최근에 한국은 여러가지 문제적 상황에 놓여있지만 특히 언론에 대해 보수, 진보 그리고 중도 모두 불만족도가 매우 높은 상황이다. 각자에게 이익이 되지 않는 상대에게 모두 ‘가짜뉴스’라고 비난을 퍼부우며 자신의 입장만을 고집하는 형국에서 누군가가 말했듯, 지금의 한국문화는 ‘경박단소’ 다시말해 가볍고, 얇고, 짧고, 작음의 정보들이 지배한다. 공중파 채널로 부터 전통신문을 일컫는 레거시 미디어 그리고 인터넷 신문과 1인 미디어에 이르기까지 언론과 정보의 춘추전국시대라 말할 수 있다. 오랜 시간에 걸쳐 오피니언 리더 역할을 했던 레거시 미디어들은 뉴스를 선택해 내는 저널리즘의 측면에서 상대적 신뢰성과 안정성을 주장하며 언론 고유의 역할을 강조한다. 이에 반해 뉴미디어들은 텔레비전을 틀면 3개 채널만 있던…

Hi, I'm recently learning Korean and I came across your blog. I heard somebody saying 태정태세문단세 and I don't know what it means, I think it's sort of the king's name. Could you please tell me what it means?

Hello! If I understand correctly, 태정태세문단세 is an acronym of the first seven kings of Korea's names. According to this website, these are each of the king's names and some of the things they are known for (really hope I'm interpreting this right considering I don't know much about Korean history!):

태조 : 조선 개국, 1차 왕자의 난, 정도전 = Founded the Joseon dynasty, first prince's rebellion, Jeong Dojeon (early Joseon scholar)

정종 : 2차 왕자의 난 = Second prince's rebellion

태종: 호패법 실시, 왕권 강화 = Implementation of identification tag law (read about that here!), reinforcement of regal power

세종: 한글 창제, 훈민정음 반포, 황희, 장영실 = Invention of Hangul, proclamation of Korean script, Hwang Hui (a politician), Jang Yeong-sil (a scientist and inventor)

문종 (website doesn't say anything about him)

단종: 계유정난, 김종서 = coup d'etat where Prince Suyang dethroned Kim Jong-seo and took over the government

세조: 사육신, 직전법 실시, 한명회 = Six martyred ministeres (read about them here!), implementation of land system law, Han Myeong-hoe (politician and soldier)

La llarga ombra de la pedagogia de la Bauhaus es va estendre ràpidament a un bon nombre d'escoles d'art i disseny a Amèrica del Nord i alguns països com Alemanya, Itàlia o Suïssa. Una va ser l' Escola d'Arts Aplicades de Basilea de Suïssa, un centre de referència a començaments dels anys 60 i gran part dels 70 del segle passat, l'enfocament metodològic del qual aborda l'ensenyament artístic des de diferents aspectes orientats al disseny com el dibuix natural, perspectiva, tipografia, estudi de materials, disseny tèxtil, color o exercicis bi i tridimensionals d'experimentació espacial. De les seves aules n'han sortit els dissenys d'algunes conegudes fonts tipogràfiques (l' helvètica per exemple) i molts exemples del disseny suís funcional. Als seus cursos es pretenia construir una base sòlida per al desenvolupament professional posterior del seu alumnat per mitjà de l'exercici metòdic i constant, sensibilitzant la visió i buscant l'enriquiment del sentit de la forma, el ritme o l'abstracció.

L´Editorial GG Disseny , especialitzada en el món de les arts visuals, el disseny i l'arquitectura, té publicat un Curs Bàsic de l'Escola d'Arts Aplicades de Basilea -els 4 volums dels quals s��n un resum dels continguts i pràctiques del curs preparatori que s'oferia als estudiants per a l'accés a aquests ensenyaments- que et pot donar una idea força aproximada de les pràctiques i les bases metodològiques sobre les quals es fonamentaven els cursos de l'Escola d'Arts Aplicades de Basilea.

ハン(한:大きな)+グル(글:文字)で「大いなる文字」の意。公布当初は訓民正音(훈민정음)と呼ばれ、朝鮮民主主義人民共和国(北朝鮮)では朝鮮文字(조선글자)と呼ばれる。ハングルは李氏朝鮮時代の第四代国王世宗はの命令により、1443年に「集賢殿」という研究機関の学者たちによって作られた。

So, let's start learning about the alphabet called as Hangul (한굴). The Hangul was created during Sejong's dynasty, the fourth king from Joseon's dynasty, in 1443. The King Sejong, The Great (세종대왕), decided to create this alphabet, because the previous alphabet was the Hanja, with Chinese characters were difficult to learn and only privileged people could learn how to read and write. With this in mind, he reunited all students at that time. The final first version from Hangul was called as "Hunminjeongeum" (훈민정음), in 1446, that means "Proper Sounds to Instruct the People". The Hangul wasn't used by scholars or Koreans of the upper classes until after 1945. The Hangul consists in 10 basic vowels (모음), 11 double vowels (모음), 14 basic consonants (자음) and 5 double consonants (자음). How pronounce the letters? Miss Vicky here will help you.
