I am just somehow OBSESSED with Takeru DRIVING. Like is he a bad driver? He speeds past the gang waiting outside of Daisuke's restaurant (or the restaurant where Daisuke works, whatever), so maybe? Is that his mom's car? Or is it his car? Why does he NEED a car? What is he doing that requires him to drive? Is it going to be a plot point in the movie? Is Takeru being a BAD DRIVER going to be a plot point? I need to know.
Ken and Miyako are also visibly startled when Takeru speeds past (Miyako JUMPS!!!!), while Iori and Hikari don't even flinch. What does that say about DYNAMIC?! Are Iori and Hikari more used to Takeru's (presumably bad) driving? That would make sense, no, cause they are (canonically???) closer with him? Just such a small interaction and I can interpret so much and draw so many conclusions!!! How fun!!!
There's just something really so fun about watching characters you've loved your whole life continue to grow - to see new details about them spring up, new traits, new things to add to canon. It's the most delightful thing about the Digimon Adventure franchise to me. Sure, the stories they have told over the last decade have mostly been all various shades of mediocre, but the character moments - goodness, the character moments just don't hit the same in any other media for me. It's so special to me.
ETA: WAIT, looking at the screencap, Iori looks slightly concerned. Only Hikari looks calm (though she does turn her whole body to look at the car once it stops). Does this mean HIKARI is the only one comfortable with his driving? Cause Hikari is closest to him? (I don't even think their closeness is something that is debatable - I feel like it is PRETTY CANON that they are closest with each other???????????)
HERE'S HOW TAKARI CAN STILL WIN.

Don't quote me on this, but since we're getting so much new art, I've been trying to estimate which Chosen Children are most popular on the Japanese side. Which is pretty difficult to estimate, since the art I'm getting to see is most likely fabricated by an algorithm, but I'd love to collect more data on this. So judging by the official and fanart I see, I would say it's most likely to look like this if we JUST take the OG Adventure cast:
Taichi (which shouldn't be any surprise at all, since he is the face of the franchise!)
Mimi & Hikari (the former has been consistently getting 10/10 designs in official art in recent years and the latter's art tags are overflowing everywhere)
Yamato (he's less focused on in regards to official art recently I feel, which is interesting, since he's always had the "secondary MC" status, but he still gets quite the fandom attention)
Koushirou & Jyou (less in official art, but more in terms of VERY passionate fan communities respectively)
Sora (she gets very niche attention in both official and fanart, even though there are some dedicated corners, you just have to look very carefully - and she did get more exposure in official stuff as of late, but it's still not as apparent as with the other girls)
Takeru (he is usually more popular with his older depictions in 02 onwards, but my impression is he is often overshadowed by either Angemon or potential shipping partners)

okay so I’ve been thinking about this for a while but I’ve been wanting to write a list of my first impression on the boys, what I personality I think they’ll have, and my predictions for what musical genre/direction for each bouquet. this can go two ways:
A) im horribly wrong in my predictions and it ages like spoil milk
OR
B) it turns out I’m right about a few things
either way I think it would be a fun thing to do,, but lemme know if you guys are interested in that sort of thing!

Not only thunder roars
Prompt: ”I’m scared.”
-----
Takeru curled up next to Yamato and Yamato put an arm around him.
”I’m scared”, Takeru whispered.
Lightning flashed across the sky, thunder roared. I’m scared too, Yamato wanted to say. But he couldn’t. He needed to be brave, Takeru’s rock. Needed to be a good brother. Or else mom and dad might start fighting again.
”I know it looks scary, but lots of things that look scary aren’t”, he said. ”Like that bug you found yesterday!”
A bug was far from the same thing as lightning though. Another flash crossed the sky and Yamato supressed the need to flinch. Takeru did instead, pressed harder into Yamato’s side. Yamato lifted him into his lap. Part of him wanted to suggest they hid in the wardrobe. He pushed that part as far away as possible.
”Why is the sky angry?” Takeru asked.
Yamato didn’t know. He raked his brain to find what he had done to wrong the sky, but nothing came up.
”Maybe….” he started and tried to think something up on the spot. ”...maybe there’s just been too much work for it lately. Like how it is for dad sometimes.”
Thunder roared again. Takeru gripped Yamato’s shirt and pressed his face against Yamato’s chest. Yamato watched the rain run down the window.
”He’s not angry at us, just very loud”, Yamato said.
He wished he could believe his own words. Takeru seemed to calm down a bit though, the tight grip around Yamato’s shirt loosened. Yamato lifted a hand to his cheek. The bruise had disappeared, but the pain was still fresh in his memory. He swallowed and hugged Takeru.
”He could never be angry at you”, he whispered.
”Is the sky angry at you?” Takeru asked.
Yamato blinked. Shook his head.
”Maybe it is”, he said. ”Maybe it’s angry I’m holding you in here instead of letting you go out and greet it.”
Takeru looked at him. Yamato did his best to grin and Takeru laughed. Settled more comfortable in Yamato’s lap and looked through the window. Yamato did as well, tried to keep the memories of dad’s hand and the pain away. Takeru leaned his head back and looked at Yamato.
”You’ll always protect me when it’s angry, won’t you?”
Yamato wasn’t sure what they were talking about any longer, but he knew one thing. He ruffled Takeru’s hair and gave him another hug.
”I’ll always protect you.”

hello @jubilines and happy holidays! I am your @digisecretsanta! i got your prompt:
Hiya! I love Hikari Yagami and the whole 02 crew, so I'd love to see anything with her or that squad having a good time. Thank you <3
so here are some headcanons for the 02 crew having their own secret santa~
the 02 gang secret santa
The 02 gang always organized a Secret Santa for their annual Christmas party.
