❛ ☾ ◟━ LOCATION: an open house of one of cityscape ventures' property
❛ ☾ ◟━ TIME: late afternoon
❛ ☾ ◟━ STATUS: closed for @axelhughes
The Wades had plenty of investments, that it was a no brainer that their children would be involved in them too. Today, Gwendolyn was tasked with scoping out a potential property that her family was interested in. Seeing that she was already close by, she decided to make a stop and view the open house to gage if it was something worth investing in. While she texted her family's group chat, she could feel a pair of eyes set on her and as she looked up, she was greeted with the face of Axel Hughes. A familiar name to a familiar case and an unfortunate one at that. "Mr. Hughes." she greeted with a nod. "This property must be a hot commodity seeing as you're here. Unless you're the type of business owner that's heavily involved and need to show face?"

wow,  this  place  was  truly  something  else.
lincoln  absolutely  hated  that  there  were  no  women  here.  sure,  there  were  nymphs  but,  something  about  them  had  him  worried  that  they'd  cast  something  evil  against  him  for  his  usual  antics.  so  instead,  he  decided  to  go  for  a  little  nighttime  jog  to  help  clear  his  mind.  he'd  have  to  find  himself  a  gym  or  something  because  he  felt  like  he  wasn't  himself  if  he  didn't  have  a  place  to  lift,  throw,  or  toss  something  heavy  around.

Wip Title Game
Tagged by @novantinuum
Rules: Make a new post with the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have WIPs
I am not tagging 50 million people so @extranuts @flaretheskywing @dragonuva @roseetube post some WIP titles cowards
I have several docs that are just meant to be informative that I'm not listing because there's not much to talk about with them, and a TON of unfinished art that is like pre 2022 that will def not get done ever so its been yeeted into my Untouchables folder and also isn't listed here lmao

Introducing the MTB 03 Wireless Earbuds Performance
Tumblr media
MTB 03 Wireless Earbuds: After releasing its luxurious MTB 01 over-ear headphones in 2020, Montblanc is back with more true wireless in-ear headphones. The luxury brand’s evolution is clear, but the market is crowded with great wireless earbuds for less money.
Does Montblanc have enough to keep its core audience interested while luring new fans from Bang & Olufsen, Bowers & Wilkins, and Sony?
Montblanc hired Audeze founder Alex Rosson to help with the MTB 01’s sound profile. This time, Sennheiser enlisted audio legend Axel Grell, who designed many of its most famous headphones. Switzerland deserves praise for knowing when to seek help.
MTB 03 Wireless Earbuds Design
Aluminum charging case (85.45 grams) is flawless and understatedly premium. They used the Montblanc snowcap emblem on the case and earbuds to add subtle “luxury” to a true wireless earbud design, which is difficult. The tiny port for silicon eartips has a mountain-peak star shape. Not many will notice this detail, but luxury brands often neglect it when going tech.
The 6-gram earbuds are made from the same black resin as the Montblanc Meisterstück pen and feature a snowcap emblem and a tiny Montblanc engraved chrome ring. The snowcap detailing stands out in a knowing, appreciative crowd (OK, if you usually turn left getting on a plane), and the case feels good in the hand and should appeal to existing customers.
Montblanc concludes with free charging case engraving. You can put 13 characters in three fonts.
Generous Features
Montblanc has packed this device with features, though not as many as the Sony WX1000XM5. Wireless charging, ANC, IPX4 water resistance, and touch controls on each emblem for music and calls. The proximity sensors that play and pause when you put the earbuds in are always appreciated.
The buds can last up to six hours depending on ANC use, and the battery lasts 12 hours. This gives you 18 hours of playtime, and USB-C fast charging can add 100 minutes in 15 minutes.
The earbuds are easy to use. As comfortable as any we’ve tried recently. The touch controls are trigger-happy, so it’s easy to accidentally play/pause when adjusting them, but this is typical of true wireless designs. The lack of volume control is confusing. The onboard controls on Apple’s AirPods Pro are my favorite.
If compatible, your smartphone or audio player supports SBS, AAC, and adaptive aptX audio codecs and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity with a 10-meter range. Naturally, Montblanc included active noise cancellation, a must-have feature. ANC can be turned on and off in Travel, Sport, and Office modes. Live mode (transparency) lets you see outside, and you can choose Attention, Environment, or Voice Focus.
