It follows Lyvia—a composed, distant high school student—who unknowingly becomes the obsession of Seth, a deceptively charming and disturbed classmate. Their meeting is anything but normal. They are introduced to each other through a school shooting, where Seth, one of the perpetrators, sees Lyvia standing in the hallway, frozen with fear as she stares straight ahead at Seth's friend, the other shooter. Seth throws himself on top of her in an attempt to protect her, and this single action leads to a series of murders at their school.

Following the shooting, Lyvia struggles to maintain a sense of normalcy—her relationship with her friends become strained, her performance in school decreases, and her mental state deteriorates—while Seth slowly integrates himself into her life, offering support and comfort. Lyvia begins to rely on this, seeking stability in his kindness.

As they get closer, serial murders begin to start up at their school. Initially, they seem disconnected, random—a crime committed for nothing other than sheer thrill. But in actuality, Seth, with the help of his friend from earlier, is the ones instigating all of the murders, as a twisted act of affection. Driven by his obsession with protecting and possessing Lyvia, he's taken it upon himself to eliminate who makes Lyvia unhappy in some way, regardless of who they are. Unaware of this, she tries to investigate the murders on her own, with Seth's help, against all word of caution from her friends and her sister.

It isn't until Seth crosses a line in his murders, killing Lyvia's best friend, that Lyvia begins to spiral, throwing herself into solving the mystery in search of answers. Meanwhile, Seth's carefully crafted exterior slowly slips away—his behavior becomes more erratic and possessive, his alibis become inconsistent, and the evidence against him becomes substantial.

Eventually, Lyvia confronts Seth, who calmly admits to his crimes, explaining that it was done out of love for her. Lyvia is both afraid yet touched as Seth reassures her, framing his actions as the ultimate, purest form of devotion, leaving Lyvia with one decision: whether to turn him in, or live with his secret.

hi, my name is alex, but you can also call me sketch (i really don't mind which). i've been writing and drawing ever since i was little, but i never found anyone to share with growing up, so i decided to start a tumblr account where i can post prompts and info about my wips.

i tend to dabble in whatever genres interest me at the moment, which could range from historical to noir mystery, but i typically write sci-fi and fantasy with a hint a romance.

my current wips are 2083: Retribution and Lovers to Strangers. 2083 is a sci-fi dystopia with a romance side-plot and Lovers to Strangers is just a slice of life.

my attention is worse than that of a child, so it's really hard for me to focus on anything for more than 30 minutes at a time. i also lose interest in things faster than the flash can run, so whatever interests me today might not tmrw. all this is to say that my blog will probably change pretty frequently.

i'm usually a chill person, and i'm always up for conversations, asks or tag games if you ever wanna talk or interested in getting to know me and my writing more. im also a rlly awkward person, but right now i'm trying to make the effort to find new mutuals and interact more with the ones i have already. if you could recommend some other writeblrs i would rlly appreciate it :)))

i haven’t written in a cool minute, and lately i’ve just been going through my drafts for inspiration, and i found this story that’s a psychological thriller, with elements of romance and mystery, which lowkey sparked my inspiration. i’m debating whether i should start it—if i do, i probably won’t finish and if i do finish, it’ll be short. i might start posting snippets and intros and stuff for this project while holding back on my other wips too so like…if anyone cares or is interested, tell me? i want to see if there’s enough intrigue for me to commit to it 😭

1. What motivates you to write?

all of my lovely mutuals and anyone who has reached out asking for more information about my works are what motivate me everyday to keep writing. just knowing that someone is interested in what i write is enough to keep me going.

2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them).

i might post the rest of this ltr if i feel like it, but for now here’s a lil snippet from 2083:

Genji was sincere in everything he said, his devotion coming from the depths of his soul. He longed to give Akira everything his heart desired, even if it meant giving up all that he worked for. He yearned to provide Akira with a life worth living, a life filled with joy and free from the pains and pressures of the outside world—a life where Akira could truly find happiness.

3. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

i’m not too good at writing dialogue, but something that i’ve always thought i was best at is writing scene descriptions—i feel as though with a paragraph or two, i can easily set the mood for the rest of the chapter.

4. What do you enjoy most about the Writeblr community?

i love how sweet and kind everyone in the writeblr community is. when i first started posting about my wips, i remember thinking that no one was going to care, but when people started reaching out, asking questions about my writing and showing interest, i felt a lot more confident in sharing my works. so ty to my moots and everyone else who’s part of the writeblr community:)

5. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech-to-text, a writing program etc)

some sites i use to help me write are notion and reedsy. they help me organize my ideas so i don’t spend hours getting lost in my thoughts about how a particular chapter or storyline is supposed to progress.

6. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc).

i really like the class divisions of 2083, especially since it helps build a contrast between Akira’s and Genji’s characters and early in the story.

7. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?

at this point in time, i might be the worst person to ask this question since i’ve just been thugging it out for the past month or so, but i think talking to other people, especially another writer, is a good way to get through a rough patch, since they can provide you with words of encouragement or advice for how to progress with your story. or, if you don’t feel like talking to another person, try talking aloud to yourself—that usually helps me catch mistakes and inconsistencies in my storyline or helps me come up with ideas.

The salt-laden breeze whipped through my hair as I stared at the foreboding darkness of the sea, its reckless churning not unlike the state of my mind, tumultuous waves mirroring the storm of my thoughts. As anticipation and anxiety swirled within me, turbulent emotions slowly consumed me, I couldn’t help but think of Elias.

Had time etched lines upon his features, growing his face rugged with age? Was his smile still as charming as I recalled it was years before? Would his eyes grow wide with recognition at the sight of me or would he struggle to recollect my appearance? Would he still love me as fiercely as he did in my memory, or had his heart forgotten our time together? Or perhaps, he had found another lover in my absence. The painful possibility of him finding solace in the arms of another clawed at my heart—I could envision Elias, his radiant smile and beautiful soul, shared intimately with someone else. The image filled me with unwarranted jealousy. I knew it was selfish of me to desire his devotion even after all these years, to still wish he was mine and mine only, yet a part of me stubbornly clung to the hope that my presence still held sway over his heart.

when i first came up with the plans for the taste of vengeance, i was really inspired by interview with a vampire (literally one of my favorite books lmaoo)

basically i wanted to have a few chapters of vladimir explaining everything that happened leading up to the destruction of brașov

but now i’m wondering if i should go through with it bc it feels kinda lazy?? if that makes sense??
