with Zephia being written after the canon events of Engage, the likelihood of spoilers appearing in their posts is highly possible. of course, I will tag all of the appropriate posts accordingly. the official tag for any spoilers will be # engage spoilers to avoid them.

hired at Garreg Mach Monastery as a professor ( switching between Sword, Reason, and Flying classes ) and a dutiful church attendant, Zelphia arrives in Fódlan to shatter the unity of the Church of Seiros. with every crack of doubt created, she hopes to engrain the teachings of the Fell Dragon into the young minds of her students; to start their conquest over in a new continent.

having been brought back, Zephia has recognized her prior relationship with the Four Hounds as the kind of love she's fought so hard for. however, the effect this will have on her IC will be gradual. her detachment and independence from Lord Sombron as her utmost priority upon realizing that she can successfully create pawns to unconditionally love her is another factor I hope to explore with time. this is not to say that she does not / will not still support Sombron's cause.

also, in the case that it must be stated, Zephia is not a friendly or kind-hearted muse. none of her intentions are, in the slightest, of goodwill. there are plenty of boundaries that she will purposefully cross without apologizing and social standards she will break. Zephia is a bad person that will not be redeemed on this blog. just let it be known that I do not agree or condone her actions or morals.

because of how often she was near / learned of the Emblems and had a hand on them at some point, Zephia will mistake some muses in the monastery for their Emblem alternates. of course, this will be one-sided and not reciprocated.

as Zelestia is Zephia's alternate, I am beyond open to writing her for little AU / split interactions that are not set in the timeline of current Fódlan. depending on certain prompts / ask memes, Zelestia will be substituted instead of Zephia for a more fitting response. this substitution will be less than the amount I write Zephia since her alternate is not the muse I applied for.

𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐒 is the daughter of the 2nd Earl of Bellamond. Her family line has been in England for the previous four centuries, with much of their wealth coming from business decisions and banking. While the family had already been wealthy before emigrating to England, the availability to expand their riches increased since Britain emerged as a growing power. Connections formed within university, allowing for the title of baron — which was a rarity due to their ancestry. Over the years, those connections expanded, and with the further accumulation of money ( aka status ), Emily's grandfather was able to acquire the title of earl. This was an unheard of accomplishment for any Jewish family in the entire history of Britain.

However, due to their heritage, they continued to experience antisemitism among the gentry. Their wealth and connections allowed room for prestige, but not respect. Since England was almost predominately Christian, much of the Margolis' worship took place within their own home privately. Once restrictions against Jewish people rising up in government positions lowered, the Margolis family was present in many affairs throughout the country. Synagogues were aided with their generous financial provisions, and any Jewish family who lived in England came to hear of their name through promoted interest in the community.

By the time Emily was born, much of the hardship had passed ( though not entirely ) as Jewish citizenship was increasing and becoming naturalized. While she carried on her family surname, Emily's parents chose a given name to allow her to align closer to British society and help her avoid further scrutiny. Emily's primary hardship was nevertheless encountering prejudice among ranking nobles, those who saw a Jewish earl as diminishing Christian power. At the same time, their title and Emily's famously renowned beauty and assets positioned her as a TROPHY to be won and converted by many eligible bachelors. As such, and in-line with many community thoughts, Emily's parents sought out Jewish lineage in a match, or at the very least, families without a strong connection to the church and thus would be willing to convert.

𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐕𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐓 is the son of a wealthy fish merchant whose family emigrated in the late 1700s from the Netherlands. While his mother desperately wishes to boost their standing among the British upper class and they have the money to do so, their adherence to Jewish beliefs and lack of family history has made doing so rather difficult. Victor's parents expect anyone who marries their son to convert and practice Judaism, though they themselves are considered lax in their beliefs. 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐓 was born and raised a Christian. Her parents and ancestors did not show a particularly charitable and merciful side, but made repeated financial mistakes as a result of short-sighted greed. This left them desperate for money. A marriage to the 𝖵𝖺𝗇 𝖣𝗈𝗋𝗍s is agonized over for both being Jewish and “new money”, but necessary to avoid the poorhouse. Victoria herself is not adamant about her religious beliefs and is willing to convert when in a loving relationship. While they have a Christian ceremony initially, Victoria speaks with a rabbi to learn how to convert to Judaism. For two years she studies. Once she has converted, they have a Jewish wedding to solidify their bond under a shared faith.

