Ketheric and Gortash must’ve had like such a fucked up Dynamic Kethric who abandoned 2 gods to revive his daughter vs daddy issues galoretash whose parents sold him off like cattle. Personally I think Gortash is super shitty about it dunking on kethric for his weaknesses while secretly being so jealous.

Add "golden child syndrome Durge" and "always seeking daddy's approval jealous Orin" to the mix, and you have made a very personal hell for Ketheric.

He is just a dad trying to get his daughter back, at any cost necessary. Even betraying gods and dooming entire cities that followed and revered him. No price is too big and no limit is too far when it comes to bringing his daughter back to life.

Gortash, who is seeing this and laughing his ass off at how stupid Ketheric is to do this for something so silly. Always making fun of him and teasing him for it. Secretly seething in jealousy and resentment at how much he wished he could've had this.

Durge, who is so used to being spoiled and praised, who gets away with everything and can do no wrong in Bhaal and sarevok's eyes. Assuming Ketheric will just do the same and let them walk all over him. Ketheric being forced to accommodate to durge's spoiled and needy nature if he wants this alliance to work.

Orin, who truly loved Durge but the need to prove herself as the superior sibling, grows every day, jealousy and envy burning through her viens each time Sarevok mentions Durge in front of her. Who starts hating Ketheric just as much for indulging Durge and not putting them in their place.

Of course god Durge can make Astarion their chosen, extend his life beyond immortality if they wished to. Afterall a god of life, even a lesser or demi-god, would be widely popular when each creature breathes with life.

An ascended Astarion might be more of a problem, his soul is truly gone beyond repair. Not a single trace left just a hollow trophy of his past self, of what he can never be again.

You're not the god of death. What right do you have to bring him back if Withers says no? Would Astarion even want to be brought back? Or would he be blinded of all the power he suddenly gained, think he can also use you, a whole god.

I always thought that there wasn't much difference between gods and undead really, both lack souls, both can never love like mortals do, both are not included within the cycle of life.

Even the god of life may not join the living, much like the undead. At least you and Astarion would still have that in common.

as the full moon nears, durge walks up to were!shart and enjoys the sight of seeing her slowly succumbing to the effects of the full moon.

I don't think they'd need to brainwash her, really. I mean, just nudge towards the "Actually, both Seluna and Shar suck, have you ever heard of Bhaal?" And you've got yourself a Bhaal cleric for life.

If she is in love with Durge, and they're the chosen of Bhaal and fully embrace it, then I could see her turning to Bhaal too for faith and accepting him.

Wereshart would be the perfect weapon for murder, and the perfect "mate" for Durge to have even more bloodthristy children with. Bhaal is going to be at the front seat of their gorey themed wedding.

Didn't Durge already raise those heyna monster thingies in moonrise towers? And they weren't even brainwashed they just genuinely loved and respected Durge. Even Durge loved them for how bloodthirsty they are.
