Tumblr media Tumblr media
gladiator!toji was a fearsome sight to behold.
with marbled skin rippling like a river of bronze, a tattered canvas of tan and pink scars. he was violence and glory, a conqueror born from the very sand and blood of the arenas he fought in. a natural-born killer, toji craved the delicious rush that came with a fight to the death.
and yet, he was that and more.
she thought about that as the heavy iron gates rolled up for his grand entrance into the arena. about how toji fushiguro loved, and loved hard. how every night, with hushed whispers and swallowed moans, he would deeply push into her as if trying to slot his very soul next to hers. where it was safe, and he was safe, because they might not have the next night.
within a sea of people, their bloodlust traveling in waves, she never felt more alone. she bit her lips, digging bloody crescent moons into her palms, and felt her breath hitch as toji’s looming figure emerged from the shadows. the crowd roared and screamed at him, calling upon the gods for their favorite gladiator to give them a worthy show.
to them, that’s all toji was: a killer made only of flesh and bone, ready to die for them.
toji stopped in the dead center of the arena, his sword arm raised high in the air as he swept his green eyes in a full circle around the crowd, who went into a frenzy.
but he wasn’t doing it for them.
he knew she was there, watching him, waiting for him to perhaps catch a glimpse of her, praying beyond all hope that the gods would continue to spare her love from harm. that they would meet again that night in the dim light of his cell, their bare skin pressed tightly together, talking of whimsical daydreams and futures. toji would tell her how he fought for her, and how he would earn his freedom so they could be together.
how they’d live somewhere by the sea, with only the sounds of the waves and their lovemaking to be heard for miles. how they would watch the sunset every day and live off the bounty of the ocean, where they would only chase their pleasure and cultivate their own peace.
but for now, toji bared his teeth, his stance unwavering, as he prepared to face whatever they threw at him and win.

mdni, mild smut!
gladiator!toji did not know where he was.
he had been trapped someplace the gods had forsaken, somewhere his merciless master – ryomen sukuna – had sent him as punishment. all he knew was that the desert heat here was sweltering, searing his mind in lies, and making him dream of things that had already happened long ago.
dreams that he wanted to stay in.
the sweet perfume of her scent trickled through his nose, a mixture of roses and jasmine, half waking him from the haze he had been in. it would have been torturous, were she not here with him now, roped between his bronze arms like she had melded into him. little rivulets of her spent wetness trickled down the curve of his thigh, a reminder of what they had done in the night, and toji’s cock twitched beneath the worn sheets.
she stirred in her sleep, as if touched by the burning fire in his blood.
gods.
describing her as just beautiful was not nearly enough.
toji kissed her hairline, one calloused hand tenderly rubbing her forearm to slowly rouse her from the depths of sleep.
she was the morning dewdrops clinging to the curved underside of a blade of grass, glistening with all the hopes that came with every new day. he loved the smell of it when he woke every morning, rubbed his skin with it, tasted its crisp freshness on his tongue to awake the thundering resonance in his battered soul.
he placed a trail of wet kisses down the side of her face, sweeping her jawline and the edge of her lips.
she was the soothing touch of rose petals and milk, the hummingbirds that flew between the blooms of spring. the very stars and moonlight of the heavens was in her eyes, but he had not known how to read the constellations hidden within them.
toji turned her slowly, hungrily pressing his hips into the plush curve of her behind, letting his desire be plainly known.
she smiled, honey dripping from between her lips as she whispered, “insatiable.”
toji moaned into her mouth, his heavy cock slipping in between her puffy lips. “let me have you.”
but he knew now how to read the skies.
her stars taught him to fear, and that love was fear.
she turned to him, swinging her legs over his midriff, sensually kissing his chest as rain fell to bloom an oasis in the desert. her back arched just as the light of daybreak shone through the bars of the cell, bathing her in gold and sunlight.
…daybreak?
her eyes sparked and blazed into a maroon firestorm, burning him in tempestuous uncertainty.
she never stayed so long with me.
“wake up, fushiguro,” she breathed shakily, a tone deeper, her hands gripping his shoulders and shaking him like palm trees quivering in a sandstorm.
wake up?
“fushiguro, for the love of all the gods, wake up!”
her hair shifted and warped into a snowy desert, sifting through his fingers like the passage of time in an hourglass. toji opened his eyes once more, emeralds tumbling down a mountainside, and blinked once, twice, three times more.
gladiator!tengen had a harsh grip on his shoulders, a red fury misting his eyes with determination.
