He had lost count of the many times he had attempted to correct her whenever she called him a 'real vampire.'

'No. I'm not a vampire. I'm a dhampir.' He'd reply every single time, accompanied by a roll of his eyes, but Henrietta was a stubborn one. Admittedly, that was part of why Rowan had grown to be fond of her so much. She had her ways of thinking, and she stuck to it. It was cute, adorable even. Not to mention, she really was a beautiful woman. She never seemed to think that about herself, from what he gathered, sadly. He disagreed with the sentiment.

Perhaps that was why it felt so right just now to go through with it. He'd be lying if he wasn't nervous. Rowan's heart reminding him of its existence by pounding away in his chest was evidence of that. But he wasn't going to doubt his thoughts about her. He really did want her. It may have only been a simple kiss, but it was their first one.

When their lips parted, he paused to gaze at her face, committing the image of her getting flustered and blushing to memory. When Henrietta spoke, Rowan couldn't help but chuckle.

"That was our first kiss, and you decide to call me a bastard?"

Rowan made the mistake of allowing Nik to style his hair if he lost a bet

“Who said I was offering anything of the sort? Pray tell, what makes you wish to do so?” Rowan was still under the impression that vampires found beings like him ‘disgusting’. He couldn’t help but be curious, is all.

“Wow…” He couldn’t stop gazing at it. The mansion was beautiful, overwhelming even just by its sheer size. It was intimidating to look at, so the teen swept the hair away from his eyes to instead look at the woman who brought him here. “It’s…”

“Beautiful?” She chuckled, nodding her head knowingly. “You’ll be well taken care of here, I can promise you that.”

Siouxsie remembered when she had first found this young man who called himself Rowan standing her before her. He was tall, skinny, and had a desperate look on his face when he had been attempting to figure out a place to run away to, far away from anywhere that wasn’t where he supposedly lived. That alone was enough for this woman, who was a recruiter of sorts. All the better once she had realized something special about Rowan. He didn’t talk much, but the fangs were noticeable enough when he had angrily proclaimed that he was willing to do just about anything to find somewhere safe to live.

Lord Dio… He’d be very pleased indeed. Perhaps, he’d bless her with a reward of sorts, for what she had accomplished. The thought alone made her shiver in anticipation.

Rowan shifted, grumbling softly to himself as he looked down at his clothes. He didn’t fit in here in this hot Egyptian weather, wearing the clothes he had packed with him when he had ran away. It was all just black band t-shirts and sweatpants. Now he was nervous, especially after seeing just how grand this home was that belonged to the powerful vampire she had referred to as ‘Lord Dio.’ He’d make a terrible first impression with sickly skinny appearance and fashion sense and be shooed away. Then again, the woman who called herself Siouxsie here herself wasn’t in the most fancy of clothing, wearing bright neon green fishnets and platform boots, heavy makeup including bright red blush and bright eyeshadow adorning her face.

“Well?” She had spoken, breaking his train of thought, leading him towards the entrance. “You’re following me inside, are you not?”

“Oh…” Rowan scratched at the black hair on his scalp, nodding as he picked up his stride and followed in after her. “Forgive me— I am.”

“Don’t worry,” Siouxsie assured him again. Goodness, why was he being cautious now? “He’ll be pleased to meet you.”

Someday I’ll finish this apostle!Rowan drawing. Some… Day…. Apostle!Rowan would be the type of apostle that does his own thing, but still will follow orders if summoned. He’d be dignified and dress grandly, but also would be the one that would let kids ride on his back while he gallops around forests. He’s the demon version of the cool but scary uncle.

By the way, the crazy antlers are inspired by what will happen to real deer’s antlers if they get injured. They’ll grow back in crazy ways. 😳
