HOW TO PIN YOUR INSECTS:
Position limbs into desired arrangement and pin in place
Maintain eye contact
Pin should pass through the center of the thorax
Move slowly; lest the divine light leak out along with the ichor
Wait for the embers to die.
Wait for the embers to reignite.

L 😭 im a mess i cant stop listening to this song [https://youtu.be/4ELTaMB41OQ?si=7PCNCUQenoJsLQNC] and the only thing in my head is Regulus playing piano w reader 😭😭😭 like i imagine ofc the black parents forcing their children to learn art and music and french shit and playing piano stuck with Reggie bc it helps him kind of turn his mind off for a bit and just let his fingers do their thing 😭 then reader comes along not knowing how to but always loving to listen to reg play 🧍‍♀️ good bye
🩷
omg aweeee yes I see this - I totally see Reg as an artsy guy, both with instruments, painting/sketching, and maybe poetry (tortured souls, right?) this was so cute - and the song too! I've never heard it before so thanks for sharing!
Regulus Black x GN!reader CW: mentions of past family/parental abuse, sibling relationships
You weren't at all surprised to find him here. He'd gone quiet at dinner and excused himself as early as politely possible.
You leaned against the doorframe as Regulus' fingers skirted across the keys of the grand piano in the living room, murmuring soft lyrics you couldn't make out from this distance. The chance of the song being a cover or an original equally as likely.
Dinner's with his brother could sometimes be hard for Regulus - both parties feeling different levels of guilt over their respective treatment of the other. Living in a house with abusive parents meant you either adapted, or you died. Sometimes the boys would stick together - power in numbers and a sense of camaraderie. And sometimes, life was a little bit easier for you if it was your brother who was the object of your parents' attention.
That kind of environment didn't exactly support or foster a healthy sibling relationship.
It only grew worse after Sirius ran away.
All this to say - though the boys have done a lot of work on their relationship and reconciliation, sometimes memories were brought up in conversation that neither boy has had the chance to process fully, and they had to deal with that as it came.
Which brings you back to the living room after having cleared the table, washing the dishes and putting the left overs away.
You were friends with Sirius too - and you couldn't help but chuckle at how different the two boys ended up.
For example, you knew Sirius would rather sit naked on a hot grill than return to the seat of a piano; you supposed having your hands smacked with a ruler until the bled for messing up your scales could do that to a person. But somehow, Regulus seemed to find peace in the thoughtlessness of letting his fingers find their notes along the instrument he knew inside and out; the quiet of his mind gave him the chance to process his feelings.
You decided to stop being a creep from the edge of the room and join Reg quietly on the piano bench. He must have known you were there, because he never faltered or surprised at your appearance.
"Sorry I left." He murmured quietly. "I'll clean up later, I promise."
You leaned your head on his shoulder as you watched his fingers work, shaking your head. "I've already done the washing, don't worry about it."
He made a tsking sound as he leaned his head atop yours. "I didn't mean to leave that up to you, mon chéri."
"I was happy to do it."
"I'll make it up to you, hm? What would you like?" He offered as he kissed your head, the keys and their notes never faltering under his hands.
"Play me a song."
And he did.

Dear Silver,
First, please don't tell others of the content of this letter, I want it to be just between us. Second, I know we don't talk much, but I hope you could be honest with me, you know, human to human. Why are Sebek, Lilia, and Malleus acting so weird?
Lilia has offered to kill for me like five times, and I haven't really noticed him offering that to anyone else (thank God). Plus I walked in on Sebek calling a bunch of students worthless humans, and then when I was offended he fell prostrate on the floor and begged for my forgiveness. Like, I gave him it, and then he just ignored the people he was insulting? Like I was the only one who's opinion mattered? And Malleus has straight up offered me, a magicless commoner, to be his co-ruler. Like, I know I'm his first friend, but I don't think Briar Valley's citizens would be impressed.
So I just want to know, is this a fae thing? Could you explain why I'm the only one they act like this to? Like what makes me more special than everyone else?