The first year was a little bumpy. Daisuke and Miyako picked each other, and were both thoroughly displeased when they both incidentally got each other books from the ‘For Dummies’ series: ‘High school entrance exams for Dummies’ from Miyako and ‘Anger Management for Dummies’ from Daisuke. Both books ended up battered and unreadable after the two started using them to smack each other. Thankfully the other three kids were strong enough to pull the two apart before anyone got a concussion.
That was the year they all learned the word ‘wishlist’.
From then on the exchange gift was fairly straightforward.
Daisuke
Daisuke would be happy with someone to join him ramen shop hopping during the holidays (though he might be just a little bit extra happy when that someone was Hikari.)
On busier years, like the year they were graduating high school, he would be just as satisfied with some letters of encouragement.
He posted some of these on the space above his desk at home, or in his locker at the restaurant where he did his culinary apprenticeship. His favorite letters he kept folded in his wallet and reread them on days he felt down (Based on content alone ie. excluding Hikari, his favorite letters usually came from Takeru, though he would never admit this to his face.)
Miyako
Miyako’s tastes were a little more dynamic but also straightforward. Before college she would be happy with anything tech, from laptop stickers to books on pioneering women in tech.
When her laptop was completely decorated and she discovered college study-abroad programs though, she pivoted her preferences to anything related to travel. Common gifts from this era would be travel pillows or other cute little things to help one travel light, or at least in style (against his better judgment Iori got her a folding umbrella that looked like a samurai sword, as it was specifically requested in her wishlist that year.)
She was also open to anything that was cute or reminded the giver of her. This wildcard option was easiest for Hikari who somehow always knew what she wanted (cute earrings, a portable hard drive, or a gift certificate for her favorite coffee shop) and hardest for Iori who appreciated specific guidelines. Daisuke never had a problem with this because he just didn’t care. One year he got her a ramen splash protector that looked like a dog cone. Miyako got so mad about how stupid it looked, she slapped it on him and made him wear it the whole party.
Iori
Iori was probably the most practical of them all. His wishlist consisted of whatever school supplies of his were running short — or what he anticipated would soon be — and nothing else. This meant notebooks, pen sets, an A4 sized whiteboard (he already had one, but he requested for an extra as a backup.)
In his more extravagant years Iori requested for high school and college entrance test prep books, but specifically used ones, only those they or their siblings already had and utilized for their own applications.
He reasoned annotations and highlights added character. He just didn’t anticipate the level of character he would be receiving. Miyako’s books were yellowed with annotations written in several inks and styles, evidence of having been passed down from the eldest Inoue down to her. (These were similar to the prep books he got from Jyou, though some annotations from the Kido books were blotted by tear stains. One book was also a med school admissions test prep book, which he did not need but accepted with appreciation nonetheless.) Daisuke didn’t have any books to bequeath, while Takeru and Hikari’s used books were their own sort of chaos. Some pages of the harder topics were crumpled or even torn (probably in frustration), and simply taped back with varying levels of care (Iori could never be sure whether the damage was from the older or younger siblings, but he also decided he did not want to know.)
Iori ended up just using Ken’s review books — which were in mint condition with god-tier tips in the margins — but he kept everyone else’s books anyway out of respect.
Takeru
Takeru’s wishlist was mostly consistent every year. He either asked for some fancy notebook or the latest release of his favorite author of the week. The requested genres shuffled every few years or so. He had a non-fiction phase, a sci-fi phase, and for a single year a Russian literature era (this lasted only one year because by the next year he still hadn’t finished the previous book he’d requested.)
One year in college, with piles of papers, he was too busy to think of a preference, so he asked for any book the giver would think he’d enjoy. It was just his luck the giver was Miyako, coming home from Spain, with some of the country’s hottest literary erotica to ever be translated to the Japanese language.
She thought she could have some fun if she could hear him get flustered over the material whenever he finished it. Takeru ended up having the last laugh though the very next day when he headed over to their convenience store for some snacks and “incidentally” told Mr and Mrs. Inoue of the new book she had given him, for which she had raving reviews, and which they should definitely check out. (Needless to say they did, and almost forbid her from returning to Europe after the holiday break. She convinced them to let her go eventually. Takeru also ended up enjoying the book so much he started exploring the genre himself, though just on the side for his favorite fandoms.)
Hikari
Hikari was the second most practical of the group, next to Iori. She mostly just asked for school supplies or other cute little things like new hair clips. When she got enough hair clips she started accepting hats too.
The best hat-giver was Takeru (for obvious reasons) who got her the most stylish hats, classy berets from some boutique in Paris. The second best hat-giver was Daisuke, not for style but more for farce. He gave her a hat with a stuffed bowl of ramen on top, complete with a cute chibi face and dangling noodles for bangs.
It was so cute the rest of the gang got similar hats for themselves (Iori got a stuffed cup noodle one because it was slightly smaller and just that much more discreet.) On days they think Daisuke could use a little pick-me-up, they drop by the store and wear the hats at the entrance. Never fails to brighten even the worst of days.
Hikari: bonus
The success of the silly hats encouraged them all to give each other matching silly hats, even when it wasn't Christmas.
Hikari alone had the unique pleasure of being able to wear these hats to work at the international preschool where she part-timed. (One of the benefits of working with children.) She sometimes even bought matching earrings to complete the look (eg. narutomaki earrings for the ramen hat.)
Her hats were so fun that her students always looked forward to what new silly hat their teacher would wear for the week. Sometimes when the others would visit her at work, they would coordinate so they could match. It was always so fun watching a dozen or so kids go crazy over two adults looking silly in their silly hats (Though he was also the most hesitant, Iori also actually enjoyed this the most.)
