"You could stay." -Cubby
Wendy looked at him quizzically, almost taken back by the statement. Of course sheâd spent time where the boys lived, but never with one of them. She wasnât sure what the protocol for something like this was, especially when Peter lived with him. The last thing she wanted was for him to see the two of them together. âOh, no, I--I probably shouldnât,â she said finally, reluctant to decline. Wendy looked to the entrance to their apartment building, hesitant. The rest of the boys had already gone upstairs after being out together, but surely they wouldnât notice if she asked Colin to keep walking with her, in the direction of her place instead, would they? âIf you want to, um, walk back with me to my place, though, youâre more than welcome,â she suggested, nodding her head back toward the sidewalk. She didnât want to be suggestive, but just asking him to walk her home wasnât implying anything, she hoped. Still, she felt the need to clarify: âI mean, you can stay, if you want to. I completely understand if you want to keep hanging out with them, though.â

"Have a drink with me." -Slightly
Though she made it a point to never really indulge in alcohol, especially when it was around the boys, Wendy couldn't deny that it was an especially rough evening, one which called for an extra drink than the three she'd allotted herself at the start of the party. She could tell just from the weakened look on his face that Slightly was also struggling, and if the best way she could be there for him was by having an extra drink, then so be it. "Is everything alright?" she asked, instinctively wrapping an arm around his side, as he was too tall to reach for his shoulder. "We don't have to talk about it, if you don't want to, but I'm here to listen, whether it be tonight, tomorrow, next week ... or never, even." She didn't want to press him into giving her the story now, when it was supposed to be a night free of drama and instead full of fun, but it had seemed to take a turn toward the opposite. Though she'd taken refuge in his room before, Wendy didn't want to bother him with her own problems, either, deciding that talking about Peter could wait until later, or maybe never, in her case, too. @slightlyconceited

đȘĄChapter Thirty-three: Rehearsal
âThese are actually really good,â Megumi said, digging his fork through another piece of the pancake. âNot too sweet?â you asked him.
âNot too sweet,â he confirmed.
âAre you excited for the show?â Megumi put a hand over his mouth, making sure not to completely swallow the food he had in his mouth before answering. âMore nervous, but everythingâs been going good at the past rehearsals, so hopefully this will go over well.â
âYouâll do great, you wonât mess up promise,â you smiled at him, returning your attention to your food.
âHope so.â
âLooks good to you?â you asked Megumi as you helped adjust his hair a little more. âYeah, looks better honestly.â You smiled at him, wrapping your arms around his shoulders giving him a kiss on the cheek.
âY/n can you help me out, the hair in the back doesnât wanna stay,â Ino spoke up a few feet besides you two. âHm? oh yeah sure.â
You stood up straight, moving over to help style his hair back. âThanks, sorry didnât wanna bother but I couldnât get it.â
âYeah donât worry, Iâm not the best either at this but we have help around too just in case.â
Just as you were finished adjusting Inoâs hair, Megumi spoke up âY/n I just noticed this parts uneven.â You looked over, stepping back towards Megumi. âWhich part?â you asked placing your hand on his shoulder.
He stared at the mirror for a second, before meeting your eyes in it. âOh never mind, I think I was just looking at it wrong.â
âY/n!â
You turned around to the calling of your name, seeing Inumaki spin Yuki around towards you. âLook Y/n your friend did a great job! I love it!â Yuki announced. âWow, you do look great Yuki!â
âAnd they said it wasnât the same thing,â Inumaki nodded his head towards another station where Maki and Nobara where currently working.
You saw Maki and a volunteer assistant happily working on Kirara, with Choso looking up in your guys direction, eyes on Yuki, and Yuta happily chatting away with them. Next to them you could see Nobara argueing with Sukuna trying to get something on his face but his hand kept swatting it away. A nervous looking Kamo slowly inching away from them.
âAlright, we can chill for a few, weâve got 10 minutes before needing to be in the backstage.â
âGood luck,â you told Megumi. âItâs still just practice, save it for the actual show.â You both leaned against a wall in the backstage area, seeing everyone file in to get lined up in order.
âYou know the project?â Megumi brought up.
âPhotography?â
âYeah,â Megumi smiled at you, âI got an A, said it was nice to see me try something different.â
âDifferent? In what way?â you questioned
âHe said it was nice seeing a more personal touch from me.â You looked at him, giving him quick peck on the cheek. âGood, you deserved it, it was beautiful, well at least to me.â
âGet lined up you can have your moment later,â Maki said approaching you two, âWe gotta start heading out,â she told you. You raised your hand slightly, âSee you in a few then.â Megumi returned the gesture, âSee you.â