Thank you!
Reader
(Reader is in their world. Feel free to throw this letter out or respond with any length you desire. A completely oblivious reader is just so funny to me, because I know that's how I'd react.)
(also I love your writing and I hope you have a nice day! :) )
This made me laugh. The (not so) small hints to some of my works and more... just pure comedy material! XD
Also, this letter is longer so it's a “write your heart out” one.

Silver-Not a “fae thing”
Hearing someone knock on the door of Ramshackle you went up from the couch. In the night it had suddenly began to rain which made you sleep in the entrance hall to see over the buckets and when you needed to empty them, a timer waking you up every two hours. Just what would you do for a small spark of magic so you could fix this? Finally reaching the front door you opened it just as you looked down on yourself. Good lord, you looked even worse than how the ghosts must have looked before they died. To your surprise it wasn't the usual face of a Heartslabyul student. Riddle sometimes send one over as a servant so that you “could live up to your standards”. The color of his hair immediately gave away who he was. Just what did he want from you? And whY wAs HE KNEELING??! Holding out a letter like you had seen knights hold out a sword to their queen in historical dramas you were finally saying goodbye to your sanity. Just why the heck was Diasomnia always so weird when sketching was about you? Taking it you gave him a smile before excusing yourself with “I need to look after the buckets and if the cealing stopped to dropping with water.” Closing it you were trying to shake off the feeling of someone still drilling holes into your head. Wait a second... did you just see Lilias face for a moment in a hole in the cealing??!
Tumblr media
Dear Overseer,
I am apologizing for our behavior. I swear that we always had good intentions in mind! It is not a “fae thing”. We decided to make sure that everything would go well as long as you stood here with us. All we are trying to do is making you as comfortable as possible. Never would we have ever imagined that our actions would be seen as weird or something like that. But dear Overseer, is this a test? Are you trying to find out if a simple letter would shake the foundation of my belief? You are of course our dear Overseer. The gentle gaze that watches over the world it created. Of course we would behave differently towards you.
But there have also been other things you are curious about. My fathers offer as a example. I am aware that he could be a bit off-putting with such a thing. He is just concerned. There have been many individuals who dared to try to usurp your throne and make themselves the highest being in our world. Because of that, my father has become rather extreme with his measure when it's to whom to end and whom not to. I have to say, although I understand your side I also understand his. Let all the sinners that dared to attack your divinity be cleaned off of this world. I shall help if the situation ever arises. I promise you that.
Sebek has done that! Oh dear Overseer, please forgive him! H can be someone very hard to work with but at the same time I have to ask for your forgiveness! He and I grew up and I know that deep down he cares for everyone. I'm happy to hear that he made up for his rude behavior. Just begging for forgiveness was a bit weak though. He should have begged for forgiveness and sworn to be yours for all eternity. I will never understand how he is able to call himself a true follower.
My master has already asked you that? I thought he would give himself a but more time. You see, he was always so nervous whenever the topic of you becoming our dear ruler came up. We all care about you without limits so don't worry about anything.
I do have to admit though, that I am jealous. They all have so much to offer to you whilst I can only write you this letter. I am not such a great general that I can promise you neverending punishment for the heretics neither am I of royal descent, able to give you a life in luxury. I am just a simple human. But I promise that I would do anything for you. Tell me whenever you need something and you shall have it. Just please, grace me with a glimpse of yours. I am aware that to you I am nothong more than vermin. Let me at least serve you with my life.
Sincerely yours,
Silver

If you're accepting the drabbles still (which are great so far!) Weird story for this one, but when you first started the prompts I misread the Paint Me prompt as Paint It Blood. So if you don't mind the specificity... OkiChi, Paint Me or Haunt Me, en route for the bad ending?
Wow, out of the few prompts I’ve already done, this is the one I decide to make not sad or angsty, even though you gave me an opening. Paint Me it is~
Chizuru supposed there were worse things she could have walked in on than Okita drawing, but that didn’t make her any less surprised to see all the paper lying scattered around his charcoal-stained futon.