Note on Ken
Hello I did not forget Ken!! Our best boy T____T Ken's part was just the longest (his was actually the first one written!) so I'll post that as a follow-up ^__^;
Merry christmas again @jubilines and hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday!!

Dear Hatterstan
I have been part of the fandom since the release of the first season, but I had been pretty disappointed since my fave (hatter) was super underrated, and never really found any content on him.
But I recently found your blog and god it has been a goldmine for me. Your old writings have been my bedtime stories these few days.
What I mean to say is that I really appreciate what you do, I actually made a Tumblr account because the site would let me keep reading if I didn't JAJAJAJS, I honestly dont even know how this site works (or if this is even the right way to reach out to you, but I might as well try)
But seriously, thank you so so much for what you do, you are one of the few people giving me content to fixate on, and the fact that its super good too!?!! I feel like I won the lottery with your blog. And I felt like I should formally thank you for it, I know I could keep on being a ghost and not interacting with anything wich it's what I used to do, but I realized it might be nice knowing people really enjoy what you do, aaaa English is not my first language and I'm not good with words, but I hope you get what I mean TT
Aaa I rambled too much I ended up making a Bible, im sorry for that!
Anyway, thank you so much for everything TT♡
This is legitimately one of the best, kindest messages I've ever received. Seriously. I cannot thank YOU enough for stopping by.
...And BECAUSE you sent me such a lovely message, you get your own little drabble!

Storm
Rating: General Audiences
Pairing: Takeru/Aguni
Genre: Fluff
Summary: Completely OOC, but what if Takeru was stupidly, ridiculously afraid of thunderstorms? And it's the middle of the night? And there's *gasp* only one bed? I bet you can't possibly imagine what's going to happen here...
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
"Mori. Mori, are you awake?"
"I am now."
Aguni Morizono pokes his head from beneath the bedblanket. With a groan of sleepy displeasure, he rolls over to see a familiar silhouette standing in the doorway.
A jolt of bright flashes throughout the room, lighting up Takeru's expression of horror. A wall-rattling clap of thunder makes him jump.
"Mori," Takeru hisses. He hugs his ridiculously-patterned bathrobe around his waist angrily. "You have to do something about this."
"Do what?" Rain pelts heavily against the window. "I can't control the weather."
"That can't-do attitude is exactly why you got demoted to number three in the line of succession. I mean, you haven't even tried—"
Another flash of lightning stops Takeru mid-sentence, his voice morphing into a shaky yell that has Aguni squishing his pillow on either side of his head to try and drown out the noise. It doesn't do much.
"I hate this. I hate this, I hate this, I hate this!" Takeru runs a shaky hand through his mussed-up hair. "You know how I am with thunderstorms, Mori. They're so loud and unpredictable—"
"Like you."
"—and I feel like I'm gonna freak out if this goes on for much longer."
Another, smaller rumble of thunder rolls by, and Takeru's whole body stiffens. It's almost sweet, the way he gets so upset over something so simple as a storm. Aguni can't help but feel a stab of fondness behind his heart.
"You're not gonna freak out," Aguni says. He reaches out in front of him and grabs a handful of comforter, gracelessly yanking the blankets back to reveal the unoccupied side of his bed.
"Come on," Aguni sighs, "get in."
Takeru looks like he's about to protest, but lightning has him scurrying across the room and sliding into bed like he's stealing second base. He quickly folds the heavy comforter up to his nose and squeezes his eyes shut as tightly as he can.
"You really are bothered by this, aren't you?"
Two flashes of lightning and the rain roads even louder. Takeru yanks the covers over his whole head and groans.
"Yes," Takeru snips, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. He pokes the comforter up with his finger just enough to glare at his new bedmate. "It's the end of the world out there! How can you be so calm?"
"We need the rain," Aguni shrugs. "This'll be enough to keep the Beach up and running for a good while."
Takeru grumbles. He can't deny the benefits of such a torrential downpour, but it's clear that he's less than thrilled about the sky's method of delivering water.
"Yes, well..."
More thunder. Even Aguni jumps a little at that one, the sound much louder than before. He doesn't even notice that Takeru has wiggled his way to the middle of the mattress and now rests mere centimeters away from his person.
"I hate to ask you this, Mori, I really do," Takeru says softly, "but, seeing as we are both currently in the same bed—"
Takeru doesn't get to finish his sentence. Aguni flops a tired arm around Takeru's shoulders and rests his open palm on Takeru's back. Aguni pretends not to be pleased when he feels Takeru lay his head on his chest and snake an arm over his stomach.
"Knew I could count on you, Mori," Takeru hums. He wriggles around a little, trying to find the perfect, most comfortable spot to settle in. "I don't know if you're aware, but you're an exceedingly comfortable man. It's a shame you always snore so loudly."
"Not as loud as you," Aguni says. "You're gonna steal the covers, aren't you?"
"I'll only take what I deserve."
Lightning flashes, but this time, Takeru doesn't seem as upset. Aguni rubs small circles on his back as his breathing begins to slow.
"We'll discuss your inflated ego in the morning," he says. Takeru makes some kind of muffled noise of acknowledgement, face squished into Aguni's chest and rapidly losing his battle with consciousness.
And, despite the storm, both men manage to fall into a deep, peaceful sleep.
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Listen. Sometimes, being an adult means you just need a goddamn cuddle. And these two? Oh, yeah. They need it. Badly.

18 with Momotaros!
18. Possession/Mind control
“I’m bored,” Ryuutaros whined, dropping crayons on Kintaros’ head.
