✧ syn : in which, your boyfriend jake calls you late at night, but you don’t answer. he then jumps to multiple conclusions.

on your line though, a last minute notice about the power outage shutting down for a while as they try to figure the problems about the electricity that were issued by many residents.

you panicked as you checked your battery percentage on your phone going lower, it was supposedly the time to be calling jake and telling him about your day and random miscellaneous events.

as soon as jake finished showering and drying his hair to avoid making puddles on the floor, he immediately jumped on his bed and scrolled through his contacts to find yours, clicking the call button.

now it’s unusual for him that you’re not picking his call up right away. he thinks that maybe you’re just dealing with something right now, so he waited patiently for your reply.

but it’s already been 10 minutes since he started calling. jake starts to fidget with his phone, spinning it around as he continues to wait for your callback. his patience was worning out each passing minute.

‘what if she’s not home yet?’

‘what if she’s calling someone else?’

‘what if she got into an accident?’

“nooo, jake don’t think that. get yourself together.” he finished, his eyes glowering at his phone. before he could make a decision to find out what you were up to, another what if statement appeared in his mind.

‘what if she’s ignoring me, playing games without me, watching or listening to music without me?’

by now, he didn’t know why he was suddenly outside of his apartment building and heading towards yours which was only a few blocks away. his walk wasn’t exactly normal, he was practically stomping slightly.

it’s rare to spot a sulky sim jaeyun.

your house was dark, all of the lights were off so what kept you from being able to see a bit was your lit candle that you were able to find. leading your phone to finally die because of using the flashlight feature for too long.

you were constantly cautious for anything that might happen without you knowing. whilst you were wearing a cardigan, there was little to no warmth you could feel, the goosebumps crawling on your skin quickly.

an abrupt knock interrupted your tense figure from negative thoughts coming into your mind. not just a knock, multiple knocks in a pattern to which you recognized as your boyfriend.

you ran to your front door, the prettiest man standing right infront of you. “jake? what the hell are you doing here?” you opened the door wide enough for him to come inside.

“a power outage?” he ignored your question, as he looked around your apartment, being only lit by a single candle.

“so you weren’t doing anything without me?” he added.

“sim jaeyun.” you snapped, wanting an explanation from his unexpected visit.

“sorry, love. i just thought something happened, so i got worried and.. yeah.” he confessed with a hint of guilt.

you reluctantly nodded at him but asked again, “and?” he tilted his head low, mumbling things that you could not hear.

as much as you wanted him to speak louder, you decide not to request him to repeat what he said. instead you took a step closer towards him, closing the gap between the two of you.

“you can do better than that.” you commented on the volume of his voice which was quieter than his usual normal tone.

taking a deep breath, “i was looking forward to our call the whole day, it was all i could think about. and then you didn’t answer right away like you usually do, so even if a few minutes have passed, i was already getting impatient—“

he blabbered on until he was cut off by a pair of lips over his for a second. he blinked once, twice, and thrice. you let out a chuckle when you saw his face being shock over a single peck on the lips.

though that didn’t last long, jake made sure that you would be the one who was shocked now. “are you calling that a kiss?” there’s your boyfriend back into his senses.

the apartment was dimmed, but the two were igniting their own lights in the room, beating the small candle that was put on the kitchen counter.

today was a club day, meaning there is no one running, distinct chatters from students, pulling pranks on one another in the hallway. it was quiet and empty.

everyone is expected to be in their respective club venues, working on projects or practicing for an upcoming competition.

though by the time the bell rang, giving a few seconds to spare before each door of the classrooms burst open with students having their backpacks slung on their shoulder, running out.

it felt like rush hour in the hallways. it was quite the struggle for some people to wait for their friends outside of their venue due to the pushing crowd in front of them.

at least you and your friends avoided the crowd of students, blocking the way.

“guess who was leading our dance practice today..” your friend spoke in a disappointed tone, both of her hands covering her face.

you eagerly shift your attention right away. “the most nonchalant guy i’ve ever met! i was dying of boredom just from his voice.” your friend started to ramble.

“riki?” you mention casually, tucking your hands inside the two empty pockets on your cardigan.

“you sound like you know him, do you?” she asked, a glint of curiosity behind her eyes.

“he’s just a classmate.” well you had to lie for yours and riki’s sake since the two of you decided to keep this relationship private to everyone.

speaking of your boyfriend, you have a scheduled indoor date at his apartment.

less than ten steps away from you was riki’s door to his apartment. you knocked once and was about to tap the grayish steel door until someone pulled you inside.

you were greeted with your very tall boyfriend giving you a warm embrace by wrapping his arms around your figure.

your face was buried in his plain and knitted sweater vest yet somewhat cozy. “i bought new games for our nintendo switch.” he tilted his head down to look at you, his eyes glimmering with excitement.

when you were still getting to know riki, he’d always pull out his switch out of the blue and play games freely.

however, by the time you started dating him, he constantly referred his switch as yours and his to share and have date nights at his apartment space.

“comfy?” riki whispered, his hot breath fanning over the side of your neck as he snuggled closer to you.

“mhm, let’s play!” you exclaimed, pressing one of the buttons on your controller to start. “aren’t you forgetting something?” riki spoke quietly.

“after this round, okay? my lips are too cold right now, i’ll warm them up first.” even if the heater was on, it was still freezing cold so you slump under the blankets more.

hearing no response from riki, you took that a yes from him and adjusted the game settings on the screen.

“how many minut—“ you were about to ask him but you were cut off by two pecks on the lips. both of them were so quick for you to process it in your head.

he then blew the top of your lips to hide the huge grin on his face in which he failed to supress his small giggles coming from his lips.

“is it warm enough yet?” riki teased.

“i have a good feeling that i’ll win this race tonight. thank you very much for giving your luck to me.” you returned with a smile on your face, indicating a bit of sarcasm.

“nevermind, take back my kiss right now.” he leaned closer, a push from the back would be enough to close the gap between the two.

“nuh-uh! this is a priced fortune coming from you.” your hands went in the middle of both of your faces, protecting your lips from his.

from supposedly having a game night to having an intense tickle fight.

“fifty…sixty—” he mutters before speaking up, locking eyes with the crowd once more. “you know if you really want that good shit you’re gonna have to cough up a little more than that. i don’t think you’re gettin’ it, this is the best fuckin’ yayo around — like, you’re not gonna find better in this part of the island. trust that.” he talks it up, doing his thing as the party goers start to dig into their wallets, your boyfriends charismatic ways having sold them.

you wiggle on his thigh, pressing your covered cunt harder into the crevice and letting out a soft needy groan against his skin, hands running down his chest. rafe’s eyes flicker down to you once he was sure he’d made the sale, gently adjusting you on his lap. “don’t care ‘bout an audience, do you bun? jesus.” he mutters the offhand comment, patting your ass before continuing.

kelce snickers, nudging toppers arm as the two shake their head in disbelief at your antics. “i need to get me one of those freaks.” kelce decides, making rafes head perk up, turning towards his friend as he leans across slightly, taking money from one of the other party goers wanting to chip in.