“come now, i’m here to take you home.”

based on this request <3 t.w: body insecurities.
satoru gojo was never supposed to be normal.
he wasn’t cut out for it – it was never something he could actually have for himself. to be domestic? him? absolutely not. satoru didn’t understand it, maybe because he thought he didn’t deserve it in the first place.
but that all changed after he met her.
she’d given him so much, helped mould his clay into a shape that was solid. something homely, warm, meaningful. things satoru never thought he could be. she had so freely given him a wonderful and precious life, full of her honeyed love, which he wanted to dip his fingers in all the time, just to cherish its sweet taste.
and when his wife gave him the most incredible gift she could ever possibly give him – using her own body to grow the most precious little life within her – satoru made himself a promise.
he would always strive to make her feel the love she had always given him.
so satoru would swoop in to the rescue at any given moment, whenever he noticed even the slightest hint of a frown on her face. he’d hold her in his arms, pressing delicate kisses all over her body, and would remind her that her body was his home. that while a home can sometimes change, it was no less treasured – because she was still the most beautiful woman in the world. that the sun, moon, and stars were jealous of her, because he never once batted an eye at them; he was always too busy staring at her instead.
if he saw her slipping and falling down the hole of self-depreciation, satoru would be there to haul her back out. he’d pout playfully, telling her that she was his very heart, and that she had to stop hurting him – or else he’d start having chest pains.
“and i’m too young to be having heart problems!” satoru exclaimed, one hand on his hip while the other cradled his babbling son.
she lightly giggled at him, a thousand and one white feathers falling from the skies.
satoru would always be there, catching them all one by one.

poseidon!suguru was a breathtaking vision of the boundless beauty and splendor of the seas he ruled over.
she was staring at him now, beached upon the shoreline; leaning back lazily in the sun with his ink-black hair carelessly cascading down his bare back. his skin was beautifully bronzed, with water droplets tracing the chiseled ridges of his body as they dripped down onto the sand. his lower half was hidden beneath the teal waves, a strong mauve tail occasionally flicking above the surface.
the god was perfectly serene, like the soft lap of waves gently breaking against an anchored ship. how could this be the very same being whose wrath was known to mercilessly drown hundreds of sailors and ravage seaside towns?
with his eyes closed, he tilted his head in her direction, a long strand of wet hair brushing against the sand. “i sense you, mortal. do not be shy, you may approach me.”
she hesitated, then tepidly tiptoed towards the god of the seas. as she approached, he cracked open an eyelid, a lilac eye peeking out like a glimpse of a pearl in an oyster, taking her in. perhaps it was foolish to have been spying on him, but she couldn’t help it. it wasn’t often that he was known to reveal himself, being an elusive and slippery god at the best of times.
“what are you hiding behind your back there, sweet little thing?” he asked so very sweetly, as soft as sea foam, a beautiful, easy smile gracing his features.
with her lip bitten, and reconsidering all her life choices that led her to this very moment, she kneeled before him and presented her gift as an offering, holding it in outstretched palms. it was a necklace made of seaglass, a mosaic of blues and purples, with white shells dotted between them like gems.
he reached out to touch the necklace, humming happily, his still-wet fingers brushing hers, sending a sensation as if she were incredibly warm and then suddenly doused with a bucket of cold seawater. she was even more surprised when the god placed the necklace over his head and slid it onto his graceful neck.
“what a wonderful gift,” he complimented smoothly, his eyes of purple coral gazing at her with an almost detached sort of adoration. “and what, pray tell, would a loyal follower of the sea wish to ask of me?”
she gulped. “n-nothing at all. only the honor of being in your company, great ruler of the seas.”
the god’s eyes widened playfully, and the waves beat a touch faster against the shore as a mischievous glint sparked deep within his irises. the deep purple fins of his tail broke the surface of the sea as the whole appendage slowly rose out of the water, curling backwards towards his face, his toned abdomen flexing deliciously.
“you seem quite interesting,” he mused, the corner of his lip curling upwards, as the tip of his tail fin touched the edge of her mouth somewhat affectionately. “i think i will visit you more often.”
she didn’t know whether to be scared, exhilarated, or both.