“We all are, brat,” Momotaros barked. “But Ryoutarou has his job and we have to leave him alone!”
“Why’d he have to get a job?” Ryuutaros sulked. “Isn’t being a Kamen Rider enough of one?”
“Now now, Ryuuta. Ryoutarou getting a job is a good thing. Maybe he’ll meet the right girl there~”
“Shut up, perverted turtle!”
However, the thought of Ryoutarou at his job, with no supervision...he had been talking about a young woman at levels unseen. Usually he only mentioned people once or twice, but a “Mei-chan” had been on his lips the last five times he had been on the DenLiner. Or was it seven?
“I’ll go check on him,” Momotaros declared, standing up and heading to his Singularity Point’s brain.
---
Ryoutarou smiled ruefully at Mei, now covered in...who knew what. Glitter, or flour, or sand, something that had ten billion grains and would take forever to get out of his hair. Just a usual day, but Mei came over to help shake it out of his hair, uncaring that it was getting all over her as well.
“I can do it, I’m used to it,” he said, going to move her hand but getting that wrist gripped.
“Sure, but I’m going to do it.” She held onto his wrist, firmly, but not in a way that hurt, and all of a sudden it struck Ryoutarou that they were the same height, and her glasses were crooked, and her smile was softening.
And then Momotaros came.
“What are you doing to me, woman?!”
“Momo! What did I tell you about coming while I’m working!” Ryoutarou protested in his head, trying to gain back control.
“What is she doing?” Momotaros shot back, peering into Mei’s face.
To her credit, Mei didn’t even blink, just stared right back, her chin coming up as her arms crossed.
“Ryou-chan, what have you been up to since we’ve last met??”
“Why does she call you the same thing your big sis does??”
“One at a time!” Ryoutarou begged.
“You don’t have dyed hair, so where did this red streak come from? Not to mention the muscles you most certainly do not have,” she mused, studying the two and making Momotaros uncomfortable.
“This chick is a weird one, Ryoutarou! You should leave her.”
Memories of being at Mei’s udon shop when they were in middle school was sent into Momotaros’ awareness. They had been close before they went to different high schools, with Ryoutarou’s Kamen Rider stuff not really helping.
“This chick has a name, did you know that? I know you’re not Ryou-chan.”
“Hmph! Think you’re good enough for Ryoutarou! Let me tell you, woman! No one’s good enough for him!”
Ryoutarou found himself kabedoned against a nearby shelf, which caused a commotion as marbles fell down, which Mei ignored.
“Get out of him, whoever you are!”
“No! He needs to be supervised! At least around you!”
“Momo, please…” Ryoutarou asked, feeling faint from the whole situation.
He felt Urataros start fighting for control and fainted for real.
---
“I don’t like her,” Momotaros declared, back on the DenLiner as Naomi hummed in the background.
“Mei-oneesan is fun!” Ryuutaros declared. “She made stinky Momo cry!”
“Cry?” Kintaros asked, waking up immediately.
“Just stinky old Momo!”
“HEY!”

next time, if it rains | iwaizumi hajime
who would have thought iwaizumi was the type to wait under the rain?
Tumblr media
wc: 784
summary: iwaizumi waits for you on a rainy afternoon.
contains: f!reader, canon-adjacent, set in high school (around 1st year), (eventual) friends to lovers, reader is nicknamed 'tori-chan' by oikawa (there will be backstory), you and iwaizumi are just starting to get close.
part of ‘there’s this sound (in my chest), and it only beats when you’re around’ this is the first fic in the series.
a/n: edited and reuploaded.
Tumblr media
You find Iwaizumi under a clear umbrella in the torrential downpour of a Wednesday afternoon.
It’s not a surprise to find him prepped to go home, just fifteen minutes past his dismissal from volleyball practice; but the gym is on the other side of school, and he’s standing here now, outside of your club’s building, seemingly waiting as he remains firmly planted on his spot, unmoving.
You’re confused.
“Iwaizumi-san?”
Looking up from his phone, he readjusts the strap of his gym bag. There’s a momentary pause as he squints, the rain making it impossibly difficult to recognize you at first glance.
Then, recognition flashes across his face before he raises his hand, giving a small wave, “Hey!”
You place your bag on the floor, freeing your hands to unclasp the lock on your umbrella before pushing it open. It’s a bit of struggle as you attempt to carry all your things, your umbrella, bag, and a few books barely being balanced with just your two hands.
“Do you need help?” Iwaizumi calls out, voice muffled by the heavy rain.
“It’s—“
The question is rhetorical, you realize, because before you can even get a word in, he’s already made his way to you, approaching the steps much quicker than you can seem to gather yourself.
It honestly feels like deja vu; does Iwaizumi just always know when you need help?
Recounting the memory horrifies you to this day—the first time you approached Iwaizumi, he had to cut your rambling short just to get to the main point:
“Do you need help with the topics for our science exam?”
You shake your head, shooing the thought away. There’s no use dwelling on embarrassments of the past when it’s only brought you the good things you have today—like your little Wednesday study group, composed of you, Oikawa, and Iwaizumi.
“Thanks,” you bow your head slightly as he reaches for your books. Your smile turns sheepish when you follow it up with an apology.
The steps are slippery on your way down, but your shoes manage.
Just a few steps ahead of you, Iwaizumi stays close by, looking back a few times in case you might slip.
They’re discreet looks, a real attempt of his to be subtle; but you can tell, and the gesture only makes you smile.
“Why’d you wait all the way here?” you ask, once you reach the bottom of the stairs.
“Oikawa had to fetch Takeru. He messaged our group chat,” Iwaizumi swipes through his phone to show you the message. You fall into pace beside him, reading.
