Homesick

(Part 2) I had an urge to write homesick Cupid after I thought about how much the Wonderlandians missed Wonderland before they got it back.

It was just another day at Ever After High and Cupid was in her room. She frowns looking at her mirror phone, she misses her iCoffin, she misses the smell of Monster High, the students, her old friends. She's done so much at Ever After. She started up the True Hearts Day celebration again, she got so many people together, and even made it known that Ashlynn and Hunter dating was okay because they followed their true hearts.

She misses her home though. She sniffs a little, she really doesn't want to start crying. Someone might say it's not like the future Eros to cry, but she isn't even the future Eros. It's not like Frankie is going to be the next Frankenstein or Draculaura the next Dracula.

She blows her nose and she looks down at her mirror phone again. She looks at pictures but she has none of her home, none of her freaky friends, none of her, Abbey and Frankie's season project, none of the happy couples she brought together, and none of Valentine after meeting his love, she was happy he learned the meaning of true love but it's ashame she didn't get to see it.

She frowns at all the pictures she has here at Ever After, she loves these memories but none of them are..it, she doesn't even have her skeleton wings anymore, she really misses those bones.

She looks up, her mirror and she looks at her reflection but she doesn't see her monster self, she sees her cutesy cherub look. She doesn't hate it, but it doesn't feel like her.

She really wishes she could listen to Catty Noir and not some Taylor Quick album that feels like it has no soul, if Raven heard her think that she'd have her head.

She frowns at her room, she at least has her talk show but she has constantly have to check her words, she can't slip up and say clawsome or bloody, or creeptastic, or mention any of the artists or people she loves truly.

This world shouldn't even be real to her, but it is. People had love trouble but now that all feels fixed, she's not needed anymore so why can't she just go home? She misses the rotting dead smell of Monster High, the cool feeling she got when she was around Abbey, she even misses the dumb, hard classes.

She doesn't know when tears start to fall but they do, she can't stop them but she wishes she could. No one would understand what she's feeling, sure Wonderland was lost for a while but it's not like it's a whole other dimension where she can probably never get back to.

"Cupid?"

She coughs, that's Blondie.

"Cupid are you okay? You don't sound just right in there."

She clears her throat and tries to not sound sobish.

"Yeah, Blondie I'm okay.."

"No you're not! Lying is so not right!"

"..Okay, come on in."

Blondie enters the room and she sees her crying roommate. She frowns she sits on Cupid's bed.

"You don't have to tell me what's wrong..but know you can tell me the truth."

"I'm..I'm homesick."

Blondie cocks an eyebrow.

"Homesick? Well I knew you weren't from Ever After but..I didn't think you felt this bad about it."

She gives Cupid a little side hug, and Cupid puts her head on Blondie's shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm from, very, very far away. I just miss it today because I don't think I'll be able to go back..because of bad weather.."

She adds that last bit hastily, Cupid doesn't think Blondie can handle monsters actually being real.

"Oh..is the weather permanent?"

"Yes, I just miss my home and knowing I can go back really sucks you know?"

Blondie think for a moment.

"Well if you can't go home! I'll bring home to you!"

"What?"

"I'll bring your home to you! Smells, food, the attitude! I'll make it just right for you! I don't want you feeling bad Cupid!"

Cupid smiles a bit, but it's not her usual.

"Blondie..I don't think you'd like my home food, and the smells..uh I think a lot of the girls would faint and poor Daring would have to work way overtime."

Blondie frowns.

"Cupid I don't care if I don't eat it! I care if it's just right for YOU! It's YOUR home. I'll do it just in our room if it's that..stinky! It might not be just right for me, but it is for you."

Cupid tears up a bit, even if it the same smell and food..it won't tatse or smell the same, the dead here doesn't smell like Monster High dead and the eyeball soup might be really, really old..

"Blondie. I appreciate it but it won't be the same."

Blondie hugs Cupid close again.

"Would..talking about home feel better?"

"Maybe just some words."

"What words then?"

"Monstrous, bootiful, clawsome, voltagious, fangtastic.."

Blondie giggles.

"Sorry, just..they sound so spooky."

"My home IS spooky, the same way Wonderland is so wondrous."

"I think I'd like to visit your home one day, Cupid."

"Even if you could visit..I don't know if you'd be in for the shocks."
