Darren Criss and Helen J. Shen will lead new broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending this fall | Direction by Michael Arden | Opening Night on October 17 at the Belasco Theatre
Velvette had to have her connections with the human world. After all, how else would she know the latest trends and be able to replicate them as perfectly as she does? Sure, she was something of a trendsetter, even in her own right, but it never hurt to have some inspiration, either. As such, she kept in touch with the new things in the human world, whether that be with the catalogs, the music industry, and the like. And when she'd heard of the new up-and-coming boy band, she was skeptical, of course. She'd always found boy bands particularly annoying, finding men in general to often gross her out with their immature antics. Then again, she lived with Valentino and Vox, so perhaps that was to be expected.
After paying an obscene amount for tickets she was certain she wouldn't even enjoy the show for, she took a seat in the audience and scrolled on her phone, loading up her filter app and pointing it at the stage so she could post her ratings all over as she recorded the video to allow her followers to know exactly how she felt about this. Not that she wasn't already very expressive, anyway. No, most people wished she would stop being expressive, in fact, not that she'd be more expressive.
Oh well, Velvette thought. Life wasn't fair, and that wasn't her problem. She crossed one leg over the other, adjusting her styled braid crown with a half-annoyed and half-bored expression on her face. On the one hand, she really didn't want to be here, but on the other hand... this shit was considered trendy? What a waste. There could have been so many better things considered popular, and this is what the people picked? Pathetic, in her obviously correct opinion.
Darren Criss | On to the next. Taking a dive into the future with MAYBE HAPPY ENDING, a new musical coming to Broadway this fall, by way of my ol’ pal Michael Arden.