[5:01pm]
Shittykawa: Tori-chan, gotta fetch Takeru cos of the rain! >.< Sorry! Iwa-chan will still walk with u tho, I’ll see u guys at home~~
“It didn’t show that you read it, so I wasn’t sure if you saw it,” he continues, pocketing his phone as you exit the gates.
The rain gets stronger.
You hum in agreement, mumbling, “You didn’t have to wait out here though… I would have gone to the gym eventually…” a pout forms on your face, growing deeper the guiltier you feel.
The fact that Iwaizumi waited for you outside, in the pouring rain (and for a good while, it looks) makes you feel bad. You aren’t so close that things like this are unspoken in your friendship.
“Sorry…” you murmur. You don’t think Iwaizumi hears you from how loudly the raindrops are beating against your umbrella, but he does.
“H-hey, it’s fine! I don’t mind.”
You slow down your walk.
“‘Sides,” Iwaizumi sighs, falling into step with you, “I wasn’t sure if you had an umbrella, so…” he trails off, too embarrassed to continue.
Your brain buzzes at the implication, but you shake it off quickly.
Don’t assume.
(The wet patches on his uniform do nothing to cool down how warm he feels.)
“Oh,” you chuckle, focusing instead on how touched you are by his thoughtfulness. It’s endearing how he’s even embarrassed about it.
“Good thing I have one then,” you play along, speaking as casually as you can, “I don’t think we’d fit under yours.”
Iwaizumi laughs, a boyish grin settling in to replace how flustered he’d looked.
“I guess I’ll just have to bring a bigger one next time.”
You glance at him from the side, observing; you don’t think he even realizes what it implies—that he wants to share an umbrella with you, next time.
So you brush it off, chalking it up to Iwaizumi just being Iwaizumi, kind and reliable—thoughtful.
The rain doesn’t let up the entire walk to Oikawa’s place, but you’re thankful for it. At least, the raindrops reverberate loud enough against your umbrella to drown out the pitter patter of your heartbeat.

Animage October 2024 Issue Kamen Rider Gavv ft. Chinen Hidekazu & Sugihara Teruaki (translations below)
Publication: September 10, 2024
The Strange Sweets Kamen Rider
The 6th Reiwa Kamen Rider is the first ever to use a sweets motif! The cast and staff talk about the behind the scenes of the birth of the new hero who fascinates us with a gap between poppin visuals and its heavy filling!!
Having passed out due to hunger, Shouma, who comes from another world, was saved by a human boy named Hiroi Hajime. Shouma was in a difficult situation when he confronts the Granute, a monster who wants to kill Hajime, but when he "sets & eats" the familiar like creatures called Gochizo in the mouth on his stomach, he transforms into Kamen Rider Gavv and crushes the Granute. This was the beginning of Shouma's battle to protect humans.
The latest entry in the Kamen Rider series, "Kamen Rider Gavv" only just started in September. Despite the poppin imagery and visuals of sweets as its motif, this is a hard and serious drama that depicts the lonely battle of a young man named Shouma, who hides a grand past and mystery behind him.
This production features Takebe Naomi-san as the Producer, Sugihara-san as the pilot Director who determines the direction of the work, Komura Junko-san as Screenwriter, and Fujita Satoshi-san as Action Director, all of whom have worked on the Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series. In particular, Sugihara-san and Komura-san are the pair that gained attention for their work in "Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger" and the fans are expressing their expectations.
The story of a fierce battle between the sweets Kamen Rider and the Granute monsters has only just begun, so don't miss a moment of the birth of a new Kamen Rider legend! _
Chinen Hidekazu (Shouma)
The first transformation born from an extreme situation
-Supported by dependable friends and the Director-
"Please tell us your impression of the Kamen Rider series."
Chinen: For me, I've admired Kamen Riders since I was a child, and I love them so much that they're the first thing that comes to mind when people ask, "Who's your hero?" I've lived my whole life dreaming of becoming a Kamen Rider, so I was really happy when I was chosen to be Shouma.
"Are there any works that you find particularly memorable?"
Chinen: It's hard to pick a single work from my generation since I'm so attached to all of them, but……I think "Kamen Rider OOO" might be the one I was particularly enthusiastic about when watching. The dialogue between Hino Eiji and Ankh was interesting, and even as a child the ending made me think, so including its theme song, it's my favorite work. Lately however, I've been super into "Kamen Rider Den-O" (laughs). I'm watching it from the perspective of learning why it became so popular, but I also like Den-O because of Satoh Takeru's (who plays Nogami Ryotaro) amazing performance in which he plays multiple different personalities.
"What kind of person do you feel Shouma is?"
Chinen: I read the script so much that it felt like I was watching myself, as I thought that Shouma was so similar to me. We're very similar in the way that we're abit out of the loop, but also curious and get into the things that interest us. I was glued to the TV when I was a child, and I'd become so engrossed when watching it, that I couldn't even listen to what my mother was saying. However, I feel like I'm far removed from him in terms of his guts and inner strength, his desire to save people even at the risk of his own life, and his ability to fight the enemy. Playing the role of Shouma gives me energy and makes me aspire to be like him.
"We think another feature of this production is that right now, Shouma doesn't have a fixed place to stay, and that he comes into contact with a variety of people wherever he goes."
Chinen: I think alot of people are curious to see what happens next, as so far in Gavv, the story continues to be dominated by Shouma's easygoingness and the fact that we don't know what he's thinking. He seems to have a connection with Sachika-san, who he met in episode 2, so what happens to them in the future is a big point to watch out for!
"Please tell us your impressions of Sachika and the person who plays her, Miyabe Nozomi-san."
