Jin-Woo let out a deep sigh and chuckled slightly as she said that. Of course, his answer was already a given. He would never wish to be with anyone else but her.

"I could never wish for someone else, my light. This life, the next, my life after that... All my lives, I would always choose you..." He said truthfully and with a smile, as he squeezed her body closer to him.

“You promise?” The young woman asked in a soft and ethereal voice, almost like a echo from the past while the warmth next to him disappeared slowly, her voice fading away and reminds him that she’s not longer by his side but in the room he keeps sealed while she’s in a deep slumber unable to wake up.

Jinwoo blinked suddenly as he heard her question, and he suddenly realized that the warmth next to him that was once her body was gone. His arms moved to grab nothing but the empty air, but reality came crashing down and made him remember that she was currently in a deep slumber, unable to wake up.

Jinwoo let out another deep sigh and stared at the sealed room which housed her sleeping body, his expression turning solemn as her condition keeps deteriorating.

"... I promise, my love.." He said, his voice quiet and solemn. His hand touching the seal of the door.

He wasn't going to give up on searching for a way for her to wake up.

Day after day a new fragment of her soul seems to leave her body and weakens her more and more. To this day he haven’t found a way to stop it either, which prompted him to resort to sealing her inside a room and guarded by his most trusted shadows.

His heart beat violently against his chest and his eyes stung with the desire to release those treacherous tears. How painful and bitter was that lump in his throat that made him clench his jaw, and the superhuman strength he exerted on the doorknob as he fight with himself to not collapse before opening it.