The ANC is good but not great for premium business traveler earbuds. It’s functional but lacks Apple, Bose, and Sony’s signature calmness
That the MTB 03 didn’t sound good would be a shame given its price, market, and experts. One of the best true wireless headphones this reviewer has tried, they sound great.
The 7-mm Beryllium drivers stand up well here (20 Hz to 20 kHz), and Alex Grell tuned them just right of neutral. They have a Goldilocks-like balance of low end (a fair and appreciated wallop of bass) and upper end to make all digital recordings shine. There are no surprises, just a rich, enjoyable performance.
Despite its high price and typical audio product launch hyperbole, Alex Grell does not consider the MTB 03 audiophile. He tells WIRED, “It’s a great sounding profile, but it’s not made for audiophiles. The product is for those who want to feel good.
They are often bloated, brand-recognition, price-tag-justifying, data-collection exercises with little value beyond firmware updates. The Montblanc Sound App is pretty, easy to use, and has many features, including a comprehensive EQ with sound profiles for most genres, audiobooks, and podcasts. Adjust each profile to your liking and create your own.
The app is complete and easy to use, but tweaking Axel Grell’s sound profile choices feels like telling 19-time Michelin Star chef Alain Ducasse which knife end to hold. Yes, adding a few hertz for personalization is nice, but after trying all the presets with their genres, the default sounds better. Note that “audiobook/podcast” should be ignored.
The Montblanc MTB 03 are luxury headphones. They are luxurious and designed for executive business-class travelers and Montblanc customers. The company succeeded.
They make music sound great, are comfortable to wear for long periods, and discreetly express their exclusivity.
After teething issues are resolved, loyal brand fans who value the tiny white snowcap emblem’s exclusivity won’t be disappointed.

The times beth heard the c word and how she grew to hate it... along with her immense dislike towards men. (WARNING: I know there are people who strongly dislike the c word, I will be tagging it as vulgarity tw). There will also be few other disturbing scenarios included, so this will be placed under read more. Please read tags before proceeding to read at your own risk, for the sake of your own comfort.
01.     “And that’s all you are! Just another selfish, gold-digging cunt!”  His words slurred, it was painfully obvious that dear father made a pit stop by the corner bar before coming home. How funny... he thinks he’s all the money. But he forgets that Beth’s mother is just as rich, five times richer actually,  thanks to her side of the family-- and their family business being successful and continues to thrive. ‘He’s the gold-digging cunt here...’  the fifteen years old Beth thinks darkly as her jaw clenches, and her fingers are digging around the edge of the door. The others around the doorknob. Just before she pulls back in quickly and quietly closes it when she hears footsteps. They were too gentle to belong to father.
"Elizabeth?”  Her mother’s voice sounded so weary. So exhausted. It made Beth angrier... mother deserved better. Her breath trembles as she sat on the bed, arms wrapped around her knees that she hugged tightly to her chest. Chin and mouth hidden behind her knees. A hand’s clutching her other wrist, nails digging against skin. She wants to run out, scream at her father and throw things at him. But the heavy sigh from her mother propels her off the bed. But not to do what she was visualizing herself do. (Not that she could anyway, he was most likely long gone by now... out for more drinks, or fuck some unfortunate woman.) Instead, it’s to yank the door open and throw her arms around her mother, into a tight hug. Tears fall as she weeps quietly. “You deserve better, Mom.” Her voice is hoarse whisper.
02.      Gross. Absolutely despicable. The seventeen years old Beth shudders faintly, and nausea churns in her stomach. She doesn’t know why she ever agreed to try ‘dating’ this guy. Maybe it’s because she had found him to be an admirable friend at first. But the more he pushed, the more she realized she had been deceived. Unfortunately, the young male seems to take the shudder from Beth as the fact she LIKED the advances. The touches lingering along her sides under her shirt and his mouth moving onto her neck. He’s starting to cross the line. It was supposed to be just a testing kiss and that’s it. She gives a gentle push against his chest and a weak ‘stop’ comes out. He doesn’t. Again, she pushes harder and her voice becomes louder, STOP. He pushes back, beginning to crowd her against the wall-- then Beth snaps, anger flooding her and she uses everything she has within her smaller body, “I SAID FUCKING STOP!”  Fortunately, her bestfriend Whitney had caught everything and decided to intervene just at the right timing, pulling the guy off of her.  “What the fuck is wrong with you, Byron?! You heard her! Which part of stop do you not fucking understand?!”  Whit’s standing in between her and the male who was visibly angry and annoyed he was interrupted. Beth feels safe again somewhat, but her hands are balled into fists. They’re trembling from the incandescent anger.