More importantly, from the looks of things, he was quite good at it. She couldn’t see too many of the details, but several of them appeared to feature cats. However, her observations were cut short as Okita addressed her. “Chizuru-chan,” he greeted, not looking up from his current work. “Do you need something, or are you just going to stand there and stare at me?”
“I’m sorry,” said Chizuru. “I just… didn’t know you could draw, Okita-san.”
“Well, I can,” said Okita, rolling his shoulders in something between a shrug and a stretch. “Anyway, I’m not shy or anything, but there’s a bit of a draft. I don’t care which side of the door you end up on, but I’d appreciate it if you’d shut it.”
Jolting to action, Chizuru stepped fully into the room and slid the door softly shut behind her. “Did you… teach yourself?” she asked tentatively, daring to approach.
“Yeah,” replied Okita, still sketching. “This might be news to you, but lying in bed all day is kinda boring, so I’ve gotten in a lot of practice over the years. You can thank Yamazaki-kun for lending me the supplies.”
Chizuru knew from Okita’s dismissive tone that he meant that literally: he had no intention of thanking Yamazaki himself. Struggling not to roll her eyes, she knelt next to his futon. “Can I ask what you’re drawing now?”
“Mm-hmm.” When Okita said nothing further, only continued his work, Chizuru really did roll her eyes this time. Even if it was only a glance skyward. Why did he always have to be so literal?
“Then… what are you drawing now?”
“You,” responded Okita, so nonchalantly that Chizuru almost didn’t understand.
“M-me?” asked Chizuru, blinking a few times, once she had her wits about her. She didn’t particularly consider herself worth being drawn, especially since Okita’s only other subjects seemed to be cats and the occasional sword—both things he liked very much. Why would he even consider placing her among them when he always treated her like such a nuisance…?
Okita glanced over at her, eyes sparkling. “Is it that much of a surprise?” he asked, pausing in his sketch, and tilted his head. “You’re a pretty obvious subject. I mean, I do see you every day, whether I like it or not.”
Chizuru sighed, but her smile returned almost immediately. As frustrating as Okita’s teasing always was, It was honestly a relief to see that he was feeling a little better, even if it resulted in mischief. He’d been so listless for so long that she had begun to feel helpless. If drawing her helped somehow, then so be it.
“Do you want to see it?” asked Okita conversationally, setting down his charcoal. “I think this is as good as it’s gonna get.”
Chizuru stared at him. She’d been shocked enough that Okita would draw her to begin with, but to offer to show her? “I—I’d be honored, Okita-san,” she said, dipping her head awkwardly. But for some reason, Okita almost snorted, then coughed to cover it up. Chizuru found herself nonplussed by his derisive reaction, until he turned his paper around and held it up for her to see.
This was no ordinary portrait. Rather than her face, Okita’s drawing was of her back from the shoulderblades up. But… but… she wasn’t wearing anything! And her hair hung loose around her shoulders instead of up in its usual ponytail! “O-Okita-san!” exclaimed Chizuru, face burning, and covered her eyes in shame. How could he do such a thing?!
It was admittedly a beautiful drawing, but the problem was that she couldn’t possibly be that pretty. Okita must have used someone else as a model, even if only from memory. That thought made her uncomfortable for reasons she didn’t want to think about yet, but she supposed it was better than the only other possibility, which was being spied on in the bath.
And wait—why would Okita draw such a thing in the first place?!
“Aw, is it really that bad?” asked Okita, and there was a rustle as though he was turning the paper around to look at it again. “In that case, do you mind giving me some reference? I’d like to check if I got it right, since I’ve never seen you like that before.”
“Then why did y—?!” Chizuru slid her hands from her eyes down to her mouth, taking a deep breath. She probably shouldn’t raise her voice at Okita, even if he had drawn her in such a way. Matsumoto might think something was seriously wrong and come bursting in, and the last thing Chizuru needed was for anyone else to see that.
