Decided to put my insane ramblings in the readmore because, man, I have some thoughts and I don't want my tags to look like a bloated monstrosity.

First of course I have to praise this wonderful work. The customization is astounding but what I really enjoyed was the flavor dialogue. Sometimes it's subtle but it flows so naturally that it really makes you feel that you have a person as an MC. The world and characters feel real and alive and like they've got their own thing going on. Also the EXTREME PARANOIA I get reading dialogue or looking at answers to asks is fun in a masochistic way. What are the lies? The truths? Who knows! All I know is I'm going to have a mental freak out by the end of it and I'll be thankful for the ride.

Anyway, back to my precious fae(ry) boy, too good for this world (maybe. Backstory still pending). Surely being a trusting bleeding heart will not backfire at all in the apocalyptic game of Amoung Us. Honestly the characters are all so good so I can only imagine that I'm going to scream no matter who ends up being the traitor (side eyes Merlin). At least he'll always have his trusty iron lamp and Audrey III! No, he isn't a masochist why do you ask?

Anyway, Silas Laeratin. Changeling. Taken from an abusive home and placed in the care of a loving if aging couple. I headcanon this is where he decided to be a paramedic, taking care of these people who loved him despite his weirdness and scars until their end. He wants to help people like he was helped. He wants to be human and if he stops helping, stops being near them maybe he'll forget what that means. Smoking and sleeping help dampen that worry. Reminds him of "home".

Also lucid dreaming because that sounds like a massively fae skill. Buzzing around dreams. Wish we could drag the others in front of Arthur in the dream for a Royal Vibe Check but alas. Hard way it is. Also poor Arthur man. Silas just wants to go into the dream so he can talk and hangout with the poor guy. Seems like he can use some company that isn't an unknowable horror.

Adrian is his gardening and fencing friend! Partners in nerdism and carnivorous plant propaganda. It's so fun teasing him. No crush but man is it enjoyable to see this man flustered. I think Silas would like to say outlandish things to get this man to smile. Also tease him with tongue twisters and riddles. I apologize for all the times he's going to have to potato sack Silas away from suicidally trying to help someone. Or sleeping with Merlin which is probably what he's going to do if offered in Chapter 3. The side eye Silas is going to get will be legendary. Sorry Adrian. Not my fault Merlin is stupid hot and also funny.

About The Doppel

The Doppelganger is just a doppelganger from That's Not My Neighbor. Pronouns it/its. it has taken the forms of several humans, sometimes successfully. Some of the less successful ones include, but aren't limited to Arthur with his eyes sewn shut and Snail Mia. It still likes the Snail Mia form the most.

Notable relationships:

Steven Rudboys: some of the first run-ins of the blog are with him. Him and the Doppel are mutually terrified of each other; Steven called the DDD on the Doppel, resulting in it turning into a pigeon.

Nacha Mikaelys: She's under the Doppel's protection and has its undying loyalty. Unfortunately, it expresses that by being bloodthirsty at basically anyone who wronged Nacha. They have the dynamic of a vicious attack dog and its handler trying to avoid casualties.

Smiles the clown: A friend to the Doppel. He's a doppelganger as well, though he's usually harmless - but he has the same dynamic with Nacha as the Doppel.

Lemon tree merchant: started out as a joke character, but it's a key player in the story now. He sells lemon trees that grow clones of humans.

THE CLOWN LORE

Smiles the clown (canonically) delivers flyers that talk about a gambling clown that appears in people's dreams

Chuckles the clown is the one who actually appears in people's dreams; he is very supernatural.

His victims keep losing to him in their dreams, waking up more and more hurt, and they eventually die.

My new character, the Shadowy Weirdo (name pending) will eventually become a character. Their ultimate goal is to win a game against Chuckles.

When Paul needs to blow off steam he goes to a club, he finds a pretty girl, buys her a couple of drinks and then fucks her in the bathroom.  It works, it gets rid of the excess energy that burns up inside of him, it gets him out of his head and the only thing he thinks about is chasing that feeling. The euphoria that comes with the high.

