Wednesday Verse

🔮Mikaela Reid, a psychic who happens to move back to Jericho to work at the Weathervane with her roommate and best friend, Julian. She keeps it a secret that she’s a psychic, although the fact that she does tarot readings and often seems to always know exactly what people want definitely doesn’t do much to hide it.

☕Julian Nevera, a normal guy who happens to not mind the ‘weirdness’. Especially considering his roommate as well as best friend. He works at the Weathervane and generally sort of shrugs off anything odd that may or may not come around. He’s always there to help and support Mikaela no matter what since he knows how tough it is to be different and not fit in.

🔮When she was younger, Mikaela learned how to sew to patch up clothes and fix stuffed animals. Mainly this was due to her childhood friend, who would always come by with holes in their clothes and help fix their little sister’s toys. The tips of her fingers are really rough from how many times she use to prick her fingers.

🔮The night Danny showed up to her home, late at night the night his parents died, the first thing she did was bring him inside and make sure he was okay- make him a cup of hot chocolate and convinced him to stay the night. Of course those weren’t the only things she had done. Her arms wrapped around them, drawing them close as she hugged him. It was warm and familiar despite the two of them hardly hugging, a fond little memory of long days forgotten. A reminder of his humanity which was inlaid with their best friend.

🔮No matter the verse, Mikaela can see spirits; she can commune with them whether it be with the use of her connection to the otherside, mainly due to the fact that she’s always been... close to the deceased. Death has always been a constant in her life, and given that it has, the veil has always been non-existent for her.

Thyme

Anxiety is your middle name. The world is dark and you're so lonely it hurts sharper than any wound. How can you trust when it's all be shattered so many times before? How do you trust yourself when you've let so many in? You are a thousand contradictions, a thousand bits and pieces picked up along the way and maybe even this doesn't sound right, maybe nothing sounds right. You are so lonely and so afraid and you just want to be safe. Secure. Loved. You're so tired of being afraid.

Dandelion

You grew up too fast and all you know is the calluses on your fists and the thousand invisible scars that you pretend don't ache. Your anger burns so bright, so hot or maybe not at all, so deep you could never tell it was there. You are yours and you will defend that to the death after so many years of being ripped apart and denied your own agency and maybe you are still facing the bastards who stole your innocence but you will survive because that's the only thing you know how to do without breaking, the only thing you know besides protect, protect, protect, protect, yourself or sometimes those few others you claim as yours. You are a thousand sharp edges but impenetrable, a traumatized child so covered by thorny armor that you promised yourself you're grown now, you're stronger than anyone who has ever hurt you. You're safe. Nothing will ever hurt you again. You're so alone though sometimes, in a world that sees you as too much or too broken or too angry or too hurt, and you want to scream with the too-much of it, prove that you're okay, that you're self-reliant, that you are strong enough to stake your claim on your body, on your mind, on your heart, on your people, and protect it from any who dare take it away from you. You are the sea in tempest, a howling sky, a tsunami in motion, a force of nature, no matter how much you sometimes yearn to be still, to be safe, to be small. You are a dandelion, stubborn and determined to grow in the rockiest of soil, and bloom again in spring.

Cayenne

Everyone says that you're so bright, so loud, so much and maybe you are or maybe you're covering up that gaping wound in your chest with fireworks. Or maybe you really are so bright so warm so hot but sometimes you wonder if anything will ever be enough to soothe that aching burning cold fire in your chest. You don't know what it is, can't ever let yourself close enough to that pyre to know if it's anger or fear or loneliness or grief but it's there and if you're good enough, funny enough, bold enough, maybe you can hide it from everyone else. Maybe there's enough of you and enough of the world that you can outrun it forever, your own fire bright enough to put that wound to shame. Bright enough to prove to everyone, anyone, yourself, your mother, your father, your friends, your classmates, the world, that you're enough. You're enough. You're enough.

🔮The red head’s gaze snapped from where it had been focused on moments before- which had been on a set of bones where she was blessing them. Brow furrowing slightly as she strained her ears to hear anything besides the sounds of her own breath. Her heartbeat was normal but that didn’t mean she was safe... The Entity was known for favoring its killers than survivors. Slowly standing up, she carefully moved to keep herself mostly hidden in case it was playing tricks on her.

🔮Mikaela sighed softly, but didn’t respond. Merely focusing on the task at hand since they were back at the campfire so she could help take care of his wounds. Normally Claudette or Quentin would be doing this, but both of them were currently in a trial at least according to Nea and Steve.

Smiling softly, she brought her hands up to cradle his face as she pressed her lips back against his. She leaned into his hand as he cradled her own cheek, listening softly to his words.