based on this request for @ichore <3
satoru gojo was acutely attuned to the air of melancholy.
more specifically, when it was hers.
although he exuded flashiness and a sort of fashionable confidence, made from all shades of purples and reds, there was an underlying natural blue to tie it all together. above all, satoru understood that particular color and all of its woes. it haunted his eyes, slowly seeped through the fabric of all his clothes, and stained his nails with a cold bite of loneliness when everything became too much for him to bear.
and because he knew exactly how it weaved its toxic web of sadness, satoru knew exactly what he needed to do to stop it from getting any worse.
unfortunately, his love wasn’t so good at it.
it would start with a long, aching sort of sigh and a slow stretching of her limbs still heavy from sleep. she wouldn’t say a word, sitting at the edge of the bed like she’d lived through a thousand years and more. satoru quirked an eyebrow at her, reading glasses balanced on the tip of his nose, and winced as her bones snapped and crackled like the bent spine of his book.
“you alright there?” he broached, although he knew already that she wasn’t really.
of course he knew.
you see, there was that red ribbon tying them together in a pretty bow. satoru would always know.
she only hummed once, blinked twice, then sighed again before pulling herself out of bed and clicking the bathroom door shut on him and the whole world. satoru pinched the side of his glasses to take them off, tiredly rubbed some life back into his dry eyes, before purposely getting up with a single-minded mission on his mind.
make his love smile again.
to polish the sole ardor of his heart into a sparkling diamond, brighter than the sun, brighter than everything in the whole world.
but the sight of her all crumpled up on the cold tiles made his heart split and crack.
satoru cooed, “oh, my pretty girl. what’s happened to you?”
his knees creaked as he squatted down to her, and she sniffled, “i think i’m not doing so well.”
“no? my poor baby, but you need to tell me why.”
she stifled a sob, wiping a tear with the back of her hand. satoru instinctively sat down and curved his body over her like a gentle weeping willow. he hushed her softly, hoping it would be a soothing wind easing through the leaves of her mind.
and she did tell him, in a sopping mess of salt and crisscrossed lines of blue doubt. she told him how she felt lost, floating around in a giant hot air balloon that wasn’t going anywhere. how she didn’t understand why someone like him was with a silly girl like her. how it was so hard for her to just say how she was felt, because the words were just so heavy and difficult to even push past her lips.
“it’s not your fault, toru,” she said quietly, a shameful whisper. “but i just don’t understand how to tell you sometimes.”
“well… i think you did perfectly there, baby,” satoru smiled, his hand brushing featherlight touches on her forearm.
she perked up a little at that. “you think so?”
“i know so.”
the ghost of a puppy smile made her lip quirk upwards, and satoru affectionately tapped her nose. “let me run you a bath.”
she nodded wordlessly and let him guide her as always, allowing him to delicately peel her clothes from her skin. she melted into his hands as he lowered her into the gentle embrace of the pearly bubbles floating atop the warm water, letting him carefully wash away the blue melancholy of her soul.
the sheer amount of trust she had in satoru made him seriously swoon sometimes.
and while he may not always be able to scrub away all the stains of his own blues.
hers?
satoru would always wash out it all out.

gladiator!toji was never rattled by anything.
the sky could fall and crumble into ash and dust. towns and cities could be swept away by the wrath of the sea, and he would not bat an eye. the gods themselves could descend from the heavens above, demand his obeisance and loyalty, and still, he would not break or bow before them.
the only thing that mattered to him was his love, the woman who meant more to him than his own life.
he’d bled for her and killed in her name, breathed for her, and would die for her. everything that carved him into who he was belonged to her, to love her and only her.
however, gladiator!tengen was testing his limits.
the cocky, overly flashy gladiator was his ally now, fighting alongside him in the arena. whether they liked it or not, they were bound to each other by sand and blood. any poor souls set against them died screaming in a puddle of their own sweat and piss.
a midnight spear and two thundering blades.
the two favorite gladiators of rome.
tengen was wildly fearless, spitting in the face of death and mocking the harbringer for being too slow to catch him. he favored the attention above all else – the glory of battle – and didn’t seem to care for anything else at all.
except for what belonged to toji, it seemed.
toji knew tengen watched him, maroon eyes following his sweeping gaze over the raucous crowd and settle on his love. his innocent, precious, naive love who believed it was pure coincidence that tengen would always seem to wave in her direction, sending a grin and a careless wink her way.
tengen was with him now, leaning against the bars of his cell, his forearms flexing as he smirked at toji. “my hearing is excellent, you know?”
toji was in no mood for tengen’s quips. he was still coming down from the high of chasing his love and her pleasure. “and?” he grunted disinterestedly.
the gladiator’s white hair glistened in the moonlight that shone through the narrow slit in the stone, and tengen grinned. “so, i can hear every little noise she makes with you.”
a crack of a whip; toji’s fingers twitched dangerously.
