okokay so urmq this might be a teeny bit inaccurate bc im braindead and experiencing brainrot

jason peter todd is batmans (bruce waynes) second robin, he was born to the family of a an abusive father and a drug addicted mother. bruce originally found him after he discovered jason removing the wheels of the batmobile. he takes him in and eventually adopts him after dick grayson (the original robin) got more emotionally away from bruce and moved to bludhaven jason was only 15 when bruce took him in and he became robin, but around a year later (jason was 16) he was captured by the joker

theres multiple ways jason is eventually changed to the red hood

jason is taken to a warehouse by the joker and is beaten to a bloody pulp with a crowbar, and by the time bruce gets there, the entire warehouse blows up (it was rigged with bombs).

similar to the first one, in btas (batman the animated series) jason is in a similar situation but he doesnt get blown up by the bombs, bruce saves the joker before jason accidentally set off another bomb and bruce believed he died—instead, he got away by a massive balloon (💀) and flew to safety

he was captured and tortured by the inmates of arkham asylum. joker is the main one of his perpetrators, but hes also the one that breaks jasons mind and molds it into the arkham knight.

but i remember why i'm here. to better myself, to have a future. to study and learn. i was an academic once. now i'm in the worst case of gifted kid burnout i've ever seen and living on survival mode. it's weird, sitting with friends. i wonder if they really are my friends. i feel like a burden to them. it's the constant guilt of being driven around, of having them pay for me and me not being able to repay cause my job's company still hasn't approved my i9. it sucks. it feels like it's me against the world. because it used to be once.

i don't know what else to say/write so i'm going to end here and probably go for my second nap of the day (it's 10:45 am as i write this.) and then see about hanging out with my friends. if they want to.