Chinen: Miyabe-san is a very refined person, so when we first met at script reading, I was shocked and said, "This person's gonna be a gyaru?!" (laughs). One of the things I like about Miyabe-san is that her mannerisms show the quality of her upbringing, but the more we talked, she really started to look like a gyaru, and I felt that performing together with her was amazing. Sachika-san leaves a strong impression of being a gyaru, but on the inside, she's a stable girl who's able to understand the feelings of others. Seeing her say with a refreshing smile, "I think it's good for everyone to be happy," Shouma respects her and thinks, "She's such a wonderful person" and "I want to be like her," almost like she's the embodiment of peace. When I read the script, I always feel supported and say, "Sachika-san, thank you."
"Shouma's brother sister like relationship with her is also very interesting."
Chinen: Director Sugihara Teruaki said to me, "It's like a dog and his owner" (laughs). Still, I think that Sachika-san's all encompassing kindness, and Shouma's simple mindedness are a great combination, and we're also playing the roles with confidence.
"He's yet to interact with Shouma, but we think the role Hanto plays will also be another highlight to look forward to."
Chinen: In some ways, Hanto is also easygoing, but he's the compassionate, hot blooded type, and he too lives by carrying something on his back. I hope you'll look forward to seeing how Shouma and Hanto, who are completely different types of people, interact with each other and what they'll think of each other in their first meeting. Hino Yusuke-kun, who plays Hanto, is the mood maker who makes the set feel relaxed, which is a gap between him and Hanto, but I feel that we're similar in our passion for the production and performance, and the way we put our all into something. To me, Hino-kun is a rival but also like a reliable big brother, and we often consult with each other and visit each other's houses (laughs).
"What were your impressions of Director Sugihara, who also directed the first two episodes as the pilot Director?"
Chinen: As I had no experience in acting, Director Sugihara is a respected teacher who taught me how to perform from the ground up, including how to read the script, and he's like a father figure from Tokyo. He understands each actor's personality and gives them advice accordingly, and he's an amazing person who draws out our potential, so every time I'm on set, I feel happy to film under Director Sugihara. He's a Director I really love.
"Before filming, it seems that you and the Director practiced vocalization together."
Chinen: Yes, even before I could act, my voice wouldn't come out (laughs). I'm really grateful that he took time out of his busy schedule to watch me one on one, and it was an important turning point that led to something changing in me. I want to grow so that people will feel that I'll have changed over the coming year, and one of my goals is to give an inspiring performance that'll be recognized by Director Sugihara with, "You gave it your all."
-Aiming to be as cool as Nawata-san-
"Kamen Rider Gavv, who Shouma transforms into, has a motif based on gummies and other sweets."
Chinen: When I saw the illustration depicted in the proposal, I thought it was incredibly simple, however, my opinion changed when I saw it in person. The armor on the chest and shoulders have a gradient so that it shines beautifully when light hits it, and there's a playful gimmick where a squishy dent will form when it's pressed, so a bunch of detail has been carefully put into it. I'm now so attached to it, that I can't think of anyone else but Gavv. Personally, what I want you to pay attention to the most are the feet. The feet are actually clawed, and this slightly animal like aspect is an important element of the show, so I'd be happy if you make sure to pay attention to the feet as well.
"What's your impression of Nawata Yuya-san, Gavv's Suit Actor?"
Chinen: Nawata-san is an actor who I shape Shouma together with, and he's an indispensable person to me, as I'm able to talk to him about problems that I can't talk about with the other cast members or the Director. He also taught me about acting, like how to create the mood and how to read the script. I'm grateful to Nawata-san's action, as I think Gavv's appeal has tripled, and I feel like the show itself has also become more brilliant.
"Does that also get you enthusiastic about the post transformation dub recording?"
Chinen: That's right. The recording process is more difficult than normal acting because you have to use only your voice to express your emotions and fight scenes in accordance with the footage. In episodes 1 and 2, I had to rerecord so many times that I lost the strength in my voice, and it took twice as long as the planned time (bitter smile). As well as the performances of my seniors in the Kamen Rider series, I also studied the game "Street Fighter" based on the advice of Director Sugihara, and now I feel like I'm getting by. I'll work more diligently to make Nawata-san's performance 120% more appealing with my voice performance, and to become a Shouma who's just as cool after his transformation into Gavv.
"One of the real thrills of the Kamen Rider series are the transformation scenes, but how did you create the pose?"
Chinen: The transformation pose was decided through a discussion between myself, Action Director Fujita Satoshi, Director Sugihara, and Nawata-san. It's a movement that involves rotating your arm, but the final version, which we created after discussing the angles and timing with everyone to make sure it looked cool and appealing, is the transformation pose used in episode 2. Depending on the story, he could transform quickly, so I hope people watch the way he changes based on the situation.
"In the episodes up to this point, the action leading up to the first transformation in the first episode is a scene that can't be ignored when talking about Shouma. There was some action involving wires, and we were also impressed by his performance as he was gradually being cornered by the Granute."
Chinen: That scene was prepared weeks before the shoot, as Director Sugihara and Action Director Fujita came up with a really cool direction. The scene where Shouma is beaten was especially important to give depth to the reason for his transformation, as it took two days to film. In the end, it was in the most extreme situation I had ever experienced in my life, my performance came out unconsciously, and I was complemented with, "Your facial expressions were very good." I could've never done it on my own, the scene was made possible by the advice of Director Sugihara and Nawata-san, who worked beside me, and by all the staff members who created an environment that allowed me to concentrate on my performance.
"It makes us want to go back and pay attention to the expressions on your face. Finally, please tell us your goals throughout filming of Kamen Rider Gavv."