“ah, she’s sounds so pretty. i’m jealous of you, fushiguro. you somehow get to sneak away and indulge yourself every night.”
thunder roared in toji’s ears, and he shot straight up to his feet his bed, his muscles itching for a fight.
“oh, don’t worry,” tengen continued, an irritating lilt in his voice. “i take pleasure in listening to you both, so i won’t tell a soul.”
toji’s eyes blazed with a green wildfire. “i’m going to kill you in your sleep.”
tengen laughed, a great, thunderous thing that seemed to shake the very stone of the colosseum. the gladiator was absolutely unperturbed by toji’s threat, as if it were no more than a speck of sand beneath his boots.
“ah, come now! you should be nicer to me,” he chided sarcastically. “especially now that i know your little secret.”
toji deadpanned, a knot of stone in stomach. “what do you want?”
tengen’s eyes flashed with restless rubies and something toji had somehow failed to notice until now. it was something he saw reflected in his love’s eyes every night when she cried his name. something he was made for, that tengen seemed to be made of too.
“it would be easier to keep your secret if it was mine too.”

priest!toji seemed like the sort of man who really shouldn’t be in the profession he had chosen for himself.
“b-bless me, father, for i…”
“go on, don’t be shy now.”
he had a dark eyebrow quirked at her; she could tell even through the partition between them, which didn’t do much to hide either of them. she could see his tousled raven hair, a hazy outline of his chiseled features, and his slightly worn-out black robes.
she cleared her throat, willing herself to keep it together. “for i have sinned, father. it has been seven days since my last confession.”
toji hummed lowly, thoughtfully. “i see. and what sort of atrocious sins have you committed to come and see me in the middle of the night?”
how could she answer that?
he couldn’t know he was the sole reason for her visit.
she just… had to see him, hear his voice, savor his breath on her tongue.
the rain thundered down harder outside the church, the wind battered against the stained glass windows with renewed vigor, and the candles flickered against the walls. still, she couldn’t utter a single word to him; her voice was caught somewhere between a lie and the truth.
toji cleared his throat, and she could hear the smirk in his voice as he rumbled, “you can always be honest with me.”
she knew that he knew why she was really here.
toji fushiguro was no fool of a priest.
he knew that more than half of his parish lusted after him, only pretending to earnestly repent their ways and be brought into the light of the church just to be closer to him. he knew they clung to his every word during his sermons, thirsty for more, and it was undeniably wrong how much he loved the power of it all.
but he didn’t care enough to blow out that fire.
he knew she wanted to walk straight through it towards him, to feel the heat of him on her skin and then drown herself in his holy water.
“well,” toji began, his face drawing nearer to the partition. her breath hitched as his forest-green eyes gleamed at her, and he smiled. “perhaps we can try to approach this differently.”
he was so alluring, dangerously persuasive without trying.
“w-what do you mean?” she stuttered, tightly crossing and rubbing her legs together.
“how about we chat face to face, hmm? that might make you feel a little bit better about… opening up.”
she couldn’t help but nod and obey him.

an italian summer with satoru gojo was opulent: sandalwood-scented breezes, delicate hints of lavender and lime, lemon trees bowing gracefully over narrow cobbled stairways, and chiffon curtains blowing over open bay windows. the very best suite that money could buy overlooked the sea, with a private infinity pool carved into the natural rock of the cliff, as if it was always meant to be there.
their deep wine glasses chimed as they clinked them together. satoru dripped with a rich saccharine ease as he pinched the stem of his glass, swirling the white wine as he sipped tentatively, tasting and savoring with practiced finesse.
she tilted her head, caressing the wine over the tip of her tongue before swallowing. satoru gazed at her with twinkling cerulean stars, waiting with bated breath. “do you like it, my love?” he hummed expectantly, adoringly. “think you could share a bottle with me?”
all of this was for her, you see. completely booking out a restaurant over a cliff on the amalfi coast, turquoise tyrrhenian sea crashing against the rocks just below them, sending a spray of salt and mysteries even this high up.