“I just thought it’d be a fun project, okay?” said Okita, more than a little alarmed by the force of Chizuru’s reaction. “Keep your shirt on. Or… actually, on second thought, maybe don’t.”
Even if Okita was joking, there was a time and a place, and that was the last straw. “I—I’m going to tell Yamazaki-san,” said Chizuru, leaping to her feet. “If you don’t have any drawing supplies, you might not waste your time drawing such ridiculous things!”
“All right, all right, fine,” conceded Okita, tossing her a look of mingling betrayal and resignation. “I’m sorry for drawing you without permission.” He may have been missing the point, but where Okita was concerned, Chizuru would take any apology she could get. “But if I can’t draw, I’m going to need something else to do.” Setting his latest work aside, he leaned back on his hands and tilted his head to look up at her. “You’ll entertain me, right?”
“As long as I don’t have to take off my clothes,” said Chizuru stiffly, crossing her arms in as stern a gesture as she could manage while she was still so flustered.
Okita grinned, but there was something sly about it. Almost like he knew something Chizuru didn’t. “Not if you don’t want to, Chizuru-chan,” he smiled, and that was when she knew she wasn’t out of the woods just yet.

[1]I am sorry if I am bothering you and if you don't like the subject I want to discuss with you, but I followed you for a while and I really like your thoughts and ideas about different matters concerning ava's demon. I just caught up with fandom drama about those leaked arts and I can't really understand why people now are soo mean to the author. Maybe it's just different cultures (in my country people are not THAT active on such matters, they are active on others) but I really don't see the
[2] the problem here: characters are aged up, it’s just some fanart drawn not by the author herself but by the colorist and it doesn’t affect the comic (in which, to my mind were raised even darker themes, than aged up porn with demons) and now people are freaked out and name it “calling out” on the child porn. I don’t really understand the matter, so, I really wanted to see your thoughts if you don’t mind. (Also I saw post that MC decided to ban those who leaked arts)
you’re not bothering me lovely, don’t you fret! and thank you, it’s nice knowing people like my thoughts and opinions on things, even though I ramble a hell of a lot about all sorts of shit :“’>
oh god though, where to even begin with the current crap raging in the tags. I’ll start off by saying I probably only contain surface level knowledge of the situation because I think the whole things ridiculous and haven’t delved very deep into it because of that. but I do know some shit, so I’ll talk about that and explain to people why they’re being dumb (again. you’d think they’d listen the first time but nope!)
to start off with, why are people being mean to Michelle? cause they’ve got no lives. like, I’d sugar coat it, but that’s it. some people like to think they’re better than others by spreading false information around and gaining a following who boost their egos, making them feel better and superior over those they’re bullying. you can try and feed me crap like how they’re trying to protect minors against a paedophile but if you really wanted to protect anyone, you wouldn’t leak pornographic images from a locked website and post them on a website where minors are present and could be exposed to the images.
do I even need to mention that if you wanted to actually protect children against a paedophile, you wouldn’t make such a big hullabaloo about it? I’ve done safeguarding before, the whole fucking point is that you’re trying to protect the child so you gotta keep shit on the down low, like you don’t go fucking telling everybody about it, you keep shit discreet, you contact the right people, and you get it sorted with as little fuss as possible for the safety and protection of the child.
obviously the people in these tags don’t get that and just like screaming nasty words at someone who draws art for a living, like I bet these fuckwits go over to old ladies houses and stomp on their fucking flowers n shit man.
