Japanese (online) Slang pt. 1

So beforehand, I found those on Twitter. Therefore don't know which ones are used in spoken language too. But if I had to guess then everything from FF外から失礼します on might be used in daily conversation too.

もちつけ - calm down a little. It became after popular in the 2000s after someone mistyped もう少し落ち着け (もうすこしおちつで）in a hurry. It's only used on the internet to tell others to calm down a bit.

NG（エヌジー）- 1) blooper, outtake (NG集 is a collection of bloopers) 2) can't do, taboo (eg. 日本で箸（はし）をご飯（はん）にさすのはNGです。

鯖 (さば）- (internet, discord, etc.) server. Only used on the internet.

FF外から失礼します。（FFがいからしつれいします）- I am not your follower/We are not following each other but allow me to say ~. I think it's obvious that this is just used online. Just a piece of Twitter etiquette

キャパイ - This is way too much. I can’t take this anymore. From キャパオーバー = over capacity

ガチる - to do your best

過去一 （かこいち）- the best ~ ever eg. 過去一美味しいラーメン. From 過去一番（かこいちばん）

セトリ - setlist eg. for a concert

ぶっちゃけ - to be honest...

パ完成（パかんせい）- short form of パティー完成. Gaming term to say that your team is complete

推し（おし）- bias (eg. 僕の推しのキャラクターはナナミ！）

イカれる - to be crazy, to be nuts

コメ欄（コメらん）- comment section

スジモノ - term for yakuza

カタギ - former yakuza who got a decent job

バレる - to leak out (a secret), to be exposed (a lie, improper behaviour, etc.)

スルーする - ignoring, looking the other way