“Tch whatever, you cunts can go fuck yourselves.”   Byron scoffed, waving them off and stalked off angrily. Beth could’ve sworn she saw red in her vision just then, being reminded of her drunken, deadbeat father. That night at the party, was also the night she officially realized she’s actually a lesbian. Hence the testing kiss. Beth doesn’t even feel bad she used Byron as a test subject to verify her sexuality. Byron can go fuck himself for all she cares.
03.       A part of her is regretting in agreeing to accept Axelle’s invitation to Slovakia-- she’s just fuming as she pushes through on the moving train, making her way through the crowded bar cabin and Whitney in tow.  “I fucking hate that word. ‘Oh you stupid American cunt.’ I fucking lost my temper.”   Of course, she doesn’t need to tell Whitney. She already knows. She’s been there, and seen how it affects Beth. Her friend’s just listening and trying to comfort as they weaved through the crowd. Yet... Whitney doesn’t really know the whole story of how her dislike for the word began. She doesn’t really know how horrendous the verbal abuse her father gave was. Beth never could bring herself to talk about that pathetic, sorry son of a bitch. Especially not after he just up and left with some blonde bimbo who’s had one too many plastic surgeries. She’s just happy he’d never get his hands on her mother’s money or her money. He doesn’t deserve a single cent, and he’ll be broke long before he knows it-- then when he comes crawling back on his knees and begging for mercy, Beth will be there to spit in his face and show him the door.
04.         She doesn’t know how she managed to pull through the traumatic moment of being bound to a chair by iron shackles, beaten around by some disgusting pervert who clearly had issues with his wife-- who looked just like her, according to him. He was going to kill her, and she couldn’t have that. So, she stomached it and pretended to be accepting. To let him think he can fuck her. That she liked it. God, she wanted to fucking vomit. But she really didn’t have a choice here. She’s going to survive and that’s that. And she did. She managed to turn the tables and had him pinned to the chair, garden shears in her hand. Ready to cut his fucking dick off. They eventually came in, as she had assumed. The scumbags who were the masterminds behind the whole sick scenario. She demanded to be released, but of course it came with a price... luckily, she had more than enough money in the whole world to buy her freedom. She even willingly agreed to sign the contract to work for the Elite Hunting Club. That was a pro for her, to become the executioner of monsters. She could get her revenge on Axelle.
“They’re still gonna kill you, you stupid fucking cunt.”   The pitiful excuse of a man spat out, and Beth bristled. The mental picture of her father, Byron and every other man that has insulted her flooded her mind’s eye. It provokes a rage that she had kept buried for some time, it returned tenfold. However, she manages to keep her cool and turned her darkened gaze on Stuart. Her voice is eerily calm, with an undertone of trembling fury,  “What did you say to me?”  Stuart leveled his stare with hers, pretty impressive considering his dick was nestled uncomfortably right in between the blades of the garden shears. “You. Stupid. FUCKING. CUN--”   The last word was cut off into a deafening scream as Beth snapped. No more. No more playing nice. From this point and on, she was going to make whoever calls her that word again, suffer.

Näher | Pt.02
Walter x Female Reader (Nicknamed ‘Hase’) Mob AU! Rating: Mature (Minors DNI) Word Count: 2048 Warnings: Smut. Pussy eating, fingering, cum eating, cum play.  Pt.01
“I’ll ask you again, do you want power, little hure?”
“I need to think about it.” My body betrays me, and I let out a little moan when he continues to stuff my pussy with his cum.
“You need to think... it’s okay. I know it’s a hard decision to make.” he says as he brings me close to his chest, my head laying there. It’s a surprisingly tender moment, he tangles his fingers in my hair as he peppers soft kisses on my forehead. He slowly takes the two fingers from inside me, placing them in front of my lips, a silent offer for me to suck them clean, one I take without thinking twice. He kisses me after I cleaned his fingers and I see the biggest smile I have ever seen him let out.
