what else to do and, after stewing on it for a few days now, he’s finally collected his courage and decided to simply go for it.
When he comes to a stop, there’s still a fair amount of distance between himself and the lioness and, if it wasn’t already clear in his voice, the way he holds himself makes his uncertainty that much more obvious.
“ Is... --Is Keith doing okay? I wouldn’t bother you with this, but... he won’t talk
to me about these things. Not honestly, anyway. I know that he worries about
me a lot, and he doesn’t want me to worry about him, but-- I just-- ...That’s not
fair to him. And I want to know if things aren’t okay. ”

☄ @saiichii ❤’d for an ageswap verse starter
It’s still strange and new to step into the lions, though he supposes that
makes sense, since it hasn’t been all that long since... everything changed
all at once and he found himself out here on some planet in a system far
from Earth. Plus, he doesn’t actually fly one of the lions, so he’s only entered
their decks two, maybe three times in total so far. Regardless of how odd it
feels though, it’s... fascinating, and it makes Shiro a little extra glad that Keith
asked him to sort of tutor Hiro on how to pilot because it means he’ll get to
spend some time around the Red Lion’s control room. For a while, anyway.
Until Hiro doesn’t need the assistance anymore.
He’s quiet as he steps into the cockpit, eyes darting over the holoscreens that
are already up and active before his gaze comes to rest on Hiro, already in his
seat and seeming pretty ready to go. Clearing his throat so the other knows
he’s there and he doesn’t startle him when he speaks, Shiro approaches the
back of the pilot’s seat and places a hand on one of its shoulders.
“Hey, Hiro. Keith told me that you needed some help with
getting the hang of flying? I hope you don’t mind that he
sent me instead of coming to help you out himself, he’s...
Well, he’s not the best when it comes to teaching. He’s, uh.
...He doesn’t have a lot of patience.”