"Remember how Iâd fly to you?" - Peter
Wendy had always been enchanted by all of Peterâs tricks, how he could make himself levitate out of nowhere, making magic seemingly before her eyes. âHow could I forget?â No matter what happened between them, she would still remember the way he made her feel like anything was possible, especially the things she had thought were the opposite. She couldnât blame him if it was too painful to keep seeing her after heâd effectively sacrificed his own happiness for everyone elseâs. âYou still can, you know,â she offered, testing the waters. âI would hate to not be friends.â It was what sheâd feared since meeting him in the first place: her feelings for him getting in the way of their friendship. Little had Wendy known that it would be the exact opposite. âAt least, I hope that wasnât what you were trying to suggest. Youâre my best friend in the world, Peter. I donât know who I am without you.â

"You're not leaving again, are you?" - Pacifica
Though she knew that the blonde definitely could've found somewhere more sophisticated to be tonight, she appreciated that she came through to her friends' party. The engagement party that they'd both attended was most definitely more of Pacifica's speed, but it seemed that she was having a fine enough time so far. "No, no, I'm sorry, I just needed a minute," she assured her. Though she wanted to continue to hide in the comfort of her friends' room, she couldn't leave Pacifica again. "I'll be okay. Alcohol may speed up the process, though," she suggested, raising a suggestive brow at her friend. Wendy hardly even let her answer before she was pulling her toward the kitchen. "I mean, I don't really like to get that drunk, but what's the harm, right? It's not like I'm going to be driving home, or anything." Though her car sat outside, Wendy was sure she could ask her parents to pick she and her siblings up, or find room on the sofa. @selfcenter

âYou can do better than thatâ -Danielle
She knew that the older girl was right, as she usually was about all things relating to boys and love in general. Wendy had been far more sheltered from reality than Danielle had been, as she'd never had a real relationship, or a sibling run away from home and somehow find his way back. All she wanted to do was go back to Slightly's room and lock herself in for the rest of the night, which was still a viable option, but Wendy also didn't want to just leave her friends because she was upset over a what-if. "I know," she agreed finally, bringing her sleeve to her nose to wipe away a sniffle. "I don't know why I still think that maybe something's going to happen, because clearly, it's not. Not even a stupid dare can make it so." Wendy let out an incredulous laugh, shaking her head with how ridiculous this sounded. She just needed another drink, and maybe some advice from her older friend. @ellietramp

âWould it be alright if I borrowed this?â - Prilla
Wendy looked up from the drinks she was pouring to see one of Tink's friends, one of the sweeter ones who didn't seem to dislike her as much as some of the others. Though she couldn't immediately tell what the brunette was referring to, she narrowed her eyes to the stack of cups that stood beside her own. "Oh, these?" she asked, holding out the tower of red plastic cups. "Of course! Sorry, I shouldn't have been holding onto so many when I just needed one," Wendy apologized, letting out a laugh. "Are you having a good time? I was hoping I'd see you around here." It was still early in the night, though the boys had already been here by default and Tink's friends had shown up rather early, before the rest of the crowd. @prillaq