After this little moment we shared he helped me get dressed again, brushed my hair with a brush he had on one of his drawers and insisted one of his guys had to take me home, even with me telling him I could catch uber.
“You have Axel’s number, whatever your answer is, make sure to call him to let me know. But just know I look forward to seeing you again.” he finishes with a kiss and let’s me get inside the car.
I’m thankful this little rendezvous happened on a friday, so I can sleep in and gather my thoughts.
I woke up to a dream where I’m with Walter again, his lips all over my body, his hands in all the right places... I think my subconscious is trying to tell me something.
I’m not going to lie, I’m very tempted into accepting his offer. It’s not like I need the money, I have a good post in a nice company that lets me lead a very comfortable life and... and... well, my life is boring. I barely have time for myself, I can’t even go out and have fun anymore because I’m either staying late at work or all my energy is drained. I haven’t had a good fuck in like two years at least and Walter was able to ruin me for everyone else, man or woman, in one night. Imagine it being a constant.
It’s 10am and I decide to call Junior. I need to know what they do exactly before I turn my life upside down and get into this. He answers after the third ring, his voice all groggy from sleep.
“Mein Hase, what’s wrong? Are you okay? Do you need any help?”
“Hey dipshit. Were you still sleeping? Dude it’s 10am already!”
“Well, I had a busy night okay.” I could feel the smirk growing on his face.
“Yeah, the ’hottest chick’ right? Look, I need to talk to you, ask you some stuff and it needs to be in person. Can you come over?”
He sighs before answering me. “Yeah Hase. Give me about forty minutes to get ready and I’ll be there.”
In exact forty-five minutes I heard a knocking on my door and I open to see Axel standing there, a sleepy look on his face. I offer him coffee and breakfast, which he happily accepts.
We sit by the living room’s centre table and I take my time to start questioning him.
“Look, I know we haven’t seen each other in ages, but you do understand you have a big space in my heart, right?”
“Mhm, and you have in mine too.”
“Good! So... I’ll ask you a few things and I want you to be honest with me, please tell me the truth. You know I would never rat on you to anyone. And I’ll tell you why I’m asking all of this when this is over, okay?”
“I think I already got an idea why...”
“Okay, Axel? Do you agree with my terms?” I cut him a bit harshly.
“Yes, Hase. You know I’d anything for you.”
“Okay...” I take a deep breath and start again “That day we met on the market, was our run in casual or did it happen on purpose?”
“On purpose.”
“Why?”
“Well, I’ve missed you and didn’t know how to get in touch with you...”
I look up to him with a ‘what’s wrong with you’ look in my face and move on.
“How did you know I went to that market? Have you been following me?
“What?! No!”
“Axel, please be honest with me.”
“Hase, look... I live on that building across from you. That window with the Simpsons sticker? That’s mine. I’ve been living there for two years now, you can ask the door man if you want to. I’m not stalking you, I promise.” he answers me a little bit panicked.
“Hey, hey... I’m sorry I was harsh with you. And I trust you, okay?”
“I know it seems a little suspicious. But I just saw you on the day you moved in, I was getting off the building to run some errands and I saw you unloading your stuff and when I got back I saw we were window neighbours.  As to the market thing, again, I didn’t stalk you, but you have your habits and we’ve almost run into each other a few times before and they were always on the same day of the week, at the same time. You really need to get a life, baby.”
“Wow, thanks for the call out. And why were all the guys there with you?”
“My hype squad.” We both laugh at his answer. “I haven’t seen you in so long, I thought you had forgotten about me and I didn’t want to make a fool out of myself, so they were there to hype me up.”
“Why is that something I can totally picture on doing?” I pause for a moment to gather some guts before getting into the harder topic.
“What... what is it exactly that you, Walter and the guys do? And don’t tell me you run the club because I know the club is a front.”
“You’re really coming for my throat today, huh?” he laughs and continues “Well, the club is a front for money laundry. We deal with a few different things. Weapons, illegal gambling, illegal fights, races. No drugs or anything with people, you know? Walter is extremely against that. We also offer protection to businesses...”
“Why does your silence makes me feel like this is almost a hitman thing?”
“Sort of?” He scratched his head and gives me a quizzical look.