Chinen: I'd like to learn alot about action from Action Director Fujita, Nawata-san and everyone else on the Action Team, and I'd like to improve my acting skills. I've never been in an environment where I could spend an entire year with people who are so good at captivating others, and I don't think it'll ever happen again in the future. I hope to make full use of this experience so that in the next year, I can be an actor who can do it all, from acting to action and recording, so I'll do my best to do what's in front me!
Director Sugihara Teruaki
The vibrant world Shouma comes across
-A dark story with colorful visuals-
"When did you first hear that you'd be the pilot Director?"
Sugihara: I'm pretty sure it was around last Fall, when I was working on the drama, "Tokyo MPD: From Zero to Hero," I received a phone call from Producer Takebe Naomi-san who said, "I'd like to meet and talk with you at once." I heard from a separate matter that Takebe-san would be in charge of the next Kamen Rider, and at the time, I thought I was going to be the second Director, but when I met her, she said, "You're the pilot Director." (laughs).
"At the stage when Director Sugihara joined, how much of the content in the show was decided on?"
Sugihara: Aside from the sweets and monsters motif, we'd yet to decide on the content of the story and the personalities and relationships of the characters. In the beginning, we were a small group consisting of the Producer team's Takebe-san and Takishima Minami-san, Screenwriter Komura Junko-san, and myself. Our three parties worked out the content by sharing ideas from our respective perspectives.
"What specific ideas did Director Sugihara have in mind? Personally, we felt that the visuals of the characters, including their costumes, incorporated the Director's ideas."
Sugihara: You can assume that I'm basically in charge of visual aspects like the impression and fashion. For Shouma's fashion in particular, during the rather early stages, I'd draw an illustration and say, "How about something like this?," and I'd have them look at it while I created his character.
"Not just Shouma's clothes, but also the interior of Hapipare is rich in color, so much so that it's unusual for the Kamen Rider series."
Sugihara: I told artist Fukuzawa Katsuhiro that I wanted to make the visuals as bright and pop as much as possible. Kamen Rider Gavv itself isn't meant to be a continuation of the "ism" seen in the first generation of Kamen Rider, but it includes themes like family conflict and Shouma's sad separation from his mother, so the content is heavy. Because of this, we made the impression of the colors vivid, and were careful to not make them too dark. Moreover, being in the human world for the first time, Shouma's a kid who's impressed by everything he sees, so I was conscious of the world captured from Shouma's point of view and to use rather flashy colors. Conversely, the Granute World and Stomach Family use muted colors, or to just say it outright, they have dirty colors.
"What do you value in your expression of Shouma, the main character?"
Sugihara: I wanted to depict Shouma as a pure kid, someone who suddenly comes to the human world and finds everything he sees as fresh. On the inside, he's not much different from Hajime, who he first meets in the human world, in fact, he's much more of a child than that kid. So he ponders over what he's been told, hurt by the casual mention of "monster" and afraid of hurting others, he's unable to be together with someone else, so he leaves Hajime and Sachika and goes elsewhere. However, I didn't want to make it too dark, so it was hard to depict (laughs). While he carries a dark side, I want him to be a kid who's always smiling when he's with someone, even if he has to force himself to smile.
"This Shouma is beautifully embodied by Chinen Hidekazu-san."
Sugihara: The best thing about Chinen-kun is that he looks great on camera. That's the kind of talent an actor has. Also, the expressions on his face when he eats are really good. Even though he's eating food he usually sees all the time, he eats it like it's a delicacy, looking as if he's eating something he's never seen before and is impressed. In that sense, I think he was the right choice to play Shouma. Still, since this is roughly his first performance, he had to start from a place where he couldn't express his emotions properly, and to begin with, he couldn't even vocalize. I had Chinen-kun stand on one end of Toei's rooftop, and I stood on the opposite end and had him deliver his lines. I gave him relentless acting instruction from the very beginning (laughs). Filming started earlier than usual, so we've already shot several episodes, and I feel that he can now stand proudly in front of the camera as Shouma. With each episode his performance and facial expressions are getting better and better. I have high expectations for his growth over the next year.
-Dedicated action that make the most of the motif-
"We felt that the vibes of Gavv's everyday scenes were different from that of previous Kamen Rider series, but was there anything you were conscious of in your direction?"
Sugihara: In my mind, I had a bright, pop like feeling, but during filming, Chinen-kun……it was important to me how to capture Shouma and the human world from his point of view. I may have only been thinking, "How can I get a good shot of him?"
"In that sense, it's interesting to think that the entire production is being pulled along by Shouma and Chinen-san."
Sugihara: That's right. This is especially true for the first episode, as the story unfolds from Shouma's point of view, so I was conscious of the fact that I wanted to bring the viewers perspective as close as possible to Shouma's.
"Despite the battle scenes also having a fancy sweets motif, from the very first episode, we were taken back by the intense physical battle depicted between Gavv and the Granute."
Sugihara: I'm pretty sure it was Action Director Fujita Satoshi who put out the idea of a serious fistfight at a container warehouse, and with sword fighting in a narrow space. We specified the colors and placement of the containers, and asked the people on location to arrange them accordingly. From there, Fujita and I talked in detail about the composition of the action, and we put it together by discussing the angles while adding in our own ideas as we filmed on site.
"We heard that you and Fujita-san worked closely together to create this."
Sugihara: I also like action quite abit, so I tell Fujita various things like, "Do this sort of thing." Naturally, Fujita has alot of things he wants to do as well, so the two of us are working together to come up with ideas for action sequences and angles.
"Including Gavv's own actions, the way he fights while "eating" the Gochizo is unique."