Before that he pre-games, does a couple of lines off the glass coffee table in his apartment. It’s a new batch, something his dealer cooked up, it’s supposed to be a better high.  He feels it after the first line, it spreads through his body heightening his senses. His skin feels electric, a familiar tingle that vibrates through him. He thinks of you, of the way your body felt pressed against his at the Arthur Munson’s party. Your wrists pinned above your head, his palm clasped over your mouth as he thrust his knee between your legs. He’d wanted to go further, wanted to hike that dress up your hips and remind you that you were his. Only his.

He could feel his heart palpitating in his chest. It was like this sometimes when he took a little too much. There was a second line on the table, he couldn’t seem to help himself. He snorted that one too, rubbing the back of his hand across his nose to wipe away the residue. He could hear Kevin, his wingman, clattering around in the bathroom, probably doing his own lines so he didn’t have to share his stash. He usually had a couple of pills on him, Paul would try and bum one or two off him when he came out.

They’d been partying together ever since before Kevin met Meredith…

Meredith who had turned up at the hospital, who was probably still there holding your hand. He didn’t know how bad it was no one would tell him. They’d closed ranks around you in the aftermath, he’d sensed the fury simmering underneath them all despite the fact it had been an accident, one that you’d caused. You’d gotten in his line of fire, a shadow in the dust cloud that had exploded through the wall. He’d already fired by the time he saw the vest, he’d managed to stop himself from pulling the trigger a third time but by that point the damage was already done. You were down, struggling to breathe, your lips turning blue before you passed out.

He thought he’d killed you in that moment and instead of guilt he’d felt relief. Relief that you wouldn’t go running your mouth off to your Captain, relief that this thing that burned inside of him every time he saw you, would eventually be extinguished, that it would die with you.

You hadn’t died and neither had it…

In fact, it was worse now. It was like a forest fire, eating him up inside, stealing away his functionality because as usual somehow you made everything worse. Now he was suspended pending investigation, he knew his blood test would pop positive. He’d done a bump before he was called out to the raid, something to tide him over after what had gone down at the party. He’d still been keyed up after that, the adrenaline, the frustration ratcheting through his system at the thought of being that close to having you, of being interrupted before he could take you the way he wanted. It would have changed everything he thought. In that moment he’d wanted to watch the fight drain out of you, he’d wanted to see that resolve break, wanted to see the exact moment that you realised you were his.

More than anything he wanted to see it again. He wanted to breathe in that fear, chase his pleasure, look into your eyes as he took everything from you, the same way you were trying to take everything from him.

His plans were changing, evolving. He didn’t want to go to the club anymore. Instead he wanted to find you, to finish what he’d started, if it ended in a bullet, it ended in a bullet. At least you’d both know he owned you.

He felt that heat rush through him, it seared through his synapses drowning out everything else. At first, he thought it was desire, the first flush as his cock stirred in his jeans but then he started to sweat, he could feel it soaking through his shirt as his heart began to beat manically against his rib cage. His hands started to shake, he looked at them as the fingertips trembled, holding them up too his face before his stomach heaved and he vomited on the floor.

It took him a second to realise what was happening. He’d taken too much. The euphoria was draining away and instead he was filled with an intense sense of anxiety. He tried to shout for Kevin, but words died in his throat, instead coming out like a wheeze as the pressure in his chest increased so greatly it felt like he couldn’t breathe. The world tilted and he found himself slipping sideways until he was lying on the floor his limbs quivering, before he threw up again. He didn’t even have the strength to heave, it simply trailed from his mouth as he twitched.

That was how Paul Russo died, alone and desperate in a pool of his own vomit.

favorite color(s): pastels my beloved ... honestly i kinda feel like a hodgepodge of colours i like, though i err on the side of warm colours + pastels overall.

favorite flavor(s): uhh god, i like seafood flavours (most of them), spicy foods pending on the spice type (like samyang korean noodles are fcking GREAT). otherwise i'm kinda flexible in what flavours i enjoy.

favorite genres: fantasy w/action either sprinkled in or the primary focus. anything focused on mythology or the study of the divine (in terms of monsters / gods) etc etc. comedy and parodies are pretty high up too, but obviously comedy can be rlly hit and miss.

hello! i saw your ad while lurking around tumblr and just wanted to know more about your group and how it works! I’ve never written on a forum before, so I’m a little unsure of how it works

Hi! :D thank you for your interest in Runey Season!

i'd be happy to explain how forum RP works :] or at least how it works for us! Let me put this under a readmore since I'd like to make it a full walkthrough on how the forum works from start to finish with picture examples.