“AXEL! What th—“
“Oh, it’s not like we actually kill people, we just rough them up a bit. Like I said, Walter is pretty specific with the business. Hase, why are you asking me these things?”
“Last night, after you guys left, which by the way, I’m sure that was staged too, but I digress, I was alone with Walter and we... well, we fucked. Like, a lot. Anyway, he asked me if I wanted power, that he could give me power.”
“Ugh, gross I don’t need to know who you fuck.”
“Axel, I’m being serious. C’mon.” I begged him.
“Yeah, I’m sorry. But what did you tell him? Did you accept?”
“No, I told him that I needed to think about it. He agreed to it and said that I should call you to let him know, no matter what I chose. I called you because I needed to know what you guys actually did. Also did Walter ask you to leave me alone with him? He acted like he had it all planned out.”
“You really don’t let shit slide, do you?”
“It’s like you forgot who I am, Axel.”
“Yeah, Ms. Detective. I’ve talked about you to the guys several times before and mentioned that I saw you moving in and that your apartment was directly in front of mine. He came over one day and saw you sitting there, drinking tea, and reading. All he said is that he understood why I talked about you so much.” he finished, a little embarrassed.
“That’s a little –“
“Creepy? Yeah, I get where you come from. Walter is a nice guy, he really is, he just doesn’t know how to connect to people sometimes.” We stayed in silence for a few minutes eating the rest of our breakfast.
“Do you have your answer already?” Axel breaks the silence.
“I had it from the start, I just needed to know how fucked I would be.”
“Could you ask him if we could meet?”
“Is that a yes?”
“Axel!” I groaned.
“Yep, that’s a yes.”
Walter agreed to meet me and had Junior take me to where he lived. His mansion was located on the outskirts of the city, the kind of neighbourhood only millionaires lived on. Not going to lie, I felt like I was in one of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians episodes. A huge white and grey neoclassical hour, tall and imponent like it’s owner. Big green front yard, a garden of white roses, a beautiful Venus di Botticelli water fountain. Axel took me to the backyard saying Walter was waiting for me by the pool.
He indeed was there, all glorious under a sunshade, black rayban’s covering his eyes and black swimming shorts hugging his waist. He sat by a table full of different kinds of breakfast foods and fruits. Axel announced my arrival and before he left, Walter asked “Junior, could you please ask Freida to bring lovely Hase a bathing suit?” Axel nodded and left us alone.
“Come on, sit. Do you want to eat anything?”
I sat by his right side and grabbed a few grapes. “What do I get from this? Will I be exclusive pocket pussy in exchange for money? Someone to sit pretty by your side while you command everyone or what?”
“You think too low of yourself. I offered you power. I have four of the best men in the world as my partners, but I need something better. Women are usually more detail oriented, I need new eyes, new visions.” Freida’s arrival interrupted us.
“Good afternoon, miss.”
“Good morning, darling. I won’t keep you long, I think this will do.” I chose a black one piece with cut outs that I was sure would make my boobs look incredible.
“There’s a restroom room in there, go and change.” Walter said after I chose and Freida left. I did as he said and when I came back, I went straight to pool.
“C’mon Walter, join me, please. We need to finish talking.” He obeyed me, leaving his sunglasses on the table.
He cornered me by the pool’s end, his big hand brushing away the wet hair strands of my face. He continued “As I was saying, I need new eyes, I need someone I can trust. And fucking you whenever I want wouldn’t be so bad either.” His face was so close to mine I could feel his breath on my lips. I smiled at him, looking at his lips and then up to his eyes.
“How do you know I’m so trustworthy? Or if I’m actually that?”
“Axel always gushes about your little business during high school and what you took out of it, I think you’ll do just fine.” His thumb caresses my cheek. “So, what do you say?”
“Yes.” My arms snakes around his neck and I kiss him. He deepens the kiss and lifts me up to the ledge of the pool.
“Lay down a bit.” He commands while he slides the back of his index finger of my clothed slit. I did as he said and he immediately attached his lips on my clit, sucking and fingering me at the same time.
“Walter, fuck… what if someone sees us?” I ask him between moans.
“They know better than to come here.”
He kept his ministrations, increasing the speed of his fingering and never detaching his lips from my clit. It was too much at the same time and I squirted when I came.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry. That never happened before.” I told him, panicking a little bit. He brought my lips to his, kissed me tenderly and said “Oh, we’re going to have so much fun, my little hase.”