“yeah,” she replied, smiling softly, a breeze running through the pink silk ribbons in her hair, lips painted in a glossy blush.
satoru’s lip curled upwards as he turned to nod at the waiter, who poured them both a full glass and left the bottle chilling in a ice-cold silver bucket, condensation trailing down the outside onto the white tablecloth. he pulled her chair closer to his, and his aroma overwhelmed her in a woody citrus haze, touches of jasmine smoothing the edges of him into her like a melting ice cube.
“are you happy, my love?” he whispered, full of reverence and all things holy and tender, his plush lips tickling the lobe of her ear. “is this what you wanted?”
she giggled innocently, pearly teeth flashing in the afternoon sun-haze. “you didn’t have to do all this for me. i would have still been happy eating italian takeaway at home.”
satoru scoffed and waved his hand, his honey lips skimming over the soft curve of her neck. “absolutely not. only the best for my pretty girl.”
she surrendered to his touch, his teeth nibbling and teasing as she sighed in ecstasy. she wanted to stay here forever, trapped in a watercolor painting of this moment; strokes in hues of baby pinks and blues, with golden light kissing down the crinkles of his linen shirt.
“satoro,” she whined, setting down her wineglass before any of its precious contents spilled, as his frosty-white hair tickled her jawline. “someone’s going to see us.”
“then let them. let them see how much i love you in a place almost as beautiful as you. let them see and crave what we have.”
a kiss on her cupid’s bow.
“they can never have this.”
a kiss in the space between her brows.
“they can never have you.”
Tumblr media
@venusiansilk i hope you have even a just little smile on your face after this, and your dreams tonight are of italian summers with your love <3

i’d actively kill for more gladiator! tengen or toji or even both because i’m actually hooked … that was so good
oh my darling nonie!!! you only need to ask, and i will provide. i hope this real quick little piece is okay :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
gladiator!toji was completely uncontrollable.
he now fought with a violence nobody had never seen before – full of cunning, with malice and vengeance in every stroke. his strikes used to be effortless and precise; now they aimed to spill as much of his enemies’ blood as possible, and as messily as he could. his master was less than pleased, for the crowds of the colosseum were more horrified than entertained by toji’s antics.
he was making a spectacle, and not of the good sort.
“where is he?” she all but screamed into the night, bloody and raw crescent moons embedded in her palms. “you! where is he?”
gladiator!tengen sat at the edge of his bed, disturbed by her and her… flapping.
he groaned loudly, exasperation at the forefront of his tongue. “it’s late, woman. i want to sleep.”
“you know where he is, don’t you?” she screeched, her tears of fire burning down the curve of her cheeks. “tell me.”
she reached the bars of his cell, all but collapsing in a heap in front of him, gripping the metal like a vice. a broken bird, a mess of blood and bones, unable to ever fly free beyond the confines of her cage. she was as much a slave to the mass as he was. tengen swallowed thickly, his resolve unusually fragile, a thin eggshell decorated with cracked veins and scratches.
why was his heart aching?
he sighed heavily, long and full of pity. his thin sheet rustled as he stood, sweat glistening from his muscles thighs as he walked to her. she looked up at him, a baby doe in a heap of jumbled, useless limbs, powerless against the lion that had crouched in front of her.
she had never seen tengen this close before.
his hair was free, untamed, a rolling avalanche of snow. his features were carefully maintained, but that signature heart-stopping grin of his was gone, and his eyes were like the bottom of a red wine barrel. made of swirling hues of purple and scarlet; deep, bottomless and seemingly infinite. what lay hidden beneath the surface was unknown to everyone except himself.
she didn’t like it.
tengen suited unbridled joy better than melancholy.
“the master has sent him away,” he revealed quietly, grappling with an unfamiliar gentleness that threaten to overwhelm him. “but to where, i don’t know.”
her ensuing sob was a thunderclap of despair.
before his mind could protest, tengen reached between the bars of the cell, drawing her closer to him. the lukewarm metal bars pressed against her cheek, and she gasped as her bare forearm brushed against his fingertips.
“he’ll come back,” tengen mumbled softly. “the master will send for him again when he has learnt his lesson.”
“i don’t understand why,” she whimpered defeatedly, voice muffled against the marble of his chest. “but i feel this is all my fault.”
a stab of guilt tore through tengen’s heart, and he winced painfully. her heartstrings were completely shredded, trampled and spit on, and it was all because of him – tengen had to fix it.
“what do you need me to do?”