I digress.
from what I understand, some 17y/o knob jockey wanted in on the patreon, but hello, the nsfw patreon tier is for 18+ only (ya know, the same way porn sites and other websites containing adult content are) and so this lil shitbag badgered their friend until their mate showed them the art which the shitbag later leaked.
like…… man, where do I even begin, what even is there to say anymore? they wanted to see that shit and when they were told no they got petty and found a way to leak the art. and they’ve started this whole fucking shitstorm about child porn, and like…….. can you IMAGINE going out onto the fucking street and telling someone casually “oh yeah, this artist I like has this website where they post art and I wasn’t allowed to see it so I found a way to steal one of their artworks to leak it and claim it as child porn” like….. you’d think they were off their fucking rocker, what kind of insane shit ??
it ain’t child porn, plain and fucking simple. I’ve seen the artwork and it ain’t. Pedri’s a big fucking lad, he’s a giant fucking ALIEN and Ava is a short human gal. like ???? my man, I don’t even KNOW what to say. it’s not child porn, Ava isn’t drawn as a fucking child, it doesn’t MATTER that she’s currently 15 in the comic because she’s not drawn as a child in the nsfw artwork, it’s !!! it’s literally driving me up the fucking wall that people can’t understand that??
just…… ya know what makes child porn child porn? it’s images or videos showcasing young children being sexually abused and raped. and that is fucking disgusting, the fact content like that exists makes me sick to my fucking stomach.
this artwork? not child porn. it’s a rough sketch, rough lines digitally drawn on a digital canvas, of a fictional alien man who is a literal long legged giant and a short woman who has been appropriately depicted as being an adult.
if this sketch got lined and coloured and suddenly Ava looked like a hairless mole rat and her body size suddenly shrunk to look like a toddlers and the pair of hanging tiddies she got fell off, THEN I’d have reason to be concerned. as it stands? people are fuckwits and need to hop over to specsavers and get their eyes looked at cause I dunno WHAT they’re fucking seeing to make them think this is fucking child porn, the dirty fucking cunts.
ALSO, a point about Ava being short…… there’s artwork on the patreon of Nevy holding up Ava, like it’s an innocent pic, no sex or nanc, it’s just Nevy holding Ava so they’re at eye level, and Ava’s such a lil shortarse that Nevy is holding her up off the ground. her feet don’t even touch the floor she’s such a lil shorty, my fucking god.
so, in all, in conclusion….. I think people are being super fucking dumb and I think people need to get a better fucking grip on reality because if they think that’s child porn then they ain’t got a fucking clue what child porn is, and I can’t even say nanc else cause I hope no one ever has to witness child abuse in that form, and anyone who willingly engages in that content should be fucking locked up or worse.
anyone in this damn fandom who screams paedo or child porn needs to grow the fuck up and understand that they’re being massive fucking wankers, and that’s the end of that.

20 Things not to say in a Tattoo shop
Being a tattoo artist is totally amazing. We get to work with people, draw every day, listen to cool music at work, and hang with our amazing crew. We are very privileged to be able to make our living from drawing art on people´s skin. But there is a catch. We do have our negative triggers. And I am going to explain them and why. So here are some things you should never say in a tattoo shop:
1. I let my dog sleep in my bed with me
If you have animals close to your skin during the healing process of the tattoo, you are super exposed to bacterias and can easily harm the tattoo big time if you get infected. Letting your dog sleep in your bed is the worst thing you could do during those first 3-4 weeks.
2. How much for a sleeve?
It is like asking "how long is a road", "how much for a car/house/furniture/coat/watch" etc. It depends on so many things, but mostly size, color-use, the artist, the speed, the placement, and more... As soon as you have something visual to show us, sort of like a plan that shows what you want to get we can start guessing the price a bit.
Tumblr media
Are you enjoying this post? Please pin this image to save the post on Pinterest!
3. Can you draw something and if I like it I book an appointment?
This is a question we get a lot. A drawing, sketch or digital design takes a while to make. Being tattoo artists is our full-time job, our serious profession. No artist that works full-time tattooing will be willing to work extra, for free, for you to maybe get an appointment. What we do, is we book a consultation, talk about what you want, charge a prepayment for a design, and when you are happy with it, we tattoo it.
4. I am just 17, but my parents approve.
Then you will just have to wait just a little bit longer. We have an 18-year limit, no exceptions.