Two of Us: livestream reaction post
Livestream HERE
I’m writing down things as I hear the livestream. Overall I loved it, a lot. I thought Louis’ voice was the best it has been since hiatus. It’s confident, well-rested, nicely supported, strong and clear, like the best of his studio recordings. It’s easily one of the best live Louis performances I’ve heard.
• 0:45. It looks like the first chord in the right hand is F-G-C? Then C-E-G (tonic C maj) then C-D-G. You hear the leading inside voice descend F->E->D, a descending scale, which is a musical motif in this song.
Tumblr media
• 1:01: Just to hear the answerphone: a little vocal crack on “answer.” Stage presence tiny bit rigid and nervous. Voice sounds full and clear.
• 1:08: But I’ll leave a message, so I’m no’ alone. The dropped consonant! My dear Louehhhh... Love this so far.
• 1:20: You’ll never know how mouch I miss you. Damn, I love those Yorkshire vowels that come right to the front of the mouth.
• 1:23: The day that they took ya. The slight reverb in the mic sounds really good, a bit of an echo effect. Probably sounds much louder live and amplified, but on video it makes the voice sound warmer and rounder. *Louis voice*: really good.
• 1:27: But you once told me, don’t give up. Thus far the vocals have stayed around a few notes, but here Louis makes the first high leap to F4 (F above middle C). He lands solidly on pitch. Medium difficulty, like a single axel in ice skating. He should land it, and he does. Beautiful. He feels confident. You can hear the high synth strings and the piano open up in arpeggio.
• 1:32: Piano plays an arpeggiated first inversion C major chord, Louis is singing a minor. This is what I meant by the major and minor modes being juxtaposed in the Two of Us analysis. It’s a strangely sad/happy sound and it works.
• 1:37: And diamonds they don’t turn to dust. End of phrase slight pitch adjustment. This tells us that the performance is live and without backing tracks. I’m loving it, Louis.
• 1:42: So I will keep you day and night. Three-part vocal harmony. One male voice above Louis, one below. I’m curious that there are no female voices. It’s a restrained song even though it’s emotional. These voices are like amplifications of Louis’ own inner voice. The top notes are soft. It’s no match for One Direction harmonizing, but it’s good-- rugged and masculine. Adults singing.
• 1:45: I’ll be livin’, one life for the two of us. Louis takes a breath in between the phrases. You see how his lower abdomen is contracting: he’s supporting his voice with his diaphragm. Good habit. I love it.
• 1:50: I will be the best of me. He is overarticulating a little bit. His mouth is wide open internally, to let the vowels resonate, and he’s really articulating the consonants. Very clear diction. Theater training. Old pro.
• 1:55: Even when I’m on my own. Fifth interval leap to G4. Double axel. He lands it like it’s nothing. Doesn’t even need a moment. Spiderman.
Tumblr media
And that drum set! It’s a leap of energy and sound... and lots and lots of words. “Even when I’m on my own/ I know I won’t be alone/ Tattooed on your heart/ (breath) Are the words to your favorite song.” That’s a big breath! I think he sang “your heart” by mistake, but it’s alright. “I know you’ll be looking down/ Swear I’m gonna make you proud/ I’ll be living/ One life for the two of us.” Lots of words, few places to breathe.
• 2:14: Heartbeat percussion. I can feel your blood run through me. Really nice text painting.
• 2:17: You’re written in my DNA-ha. Little breath for emphasis of diction at the end.
• 2:23: I know you’ll be waitin’, I’ll see you again. I think it’s cool that he sings in his Yorkshire accent, because after all, he’s singing to Jay, who also spoke in the same accent. So it would sound intimate to her, the way they spoke at home, not some fancy international recording.
• 2:28: But you once told me. Hands are free, he’s feeling more confident.
• 2:50: Louis is not holding the mic, but his voice is even, meaning that he is steady. He feels confident. So far, the performance is smashing it. 9/10.