STEP 1: SETUP.

This involves signing up with us by reserving a character you're interested in through sending an ask to the blog here! (For existing members looking to multimuse, I also accept DMs on the forum & Discord messages from people in the Optional Server.)

Once a character is reserved, then you make an account on the forum.

That's through the "Register" button on the top bar!

This requires:

An email address

A password

A name (this will be your character's name!)

A birthday (preferably, your character's birthday so that it shows up on our event calendar!)

It also asks for a username! Plenty of members just use their character name, some (our Kyle, Arthur, Felicity, & Lynette) used their tumblr URLs, some people think something up (ex. princesspoint for Frey, clumsymaidenofmusic for Lily)... It doesn't matter what you put! The username is pretty much solely used for tagging purposes.

Once you're signed up, I'll get a notification that we have a new member pending approval! Once I see who it is, I'll approve you for posting right away; this is just in place to prevent botting, since I've seen forums with open member / posting freedom get overrun by bots. </3

STEP 2: SETUP AGAIN (ON THE FORUM THIS TIME)

Once your account is approved & you're allowed into your account, you'll have access to your profile! This is accessible from the button second to the right on the top bar.

The "Edit Profile" menu has several tab options, with the most important ones being "Avatar," "Personal," & "Privacy." (Some of the tabs shown below are likely unavailable to non-me members, as this is an admin account.)

The "Avatar" tab lets you change your profile picture! As you can see, Admin Wooly's is currently the piece I drew for the group's opening last year. For this, you can upload a picture directly to use!

The "Personal" tab includes options for changing your Display Name, Mini Icon (selectable from one of our many custom emojis), latest status, location, & signature, amongst a few others. The Signature includes a sidebar for inserting one of our many custom emojis, otherwise it uses BBCode, which we have a tutorial thread for!

The "Privacy" tab is for changing, well, privacy settings! Things like permanently setting your status to "Invisible" so that no one other than the admin account can see whenever you're online, hiding your email from everyone, etc.

Once you're done setting things up, we recommend making a post on the "OOC Chat" board to introduce yourself to everyone, but it's not required at all!

STEP 3: ACTUALLY GETTING INTO RPING

So you've set up your account, fixed up your profile, optionally introduced yourself, and you'd like to dive into things. Where do you begin?

First and foremost, forum RP is... I think I would best describe it as relatively similar to Tumblr RP, if you know anything about that. If not, it's no worries! We have plenty of members who were new to this kind of structuring. (Admin's only RP experience is Twitter and a small smidge of Discord, for example. And we have several members who've never RPed at all, let alone on a forum!) What I mean by this comparison is just that it tends to offer the same kind of customisation that Tumblr does regarding lengthy posting limits & formatting capabilities. Except we get signatures. Which is an excellent bonus.

Okay, diving in to how to navigate the forum...

When interacting with others, you're welcome to post your own threads in the Open RP board or reply to any other threads posted there using either the Create Thread button or the Quick Reply / Reply functions, depending on whether you'd like to join a thread or create a new one!

You can also post in the Plotting board if you'd like to run something by others before you post it, or if you want to reach out to plan out a closed thread with someone.

(For an example of this, here's that AMNESIA thread by Frey.)

As the pictures show with those little icons that say "New!" on them, each board will notify you if there's been any new postings in it since the last time you viewed it, in case you ever want to check anything out!

We also have the Recently Updated Threads sidebar on the home page. This applies to any threads, so it'll list ones that may not be generally accessible (ex. anything in the Questions & Suggestions board isn't available to anyone not logged in, as we have the Discord link available there, & occasionally my admin-only test threads will pop up), but it's a generally very handy resource for seeing what just got updated if you're looking for a response! Or a thread you might be interested in jumping into!

