oh, she's such a jewerly girlie. you can't catch her without at least some three pieces of jewerly: she always wear earrings (she has multiple piercings too), she also likes to wear necklaces (long ones because she paid for her tits so she gotta draw attention to the cleavage), she also loooves bracelets and anklets!

yes, domitila is a very touchy person. i feel that capitolites in general are raised with a sense of welcome towards touching, something similar to the brazilian mindset that this is normal — only that capitolites take it a notch up and make it even more... intrusive (we see that in the books, that they do this with district people/victors). so, naturally, domitila thinks it is all normal, but she is more mindful of boundaries than your average capitolite, and likes to check if people are okay being touched before she does so (she has been bitten by a tribute once lmao). i think she's fine with pda, but, surprisingly, she likes lines — she may have slept with some of the older victors, but she wouldn't initiate (nor would she like to be initiated) anything close to sexual touching in public if she's sober.

i think domi would love — and has done — several bar crawls. a fun adventure for her would be to set a minimal limit of parties to go to per night and do them all; she's competitive, so she enjoys the challenge, regardless of how silly it is.

a tribute bit her once, that may have been the closest thing to a physical fight she's been in. only i  don't think it can be considered a fight when she didn't fight back, just stood there in shock.

what they wanted to be when they grew up vs what they do now. (domi)

i think domitila didn't have a clear idea of what she wanted to do until she was into her teens, reintroduced to wealth by her mother's marriage to a creed; she was attracted to beautiful things before, but what could she do with that? interior design? party planning? those are feesible options, sure, but she didn't think much of it until she just decided she would be a fashion designer. she had also an inkling, from her childhood, that she would like to be a part of something great, of something that would make her famous, and she saw that on the games, on the way tigris and other contemporaries had risen, so she knew she wanted to do something within the games. so being a stylist for two was pretty much all that she had imagined, even with its downs.

i think that fantasy has cracked, this past month since the games' end, because before, she could delude herself into smoothing down a crease of a flaw (why do some victors have so many lovers? well, she can't think of that! she has many lovers too, they're just mingling! everyone's happy!) but it's become harder to do that when your previously well-cared for subjects suddenly are brought to you with all of their traumas pouring out. even she has eyes (and a heart).

2) What is Domi's personal opinion on those in power on the side Domi has allegiance to?

when domitila was born, coriolanus snow was already powerful enough that people learned to respect him. spending some of her teenagehood under the roof of one of his childhood best friends, festus creed, she was taught even further reverence so by the point she becomes a part of the games, snow is nothing but a generous man. how could he not be? she's not naive to think a government can be done without some little violence now and then, but with the way the war has been going, the rose colored lenses is slowly fading away, giving room for fear for herself. still, she's good at gaslighting herself into thinking that this is still the rebel's fault, that if the riots had not gone so far, they'd still be living happily — at least there were less deaths during the games!!

anyways, i've gone on a detour. to keep it simple: she's struggling to reconcile the merciful good generous president image to the man she's growing fearful of; she isn't a fan of the whole 'stepping on eggshells' game she has to do now, and she wonders until when she can still make herself useful and the costs of that to her mental state (something she's never thought of in all her years as a stylist for the games).

speaking modern verse! i don't think she'd be into tv shows and movies as much as she'd be into reality shows, though she watches the things that are trending of course. like, she'd be a beyonce fan, she'd have been super into paris hilton and now is into the kardashians and all those cheesy relationship shows. she watched scream for j*da p!nkett and is on all opening nights for the sequels after that. as a brazilian, she watches every big brother brasil and roots for the messiest people.

oh, she doesn't know how. she can acknowledge the practical things she is good at (which is basically hunting) but she doesn't like to be made a fuss of because it's no big deal.

i feel like he'd have been keen on watching all released movies when he was younger, and that came with awful movies though i'm inclined to believe there is some sort of censure within panem because snow wouldn't be happy with films that demand critical thinking. that being said, the capitol must have a lot of silly films, like a lot of romcoms and straight up comedies. he used to enjoy horrible but funny comedies when he was younger, but he sticks to more serious media nowadays. in a modern verse, he'd enjoy parodies and such (scary movie comes to mind) but he'd prefer documentaries, particularly those of history and war (because i could be wrong, but these are the things he'd have watched with his family when he was younger, and that brings some kind of good memories of sharing moments with them that he tries to revive).