5. Can you hurry up, please?
Would you really like your tattoo artist to hurry up? Its a permanent piece of art stuck on your body for the rest of your life. I would let the artist take their time, make it the best they can.
Tumblr media
6. I had a few beers to man up.
You don't man up before getting tattooed, you man up BY being tattooed. And if you have been drinking before a tattoo session, we will through you right out the door. Alcohol makes the blood thinner, so its difficult to make the tattoo look as amazing. And drunk people are not welcome in a professional studio, cause they're usually quite annoying.
7. I want the text to be super small, like a freckle.
So that no one ever can see it? Then why get it? Why pay for a luxury beauty accessory like that, and not be able to see it? It's going to blur and blend together into a thick stain eventually. Is that what you want?
8. Can I pay you next week?
Do you ask the same to the hairdresser or at the grocery store? We are a business, like other businesses. So the answer is a blunt No.
9. Can I get a sleeve done today?
Hahaha, this is a funny one. I guess you have seen some Tattoo TV show, and think that a sleeve is done in a day. Firstly, we have waiting lists, so starting on a sleeve is not possible until the waitlist is complete. Secondly, a sleeve takes time. Several long days, how many depends on so many things. And you need time between sessions to heal. So it could easily take 6 months to make a sleeve.
Tumblr media
10. I always scratch my tattoos.
Then you probably won't mind getting infected, scars or broken parts in your tattoo that you will have to pay to retouch.
11. Can I rent you for a party?
The location needed to tattoo has to be approved by the health department. Because there are so many risks in tattooing, that only a pro tattoo artist in a pro studio can avoid. So, the answer is mostly a NO, but if you are very serious for an event, get the area approved by the health department and ask again.
12. Can I bring a couple of friends to watch?
This is usually not a problem in a smaller tattoo shop. But in our big shop with 3 floors and right now 11 artists and 4 staff members, and all the artist's clients, we fill the area quite enough as it is. If the clients bring their friends too, we are not able to breathe in there anymore...
13. How about my kids? Can they come?
Every artist needs their utmost concentration. We do make tattoos. They are permanent. If we should mess up because of a sudden child's sound or movement, that would be on you... So no, sorry.
14. I brought my dog, where can he sit?
Would you bring your dog to the doctors or the dentist? Its all about hygiene. So no...
Tumblr media
Are you enjoying this post? Please pin this image to save the post on Pinterest!
15. No thanks, I don't need ointment, I have vaseline at home.
Please listen to what we say when it comes to healing. If you want to use anything else than what we recommend, the healing process is out of our control. We are proud of our work and don't want you to mess up the tattoo by thinking you know more about the healing than we do.
16. What do YOU think I should get?
If you ask that question, you don't want a tattoo. Period. You can get lots of ideas in my Tattoo Ideas board on Pinterest, which is updated daily!
17. Shit, That´s expensive!
How much did your latest outfit cost? Or a night out? Those are expenses you will wear out or forget. Tattoos are there for the rest of your life. Damn, we should get an annual payment for our tattoos, like the apps you have on your phone! But the tattoo is just way cooler.
Tumblr media
18. I want that exact tattoo copied.
We are artists, and enjoy creating art. Tattoos are our form of art. If you come in with a photo of a tattoo, and you want it exactly the same, we will try to talk you into making something similar, not a copy.
19. Sorry, Can´t make it to the appointment (2 hours before)
We have a 48-hour cancellation deadline, but sometimes we get a call just a couple of hours before, or even right at the minute. Sorry, can't make it. We made a design, we made everything ready for you. Some tattoo artists charge deposits. We just started billing those who don't show up.
20. Holy Crap, it hurts!
Yes, it does. Now please be quiet! Cause I need to make a nice tattoo for the rest of your life. The more you scream or move, the worse the outcome. So, if you say any of these to your tattoo artist, it may cause some irritation. Most artists are great at explaining the issues around these questions or outbursts, so don´t be afraid to ask your artist if you have any questions. Check out my studio www.attitude.no Read the full article