When you do want to post something, we have two options for doing so: the "Quick Reply" function for replying to existing threads, & the full Create-a-Post window, which can be used both for creating threads & for replying to existing ones.

The "Quick Reply" option is found at the bottom of an existing thread page; it types things out quickly using raw BBCode formatting view!

As shown here, there are a handful of different font face & size options, colour changes, bold, italics, underlines, strikethroughs, sub/superscript, alignment, grids, lists, link & image insertions... etc.

The :) face button is for our emojis, of which we have plenty! I update our custom emoji + sticker list often. The gradient-styled button next to it is for colour smear, which is our plugin for adding text gradients. This button does NOT work in Quick Reply, for some reason...? The little shushing icon at the end is the Spoiler button, for hiding text!

Clicking the "Reply" button on the right side of the Quick Reply bar takes you to the full Create Post window, which offers options for both raw BBCode & Preview windows.

(The Colour Smear button DOES work here.) This post window can be used to check how the BBCode formatting applied to your text will look, & is available both for replies and for creating new threads!

On that note, the "Create Thread" button that takes you to this post window is available at the far right of a board bar!

When making a new thread, we currently have two available formatting labels for the Open RP board: Forum-style & In Person. These can be added by clicking the gear on the top right of the Create Thread bar next to the "Add Attachment" button, going to Labels, & selecting one of the two!

(The scales under the "Subject" listing are actually a working button, btw! That's the title formatting button; you can change the styling & colour of your thread title using it.)

"Forum-style" is for any interactions conducted as if they're online interactions On A Forum, using the forum setting! I think the fun of these kinds of RP mediums is being able to take advantage of them and how they are in full, even if it doesn't make a lot of sense within canon, so it's an option. A good example of this would be Pia's Bathhouse Survey thread!

"In person" is for any interaction that would be conducted through face-to-face interaction. These are most commonly written out in paragraph style, but any writing formatting is accepted (para, action brackets, dialogue-based, asterisks....) & no one cares about matching length, so there are no pressures regarding writing super long or detailed replies.

We've also discussed the idea of adding a third option (Shortform), but I haven't implemented it yet because I'm still trying to explore my options for providing a shortform writing option for quicker in-person interactions first, especially for future event plans.

For the Closed RP board, as those are plotted out interactions and those tend to lean in-person, we at this time have no labels to apply there! Though thinking on it... a planned-out longterm forum-style interaction would be very funny and I would love to see it happen.

Basically: anything goes regarding writing style, & we have options for in-person interactions and interactions that make use of the forum setting!

I hope that explanation is an in-depth enough walkthrough of Runey Season & how forum RP operates for us! How many works do you have on AO3? There are 27 posted fics associated with me and two that were co-written with another fan that I've left in their credit/name. One remains in WIP status - Down On His Luck - because I'm still writing the draft. My rule (now) is that I don't start posting a fic until I've finished the draft and/or started typing it up, so the other "WIP" ones are unofficial. And numerous.

2. What is your AO3 wordcount? 576,399 words, of which 392,723 belong to a single work

3. What fandoms do you write for? Red Dead Redemption/Red Dead Redemption 2; I fixate on specific fandoms, but have written for many others over the years.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? A Sinful Mercy - 832 Patient Obsession - 197 Endearments - 158 Beauty and the Beholder - 155 Treasures Unseen - 140

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! Eventually! When posting ASM, my rule was to catch up on comments prior to posting the next chapter. That rule sort of holds true to this date, but with regards to needing to clear out comments before posting a new fic. However, my job is mentally exhausting and I've fallen behind to the tune of 77 comments pending a response. Imma get there, I promise!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't really do angsty endings; as a Hurt/Comfort specialist, the comfort usually dominates the ending. However, being that it's an in-progress fic series, Cold Coffee & Empty Coffers counts for this one.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Presumption of Debt for shippy romantic endings; it's a very rough ending, but I wanted to outline a little bit of the good that came to the gents in it. Treasures Unseen for genfic (and the idea of Arthur sneaking two kittens into the gang).