Mockingjay: What is/was Domi's relationship with their parents like? Who in their family do they turn to for a shoulder?

for as little as she remembers her father, domitila had a nice enough relationship with him. he was a good father, and she was his only child, so she was spoiled. of course, it's been over two decades, so her memories of her father are fuzzy, distant, something heightened by her mother's adamant orders for her to move on and not suffer too much. nowadays, she thinks that distance was necessary because her father was a loser (her mother's words) and she's better off away from him; she doesn't even use his last name because of that.

as for her mother, i think miss marilia is...she is. i think in her own way she loves her daughter, and domitila loves her too, but her daughter has never been the center of her life. i think this hurt domitila more when she was younger, but she's convinced herself warm, caring, more than everything maternal love is something like a fantasy, and she's instead filled that hole with materialism. of course, she still is in contact with her mother; they share a meal at least once a month, and meet up socially more often. she's still not her mother's focus, but marilia is a meddler so domitila has to hear her complains now and then. unlike with her father's name, domitila is more acquainted with her mother's - both her maiden name and her husband's, who are older and wealthier families, whose circle has helped domitila rise up.

as mentioned above, her family is not warm nor is it close, so i don't think she'd turn for comfort with anyone. she knows better than to do it with her mother or her stepfather, and she loathes her half-sibling. she'd prefer whine and moan to a friend, even if most of hers aren't true ones, not that she'd ever admit this.

Green: When Domi cannot fall asleep, what thing(s) usually run through their mind?

domitila is very loose on what requires self-medication, so if she thinks she's too amped to sleep for some reason, she right away takes a sleeping pill to stop all thoughts. that being said, not naturally sleeping usually comes from a place of anxiety, be it good or not. sometimes, she's too giddy thinking of things like a gossip she has discovered and can't wait to spread, or an outfit design that has just popped in her mind and won't leave, but other times she overanalyzes interactions and situations, thinks about insecurities like always being second best or forgotten, or she remembers of dead kids whose murders she enjoyed cheering for.

what’s the first major event they remember in their life? & how do they handle being upset/angry? do they yell, cry, go silent, etc? for domi

it’s not particularly a big event, but domitila remembers being something like seven — by then, her father had lost most of his business fairly recently — and her father getting her mother a new outfit for some society thing; a new outfit meant it all: gown, hair piece, jewelry, shoes. instead of being happy, the matriarch threw a whole fit, and domitila could not understand it. in the middle of the argument, her mother called her in and told her to smash the alleged jewels, which she did — the “jewelry” had been nothing but fake glass. her mother told her that cheap things always show, and she would have none of that, and that kinda became something domitila carries with her to this day, not only at work, but especially at work. she loathes when things — or people — look cheap, and she goes through a great effort to make her items appear — and, well, be — high end.

first off, she hates being upset. it’s demeaning, it’s humiliating, it’s bad. so her moods don’t often come in tears, but in shock, anger or depression; the first can be seen, but the other two not. when she’s angry she likes to scream and smash things (which she definitely learned from her mother lmao), and when she’s depressed, she stays in bed, but the later is mostly rare, because she can’t allow herself ever to get to that “embarrassing” state.

do they have anyone they consider their enemy?  what did they do to gain that title? for domi!

since she's a brainwashed babe, she definitely thinks of the "rebellion" and "the rebels" (in quotes because she doesn't even quite get it, the movement as a whole and the people rioting) as the enemy. before learning of the existence of rebellion in the districts, she probably saw cinna as a competition — not an enemy, per se, but a thorn on her side due to jealousy.

do they enjoy silence or find it too loud? (for domi)

sooo, domitila doesn't have a sob story like con for this! her father was a lovely man, her mother was abusive in her own way but domitila has never feared speaking too much — and this has definitely shaped her to be as outspoken and insensitive as she is now — but speech is a way of asserting yourself, in her eyes when others don't use it, it is uncomfortable — what are they thinking? what are they going to do? she prefers knowing, she prefers talking, she prefers listening. she is definitely a blabbermouth, and i think she likes it when people are too (which is why, among other things, working with thea has proved a trial sometimes!), even if it is for silly things.

i think the only moments in which she doesn't mind the quiet are when she is very concentrated about work; she doesn't mind if the only sound is the swish of the pen against the digital desk, or the sewing machines' noise.