"Every great journey begins with a single footstep." -Tommy
"Oh, my goodness, be careful, will you?" she shouted across the rooftop, watching anxiously as Tommy decided to walk across the pipe a few inches off the pavement. She'd seen the other boys do it all the time, but only once had someone slipped and twisted their ankle, and it was enough for Wendy to worry any time someone decided to do the same. She held out her hand as he took a step, offering it to lean on in case he needed her. "You know, I need friends who are perfectly content with not needing an adrenaline rush every now and then," she said jokingly, shifting her gaze between his face and his feet. "Did your friends wind up coming, too? I thought I saw one of them, the awfully tall one. And the girl you're seeing, too, or did she have work?" Wendy asked, recalling that the redhead he'd been on a few dates with had a demanding schedule. @filmedbypickles

"You were put on this earth to give me a headache." - tink
Wendy stood with her fists clenched as she stared at the blonde, unsure how to respond. She hadn't meant for things to escalate the way they had with the silly game that their friends had started. Wendy hadn't exactly agreed to it, either, but she also hadn't told him that she didn't want it, because she had, in fact, wanted to kiss him. Things were just rather complicated, and she ought to have called it all off to not make it that way. Wendy had just consumed one too many glasses of punch to think about that as it was happening. "That's rather rude to say," Wendy stated plainly, tossing the paper towels soaked in orange juice into the trash can. She looked over at Tink, giving her a hint of a glare. "I didn't mean for that to happen, but I was pressured into it. Nothing even happened, as you made sure of," Wendy reminded her, finally crossing her arms over her chest after washing her hands of the remnants of juice. @imatinker

"It's nothing, I'm just tired." - Violet
Wendy hated to see her friends in distress, but Violet, especially. She was always rock solid, someone who didn't let things sway her very much at all, and Wendy had always admired that about her. She could tell that there was something wrong, though, and she wondered if it had something to do with the blonde who Wendy had her own issues with. "You didn't talk to Tink, did you? Isn't Dash here?" She hadn't received the full story of what had happened between the two, she was sure, as there were always two sides to every story. Tink certainly hadn't given hers, nor did Wendy expect to ever hear it. "We don't have to stay here, you know. I can come back later to help clean up. We can go ... get something to eat, a drink somewhere else ... whatever you'd like. You're my date, remember?" she reminded her, giving Violet a playful nudge. "I'm here to please." @inviisibleprr

"Wait a minute. Are you jealous?" - Peter
& here @awaywithpeter
Wendy hadn't expected to be kissed the night of the party, and she especially hadn't expected the person on the other end of it to be the person she'd been wanting to kiss from the moment she'd laid eyes on him. This wasn't the way she'd wanted it to happen, though. She'd wanted him to kiss her because he wanted to, not because the rest of their friends had dared them to. Wendy had gone along with it, of course, only because she hadn't wanted him to be ridiculed by the rest of the boys. It had been, of course, cut short by a certain blonde, the only one of their friends who hadn't been for the dare happening. Before she knew it, there was sticky liquid on the ground, and Wendy had been cleaning it up with tears welling in her eyes.
After taking care of the mess, Wendy had found one of the bedrooms with no one in it, thankfully (it had taken one try and walked-in-on make-out session before finding quiet). There was a knock on the door as she let the tears flow freely, and Wendy only answered it because she knew the voice on the other side: the very boy who had caused her to cry like this. Wendy opened the door, only after wiping her eyes, frustrated, and taking a few breaths.
"Peter, no, I'm ... not jealous," she let out, sitting back down on Slightly's bed. Wendy wasn't even sure who she would be jealous of, if anyone. "I, um--I just hadn't expected that to happen, before. I hadn't wanted any attention, I shouldn't have let it happen." Wendy was quick to blame herself, feeling rather stupid for indulging the notion of a kiss happening in the first place. "Don't worry about me, Peter, it's fine. Did the rug get cleaned? We can look at it in the morning."