8. Do you get hate on fics? No. I've been questioned on why I write certain themes, but no hate. Rumour is that I'm terrifying or have a terrifying reputation of punching people? C'mon, guys, it's been years since I last punched anyone's lights out.

9. Do you write smut? If so, which kind? Yeah. I'm one of them sex-positive asexuals and have my share of smut - though only a few have been posted. Vanilla ain't my thing; control, bondage themes, dom/sub undertones, and usually explicit. The Amoral Confessions stories rely more on vague references than explicit content.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest crossover you’ve ever written? Once upon a time, I crossed Weiß Kreuz with Yami no Matsuei? Generally don't do crossovers so much as AUs. I love AUs.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Uhhhhh, probably. I've had actual non-fandom writing stolen though and I went scorched earth on the perpetrator.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I'm amenable to it, but nothing since my current penname came into effect.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yeah! I find it fun to co-write because you get multiple perspectives and possible plotlines. When I wrote professionally, I worked with a co-author on 80%+ of my projects. They tended to provide foundations and world building, I found ways to carry the story forwards and add layers to the plot.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? Morston. The aggressive dynamic of sass and badass is my weakness; the fact that there's no damsel in distress and a lot of emotionally stunted stupidity makes it... /chef's kiss

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? My professional novel manuscripts. I lost my interest, intent, and motivation to make it professionally after a series of, well. Unfortunate events rofl.

16. What are your writing strengths? Character voices and natures that carry through the narrative, sounding like they could've been drawn from canon. Being able to write a long, convoluted plotline without dropping threads. Having an endless fountain of ideas (I have TWO boxes of just ideas on index cards and they are both full).

17. What are your writing weaknesses? What in the hell is an outline and why would I ever do one. I trust my instincts to guide me through a story. Invariably, I will end up with a tangled deadend if I try to pre-plan too much of the story. When I just let my mind and words flow, everything sorts itself out.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic Flavourful bits work out, but I think it's too onerous for the writer and reader to have to translate everything being said. Nicknames, curses, and common phrases that the character themselves used in canon are what I turn to.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Sailormoon, circa 1997. No, none of that has survived.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? A Sinful Mercy; this was the first long-form writing I'd done after the clusterfuck that saw me retire my authorial career. After years of nothing, being able to write and post that really helped my confidence. It also reminded me that writing can and should be a joy. I'm never happier than when I'm writing.

In The Moment; the first chapter highlights a lot of tension and expectation. It was my "John's back with the gang after a year away" contribution and I will never not love the way I wrote him encountering Arthur and the lead-up to the near execution.

Overview:

Aleph is an archangel, who are born from the ideas, dreams, and desires of mankind. As an archangel, Aleph represents the concept of conquest. As such, he has conquered countless realities in the multiverse.

Background:

Long ago, Aleph leads a troupe of archangels alongside his lover, Morgante. Together they subjected countless realities to their dance of conflict. And through this dance, a new archangel was born. From Conquest and Rebellion, Strife was born. Aleph and Morgante named him Mordread and raised him as their son.

For a long time, they enacted the cycle of conflict on unsuspecting worlds. Unfortunately, Mordread stood against his father and Aleph slayed him for it. This fractured Aleph’s troupe of archangels and lead to Morgante’s betrayal.

Morgante trapped her former lover in a backwater reality known as New Wirral. There he spent an untold amount of time searching for a way out.

On New Wirral, Aleph gathered a new team of archangels also trapped within New Wirral to help him escape. This led to Aleph confronted by seven heroes who finally defeated him. Yet, to kill an archangel is to kill the very idea that birthed them. So, for as long as there are humans to kill each other, Aleph will return in one form or another.

VERSES:

Main Verse: Post Cassette Beasts. Aleph has been reborn after his defeat at the hands of the heroes of the game. Note: In canon it would be unlikely that the being who is reborn from Aleph’s core concept would not be Aleph, but this is more fun.

The California State Capitol Museum is located in Sacramento, California, United States. Shooting in Sacramento leaves a kid injured

A 10-year-old girl was hurt in a shooting Saturday night. According to the police officers, they heard the gunshots before finding the victim. While on the scene, officers say they heard gunshots and found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. The girl victim was taken to an area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