• 3:12: I promised you I’d do this. Bridge. Louis has to switch gears; instead of singing step-wise, descending notes like in the chorus, the melody in the bridge jumps up by third and fifth intervals. Sometimes for a quick switch like this, it’s hard to get the pitch just right (this was a problem in BTY live). For the most part, Louis does beautifully here. “All (3) of (5) this (5) is (3) all (2) for (2) you.” “This” is a fifth (5) interval and the highest note, and he’s flat the first time. But he hears it and corrects it, because “Swear to God I’m living” are the exact same notes and he’s completely on pitch. Good work. He has been working on relaxing into the pitch switches, supporting his voice through them, using good breathing, head and neck relaxation techniques, and it pays off. Good job, Helene.
• 3:29: Here until the day I die. Lil pitch change.
• 3:49: Even when I’m on my own. Mic comes off the stand and he’s moving around. Relaxed. In control. Love this. He’s got this.  He sounds great. Feels brave and confident.
• 4:05. In between the Oh’s, Louis looks up to the sky. It’s intense.
• 4:13: And we’ll end just like we started. Louis is keeping it emotional but still very clear, strong, even. His tone is beautiful. The little breaths and hitches at the end of the syllables are his specialty, a lilt into falsetto. They can sound sappy when other people do it, but he controls it. It’s barely there, a natural hitch. He’s good at it. Been doing it since 1D.
• 4:20: “And no one else (no breath) I will hold you where my heart is.” Again, very Yorkshire, flat R’s, very much himself.
• 4:22: One life for the two of us.  Louis sings and swings away. A great and humble performance. He knows it was good. He’s pretty happy!
Overall, I think Louis was at his most relaxed and confident in this live performance compared to any other. I suppose there could have been several takes if necessary? His voice is amazing. He has a high, pure, focused tenor that cuts through a lot of lower frequency sounds, and it’s almost like a countertenor voice in its beauty and purity. It’s natural and gorgeous, vulnerable, open, brave, a rare instrument in male pop vocalists. He doesn’t sound like anyone else. The voice is unique and immediately recognizable.

Due to some scheduling kerfuffles at the station, the July 2, 2018 instalment of The Midway will last longer and start a whole lot earlier! Coming to your receivers from 6AM-10AM MST, tune in for our post-Canada Day extravaganza.
The theme of this episode is a simple one: what is the best Canadian artist/song you’ve discovered in 2018? It can be a new release, or any Canadian that you weren’t previously aware of - regardless of era.

The theme of this episode: a smorgasbord of tunes - food, mood, and gratitude. We’ll also feature some leftovers - songs which listeners recommended for earlier editions of The Midway, but which were not broadcast when received due to time constraints or other impediments. Sharing a feast for the ears.

RADIKAL KUSS aka SUSI VOGEL & DAVID GILLIAN
[ Unknown Pleasures Records / Red Maze Records / NBR:CL / MTKlüb Lüttich,  Bruxelles BEL ]
RADIKAL KUSS_short-bio: RADIKAL KUSS is a highly recommended, as an insider tip traded, Belgo/German Duo for radical electronic music to occupy your dance floor without any mercy: Founded during a studio session 2017 in Berlin by the Belgian producer David Gillain and German vocalist and songwriter Susi Vogel, the real Fusionist-Duo embraces Punk, New Wave, EBM, electronic music and Techno. Activ in slammin Hybrid-DJ/Live sets, their sound assimilates all these different styles and confronts their audience with a huge punch Club floor efficiency. Cracked rhythms, alarming synths, huge basses and erotic tension are the weapons to accomplish their unique RK sound-mission seriously. The release of their manifesto debut album "Der Anfang der Schlacht" on Unknown Pleasures Records June 2018 threw a paving stone into the pond. In 2019 their remix for Adan & Ilse has been justified described by ObscureMag as "moist, sexy and a little vicious" trackwerk. And their collaboration with HIV+ for the Belgian Label Red Maze Record on vinyl was able to convince the specialist critics as well as fans in all matters. The third EP release "Maschinenfabrik" in May 2019 on Nu Body Records with remixes of protagonists from the Belgian Industrial scene like Ethan Fawkes, Son of Chaos, VV303 finally helped the duo to further perception of the scene in positive and appearances beyond the Bruxelles and the Belgian border. Recently releasing their latest album "Laster und Tugend" once again featuring the Spanish HIV+ with 3 bammin' dancefloor killa-tracks has finally manifested their own position as today's most credible representative of Belgian EBM/Industrial influenced Techno culture. And more is definitely up to comme soon!

So., 02.02.
