내가 사랑하는 사람들이 가득한 청주에 다녀왔다.

고등학교 2학년이던 채송이는 어느새 20살 성인이 되었고, 은기오빠는 파라다이스를 인수했고, 영우오빠는 야차 카페를 오픈하셨다. 멋있는 사람들!

채송과 야차에 가서 오빠의 커피를 마시고 너무 맛있어서 두번이나 주문을 하였다. 늘 무언가에 새롭게 도전하고 도전을 무서워하지 않는 오빠의 모습이 존경스럽기만 하고 배우고 싶다. 내가 야차에 있다는 소식을 들은 은기오빠가 야차로 달려왔다. 생일 선물이라며 툭 건넨 편지를 장소를 옮기고난 후 열었을땐 놀랐다.. 생각치 못한 것이 들어있었기 때문이다. 그리고 소중했단 한 마디 '내 애정이' 사실 오빠들의 첫 인상은 너무 무서웠다. 그치만 누구보다 따뜻하고 심도 깊은 사람이란걸 알게되었을땐 오빠들을 존경하고 사랑하는 마음이 커졌다.

사랑하는 이들의 멋진 앞날을 보았을때 얼마나 존경스럽고 뿌듯한지 몸소 느꼈다. 오랜만에 보니 더욱 말라진 은기 오빠의 모습에 마음이 썩 좋지만은 않았지만, 차가우면서도 따뜻한 오빠의 마음은 느낄 수 있었다.

채송은 두둑히 선물을 가져와 건넸다. 아기 채송은 벌써 사랑꾼이 되었고 성숙해졌다. 2년전 채송과 술을 먹자고 한 약속은 지켜졌고, 같은 과에 진학한 채송과의 대화는 즐거웠다.

내가 청주를 사랑하게 된 이유는 이들덕에 있는 것 같다.

늘 챙겨주고 사랑해줘서 고마운 이들.
