gods, did he fucking love the library. there was quite literally any piece of literature from the classics to mythological stories and history that gave him no need to venture too far out for valuable information. today's quest was to gather as much information on elven tattooing that he could.
it seemed as though these were powerful imbued magic that could truly help mortal and divine alike to powers that they could simply not fathom otherwise. " how fucking interesting. " ronan mumbled to himself before licking the tip of his finger and turning the page, looking at some of the artistic sketches as he sat on a chair in front of his cabin enjoying the sun while he read.
for a moment, he looked up and spotted the redhaired demigod who he had met in the very quest that offered them half off tattoos. " hey! corey, right? wanna see something interesting? " [ @lovecorey ]

Press Release
Boston, MA ... Three is a magic number in hockey – three periods per game, three rounds of playoffs before the cup, three goals per hat trick, and now a third collaboration between Boston’s favorite black and gold hockey team and Harpoon Brewery. The New England brewery announced today that it is adding a third Massachusetts native to its annual collaboration. B’s defenseman and Charlestown native, Matt Grzelcyk, joins Charlie Coyle (Weymouth native) and Chris Wagner (Walpole native) to brew this season’s limited-edition beer: Hometown Hat Trick.
A team effort brewed up by Wags, Coyle and Grizzy, this Triple Dry-Hopped Pilsner is loaded up with three times the regular amount of dry hops for a full-on hat trick of flavor. The 5.22% ABV beer is the perfect toast to Boston hockey as the team continues its run for the cup. For every case sold, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Corey C. Griffin Foundation, which provides financial support to Boston non-profits focused on underprivileged youth and those with medical challenges.
“I’ve enjoyed my fair share of different kinds of beer but being involved in the brewing process was a whole new experience. Partnering with the Harpoon team has been a bucket list item, and Wags and Coyle have been super helpful showing me the ropes. Plus, it gave us a new way to give back to the community all three of us grew up in,” said Grzelcyk.
Harpoon Hometown Hat Trick is the third and final installment in a line of annual collaboration beers with Massachusetts hockey players, making it fans’ last chance to stock up on ice cold beer brewed by their favorite players on the ice. Harpoon Don’t Poke the Bear – a black and gold-en ale – was first introduced in 2020, followed by Harpoon Don’t Poke the Bears – a black and gold pilsner – in 2021.
“We’ve had so much fun brewing these the last couple years, it only felt right to add Grzelcyk to our growing team of local friends for a hat trick of great beers,” said Dan Kenary, CEO and co-founder of Harpoon Brewery. “Working with local players that have strong ties to New England has been so important to the brewery. We love making good beer with good friends, while also having a positive impact on the community through our charity donations.”
Harpoon Hometown Hat Trick will be available on draft and in 16 oz. 4-packs with a suggested retail price of $13.99. It will be available through the rest of the season at Harpoon’s Boston Beer Hall, Harpoon Taproom and Beer Garden, the TD Garden, and throughout New England where Harpoon beers are distributed. For more information, check out the Harpoon beer finder: https://www.harpoonbrewery.com/beer-finder/.
About the Harpoon Brewery:
The Harpoon Brewery was founded in 1986 by beer lovers who wanted more and better beer options. When the Brewery was founded, Harpoon was issued Brewing Permit #001 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, since it was the first to brew commercially in Boston after a dormant period of about 25 years. Since then, it has expanded to a second brewery in Windsor, VT. Harpoon’s line of craft beer features its award-winning IPA and seasonal beers, along with special limited releases. In 2014, Harpoon became an employee-owned company.

" and why would you ever regret it? " ronan asked cluelessly, not garnering the fact that ronan's particular version of reality often had others perplexed or confused as to how he acted ; as an agent of erudition and logic versus emotion. in some regard, ronan and corey would be polar opposites in how they operated. but nevertheless, it took all types of individuals for society to operate and soon enough, ronan would either learn that or return to his own comfort zone.
" i found a book on elven tattoos, at least i think. " spinning the book around to face corey, he pointed at the example the parchment showed. " says they're quite powerful. even able to help grow innate power in things like strength, intellect, and dexterity. seems like we really lucked out then. "
While Ronan found books in the library, Corinth took to the sky for some much improved flight training. Whatever the situation or mood, that sky was his escape. It felt better to be in the open, above it all, rather than hide away behind walls like he would before this life. He'd rinsed off and changed at the training grounds before returning to the cabins. A tall glass of something sweet, cool and strong was his only want. Fortunately, Eros cabin could deliver upon the simple desire.
By now, even with newcomers, Corey had an easier time passing by others. Including mythical creatures. Blinders on as life here became the new normal. So it was lucky that Ronan called for him, as Cor's mind was preoccupied in his own world. Still, he was kind enough to not make that reality apparent. Putting on his usual, comforting and friendly smile.
"I don't know. Will I regret it?" He teased, however their trip to Los Angeles left him uncertain about what he could expect from the rookie. He took casual steps up the cabin stairs toward him.

Ronan wasn't one to take things to heart. He, himself, hated how tricky emotions seemed to be and so simply decided to forego the messy nature of allowing something as rudimentary as feelings dictate how he operated in the world.
" Probably some dangerous magic, curse-level fascination if we didn't have particular friends that we could deal with and trust. " It was a huge boon for them, if any one of them decided to get a tattoo at least.
" I saw and it's the most cost effective to go big, continue to increase my power at the cheapest rate. What about you? " Ronan hadn't much interest in any others or actively getting a tattoo but it was the payment for such a boon.
"Aw, just joking." Cor wasn't going to let one afternoon dictate their relationship, but currently that interaction was all he had to go off of. Tensions had been high and opinions differed. Had Corey been in Ronan's shoes, new to this, he would hope others would give him another chance. Ronan seemed rather happy, tranquil upon his porch before his blessed cabin. It should lead to a more authentic exchange.
His eyes opened wider once Ronan explained what he had to share. Hm, Cor never would have taken the time to loot through the library for such a text. Or any text. Well, except if he went with his new study partner Dante. "Yeah, this really is fascinating." His dark eyes traced the images Ronan presented, pleasantly spellbound. "And beautiful."
He smiled, thinking of Saviel and how the one (two?) of a kind, elven tattoo artist was taken with him. Lucky, yes, that the attraction was mutual. "So, when the time comes what enhancement would you choose?"