given the nature of the game's ending, i write him as being a traveler (but ultimately Midg.ard is his home that he always will return to). he will almost always introduce himself as Lo.ki if he's beyond the Nor.se realms, but he'll mention either name if it comes up

as of right now, i probably won't be using icons with him. this is subject to change

Atre.us has powers, some attributed to his godhood and some to being a giant. These abilities are:

canon: he can shapeshift into animals. in game he shifts into both a bear and a wolf. this is initially an expression of rage, uncontrollable and dangerous. by the end of the game, he has gained control of his rage in these forms. he can only hold these forms for a limited amount of time.

headcanon: atr.eus hones these skills post-Ragn.arök, including during his travels. by 16 he can maintain shifting into an animal for quite a long time. he can also shapeshift into most animals (although the larger the animal, the harder to maintain). he defaults to a wolf, just like in-game, however.

headcanon: by adulthood, atr.eus has mastered shifting his appearance and is able to take on different characteristics and even take on the appearance of others. the latter makes him uncomfortable and is reserved for worst-case scenarios. he can hold appearance changes for a significant amount of time. he may begin exploring gender identity here, as he is Lo.ki.

canon: atr.eus has the ability to understand languages at an inhuman speed. given a cipher, he can memorize it with eidetic memory and be able to read the language pretty much instantly. without a cipher, he is capable of still figuring out most languages. he is shown canonly being able to read and/or speak: dead languages (ex. the World Serpent's language), more than one Norse language, ancient Greek (possibly taught some by Kra.tos), Japanese (no cipher, no teaching), and Egyptian (no cipher, no teaching).

headcanon: atre.us's language abilities only strengthen with age. he can speak almost like a native in most languages. he often seems to simply "know" what something means.

canon: atre.us has the ability to feel animals' emotions and, sometimes, hear their thoughts. this sometimes extends to other beings as well. he is capable of communicating with many types of animals and is seen canonly carrying on conversations with wolves.

headcanon: with age, this ability fully transcends animals. he can always feel someone's emotions and can sometimes hear their thoughts. he has to do this intentionally and consciously, however (and, under most circumstances) wouldn't.

canon. atr.eus is a god. he has superior strength, stamina, and speed. he is immortal, but can, of course, be killed. he can withstand far more damage than a mortal.

headcanon: by adulthood, atr.eus is significantly faster than his father. on the contrary, he never quite reaches his father's strength, but he is still immensely more powerful than a mortal. as he is both a god and giant, he winds up being as tall as his father (aka. taller than an average mortal, but shorter than many of the Ae.sir gods + other giants).

canon: atr.eus is able to use magic. his arrows are enchanted with different types of magic. his tattoos + eyes light up the corresponding color when he uses them. he is also able to pull the soul from a living being and manipulate it, change its host, etc.

headcanon: atr.eus learns more and more Van.ir magic from Fr.eya over the years. he is able to perform different spells and gains a good grasp on healing with herbs.

canon: the game shows no (current) signs of tying in Lo.ki's potential connection to fire with atr.eus.

headcanon: at an indeterminate time (may happen within a thread, may happen outside of that), atre.us discovers his ability to create and/or control fire.

A few more notes:

Ate.us's post-game verse(s) all run on a few assumptions. These assumptions are: (1) the next Go.d of War game will feature Lo.ki as the protag, (2) Lo.ki will remain the new protag of the series, as Kra.tos has earned his happy ending, (3). Lo.ki is ultimately headed toward the home of the Cel.tic gods to find the giants, & (4) Lo.ki will continue to consider Midg.ard his true home, and consistently return to it.

☽⛥☾ this is an original character of my own creation that ive had for about a year now. he has mostly been on rp.me under an old name, nero. there are several different influences that played a part in his creation such as his band which is inspired by the hex girls from scooby doo. i in no way own any of them nor am i affiliated with bad omens or my characters faceclaim noah sebastian.
