No explanation of why they just up and left. The absence of any explanation or farewell left a lingering sense of abandonment and confusion, with no closure even as they grew older. — Growing up in a quaint London flat, Wes found solace in Evelyn's nightly stories, which not only sparked his lifelong love for literature but also served as a balm for the parental love they lacked.