"May I have this dance?" -max
Wendy had extended an invite to the boy she'd met in the park, the one who had rescued her scarf from blowing away entirely, to the party her friends were throwing. He'd mentioned something about one of his friends being invited, too, a blonde with hair he said that hit the floor, and she actually hadn't believed him until she'd seen the girl for herself. Max had also mentioned being a bouncer at a bar, and she figured maybe they could use someone with muscle if things got out of hand. "Of course," she answered, giving him a smile and her hand to get out of the kitchen and go to the living room. "Though, you should know that there's not much room for dancing in there. I don't know how many people my friends invited, but it's certainly more than should have been squeezed into this place," Wendy added, letting out a laugh. She was only slightly fearful that this party was a fire hazard. @horsearound

"I'm in the mood for pizza, what do you think?" -cubby
Wendy sighed as she looked down at her watch for the time. People had already begun to show up at their apartment, and with the time nearing closer to eight o'clock, there would surely be more people coming soon. They hadn't eaten dinner, though, and maybe it wouldn't be so terrible to have food ready for just the first people who were already there. She groaned, opening her phone to the Pizza Planet website to begin an order. "Only because I'm starving and we should probably make everyone eat before they put alcohol in their stomachs," she agreed, handing him her phone with the menu page opened. "How many do you think we should order? I don't want anything to go to waste, but I don't want there to not be enough, either, if we have a whole wave of people show up soon." Wendy paused, looking over his shoulder as he began to add things to the cart. "Get an order of garlic knots for me, will you?" @colincubs

âWhy are you laughing? This is a very serious situation.â -Terence
Wendy stared down at the spilled bottle of soda on the boys' kitchen floor, unable to keep herself from laughter. Terence had been so kind to pour a glass for her until someone had sloppily bumped into him, sending half of the contents of the bottle on the tile. "Terence, people are so drunk here that they're not even going to notice," she pointed out, though she reached over the counter to grab a roll of paper towels, anyway. As far as she was concerned, a minor spill in the kitchen was the least of their worries, as it seemed that people were simply getting more intoxicated as the night went on. There had to be something even worse than this occur in due time; Wendy was mentally preparing herself for it. At least she had Terence to keep her anxiety grounded for now. "Here," she offered, handing him the roll, "I can go check the closet for a real towel, though I'm afraid there might be people doing ... I don't even know what in there." @terencemills

"There's never a bad time for ice cream." - Michael
Wendy nearly rolled her eyes at her brother and his suggestion, shaking her head insistently. She already had so much stress over getting the pizza that Cubby had requested for everyone that a food that melted seemed like the worst idea she could possibly think of. "I'll offer you a compromise," she agreed hesitantly, narrowing her eyes a bit at her brother as she considered giving him an alternative. "Just think of how many people are going to want to take your ice cream if we get it, right? You know, drunk people always want the first snack they see," Wendy pointed out, a preface to her idea. "What if we wait until everyone leaves--everyone but the Lost Boys, Tink, and I, that is--and then we can go and pick some up? That way, you won't have to worry about a stranger stealing your ice cream, and it won't be melted since we won't be having it delivered. I'll just drive us to Beaches and Cream and we can pick it up?" @othrdarlinboyy

"Hey, are you okay?"
It was a loaded question, and one that Wendy could throw back on the girl after her sister had effectively disappeared. She wasnât sure how she was feeling, but there was an immense amount of guilt associated with being one of the reasons why things had turned upside down for her friends. âIâve been better,â she admitted with a light laugh. âThank you for asking, though. It does mean a lot.â Most of Tiaraâs friends were fairly nice to her, but Perie had always gone out of her way to make sure that Wendy was okay. It felt almost like it was forbidden, though she supposed that now that she and Tiara had somehow landed on better terms than before, it wasnât the worst thing in the world. âHave you heard from Tiara at all? I know she said that she was going to get away for a little bit, and I donât mean to overstep by trying to contact her.â