“please, bring him back to me.”
for you, i’ll do anything.
“i will, i swear it.”

18+ // explicit smut // MDNI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
gladiator!toji fought with all the wrath of the gods in the arena to ensure his victory, because victory meant he would live for the night and return to his home, his heart.
“shh, my love,” toji groaned lowly, a light sheen of sweat on his brow, his veined forearm across her breasts. “the others will hear us.”
she gasped loudly, and he shoved two of his fingers into her mouth to silence her moans. toji bent his legs, bucking his muscled thighs to drive his cock deeper into her plush wetness, eliciting sweet, muffled whines from her. she arched her back into his broad chest, reaching a hand behind to grasp his midnight locks between her fingers, the strands still caked with the blood of his enemies.
her slick trickled down his heavy balls as they slapped against her, as she lay atop his body – a body that was art, a tanned marble statue crafted by the gods themselves. he fondled her nipple, teasing with featherlight pinches around the hardened bud, and she drooled against his fingers.
“i kill for you,” toji huffed into the curve of her ear, gripping and squeezing her breast. “everyday i kill for you, for this. so i can come back to this tight, sweet pussy of yours every night.”
in these moments, they were fueled only by fire and lust, driven to chase their pleasure from each other. she whined again, sloppily sucking on his fingers, and toji growled, pounding into her with renewed vigor. he reached down to rub quick circles on her clit, feeling her clench and pulse around his thick cock.
toji moaned, his breaths hot and heavy against her neck. “let go for me. give me what i fought for, my prize.”
and let go she did, her head tipped back in pure white ecstasy as her legs and pussy shook from the sheer force of her orgasm. her juices squirted and splashed messily against his calves and dirtied mattress, and she couldn’t help the moans escaping her lips. toji continued to thrust into her, both his calloused hands on her hips as his balls tightened.
“cum, my gladiator,” she purred, pussy squelching lewdly as she licked his strong jawline.
toji groaned again, his hips stuttering as he shoved himself as far into her as he could go, thick, hot ropes of his cum filling her up. he’d plant a piece of himself deep inside her, where he could stay for a while in the sanctuary that was her body and soul.
until the next night came.

tw: mentions of violence, blood, and drugs!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
vigilante!toji had never any sort of intention of falling for his pretty little coworker at his dayjob.
but he couldn’t help but fall anyway. she was far too bubbly for her own good, always doing things like chirping a wonderfully bright ‘good morning’ to him whenever they first passed each other in the office at the start of the day. things like bringing in decadent chocolate truffles to work, but always open the box with him first so they could both have the best pick. things like asking him to reach a box high up on a shelf far out of her reach, beaming at him like he was her superhero for getting it for her, and making toji feel like his heart was on fire.
he had to look away, had to keep his distance.
toji fushiguro was a scarred man, willingly tearing apart barbed wires with his bare hands, trying to set free that part of him that honestly wanted to fix things. he didn’t want to do this forever, telling himself ‘just one more, and then i’m done’ far too many times to count. but there was no real end in sight.
there would always be another wire to cut.
he really tried not to think about her, because he definitely wasn’t any kind of superhero. so, he threw himself further into his outside work activities, trying to distract himself from any thoughts of her. painting shrouded alleyways red with blood, shattering skulls against piss-stained walls, and easily cracking necks like twisting open the cap of a water bottle.
she’d probably be physically sick if she found out who he really was.
but toji couldn’t always hide all his scars and cuts underneath his dress shirt. sometimes, she’d notice the slivers of crimson cracks along his knuckles, red marbling on his otherwise perfect skin. her lips would form a perfect ‘o’ shape as she dropped whatever task she was working on to give him her undivided attention.
“oh, toji,” she cooed sympathetically, concern shining in her big, beautiful eyes. “what on earth happened to you this time?”
he grunted, shrugging his shoulders as nonchalantly as possible, flipping his hands over so that his palms faced upwards. “i do carpentry outside work. fucks up my hands sometimes.”
toji would keep her safe in that haven of darkness he had built for as long as possible, even forever if he could. she didn’t need to know that he’d sniff the last whiffs of her perfume whenever she passed him, like sniffing lines of coke off a silver tray. she was made of honey and silk, soft and plush like sugary marshmallows, too good for the kind of life he was living in the shadows.
he knew he shouldn’t – couldn’t – indulge in his feelings.
he would rather die than subject her to a single shred of that part of himself.
