Some thoughts on the new clip of Digimon Adventure 02 - The Beginning:

- Maurice Ravel’s Bolero is not the first piece of music I’d associate with Digimon but it’s beautifully ominous and therewith fits with the stoically revolving Digimon egg above the Tokyo Tower.

- Thank you, Toei, for incorporating Germany. For a split-second I was confused as to why that part was so familiar until I remembered it was in my own fucking language. The brain simply didn’t expected it in a clip solely in Japanese without any subtitles.

- Love that they branded the TV in the ramen shop with “Moshiba”.

- The new character is properly introduced as being mysterious™ and tragic™.

- THE RAMEN!! I could devour this bowl right there.

 - Miyako’s new hair I have to get used to but her look is on point!

- Daisuke fanning himself behind the ramen counter with his hair pulled upwards is oddly attractive.

- The group picture with Daisuke and V-mon squished is classic hilarious digimon.

- I knew this just from looking at this character: someone who wants to do everything himself and thinks he doesn’t need to rely on a group. It’s probably the fringe.

- The rest of the clip was pretty self-explanatory but the last minute or so after his rescue subtitles would have been really helpful. I really want to know what had the others gasp so much. Was it just the reveal that he was one of the first DigiDestined?