Sugihara: It was decided in advance that the transformation items Gochizo would appear alot like that of "Pikmin" and "Minions," so I thought it'd be better to use alot of them. Because of that, when Gavv takes damage, his armor breaks and he'll eat the Gochizo one after another……we're calling it "follow up sweets," and I think it'd be interesting to keep changing sweets and repair them as he fights.
"The standard Poppingummy Form has flexible armor, while Zakuzakuchips Form's sword weapon can easily break depending on how it's used, and the use of sweets as a motif was also visually enjoyable."
Sugihara: Inspiration for the action comes from discussions that are almost like casual conversations. I thought about how things like thin baked snacks such as potato chips might be weak to side attacks (laughs). Also, unlike other Kamen Riders, we don't use bullet impacts on Gavv when we depict him being hit (mechanism that detonates gunpowder that's attached to the performer). In his setup, the armor is derived from sweets generated by his own body, so we tried to create the effect of small bead like things flying around him. During filming, we've been throwing beads into the air from the side of the camera. In that sense, it may have a new visual feel.
"What scenes from episodes 1 and 2 were particularly powerful?"
Sugihara: In terms of taking the most time, I'd say it was before the transformation in the first episode. When I was thinking about Shouma's human image, Takebe-san said, "I don't want him to be a hero who fights just because he has powers." You don't fight just because you have the power to become a Kamen Rider, there's a will to fight, and that's where the power comes in. I wanted to create an image of a hero who's able to transform into Gavv because it's Shouma. Since the time of the script meeting, we had talked about how we wanted to portray a different kind of strength from that of the everyday Shouma, who keeps going despite being beaten up by someone he can't even stand up to. On set, Chinen-kun and I worked together to find out why Shouma was feeling that way, and we worked on his facial expressions and gestures one by one, and I was quite persistent throughout filming. We were supposed to film the transformation scene in one day, but we took too long and didn't get to the transformation, so I had to apologize to the staff (laughs).
"Finally, please tell us your enthusiasm for the future."
Sugihara: Honestly, I have no idea how Kamen Rider Gavv will conclude a year from now, but I want to make a show that'll make people who watched it think, "Gavv was interesting." For this reason, I'd also like to delve deeper into Shouma and Hanto, and Sachika and the others characters, and to make each of them appealing. I'm sure that Komura-san will come up with some great developments (laughs), and for my part, I hope that I can take advantage of that, and as the pilot Director for the first time in a long time, to create images that people watching in their living rooms have never seen before.

A week had passed since the whole kick-back fiasco, and MIKEY had gone awol. Aki was over the moon about it, for obvious reasons; as far as he was concerned, he scared him off. Besides, the less you hung around the delinquent, the better for both of you.
“That guy’s just a nuisance, babe. Good riddance.”
Little did he know, this was a regular occurrence. Mikey always did this—Disappeared for days on end, only to pop right back up like he never left. Whether it be due to gang related issues, or because he felt like it, this frustrating habit was one of the reasons you invited him that night, despite knowing he’d pick a fight with Aki. You had missed him…in more ways than one. You knew it was only a matter of time before he came back to you.
And in the wee hours of the night, not far after said boyfriend left your place, you received a lone message from the former blonde himself.
from : bad influence ♡ 11:03pm     “ omw. ”
Short, but effective. His timing was impeccable, how he always managed to text the second you were alone was beyond you, but it made your heart race all the same. It was wrong, you knew that, Aki deserved better than someone who snuck around. You didn’t mean for it to get this far, but that was a guilt you’d deal with later. Mikey was your drug of choice, and tonight you craved another fix.
to : bad influence ♡ 11:07pm       “ okay. but just for a little while. ”
Even if you tried to play coy, to salvage whatever weak moral you had left, it didn’t matter—The only one you were fooling tonight was Aki.
from : bad influence ♡ 11:08pm      “ mhm. sure, angel. ”
It was a wonder how you didn’t draw blood with how harshly you clawed at his shoulders, fighting between wanting him closer or wanting to push him away. Mikey didn’t mind, though. On the contrary, he encouraged you to leave marks. As tempted as he was to leave his own, he figured beating up your insides would suffice.
Knowing you’ll struggle to walk tomorrow was all the reward he needed.
“God—fuuck,” he slurred, after a particularly hard thrust made you arch off the bed, forcing him to sink deeper. He gazed down at you with an all too pleased grin as you begged him for more. How could he deny you when you sounded so desperate? “Taking me so well, angel…always so good f’me…”
“J-Jiro..! Ahplease!” You sobbed, your knees practically knocking upside your temples as he increased momentum. Mikey snickered, angling his hips to continue ramming the spot that made your eyes cross, moans reaching octaves you didn’t even know you could hit.
“Mm, been feening for this dick, huh? Yeah? Maybe we should call up that smug bastard, let ‘em see how such good friends we are, right [______]? Bet he was real proud thinkin’ he got me to fuck off…but we both know who you really belong to. Don’t we?”
Tumblr media
He wasn’t sorry. That’s the short end of it.
The moment Takeru decided to act all big and bad, breaking stuff in a place where he paid no bills, it was in DRAKEN’s right to set him straight; mama may not have raised him, but he still ain’t no bitch.
It took some coaxing on your end, but you were able to reel Draken back from turning your boyfriend inside out. But, after he forced him to pick up every broken piece of the lamp, he told Takeru to choose a number between one and ten.
“…Why?” Was his response. Draken raised a brow.
“That’s how many shards I’m gonna shove up your nose.”
“Ken!”
The look on the shorter male’s face was worth it, earning a threatening smirk from the mechanic as he slapped a heavy hand on his shoulder. “Ahh, y’look like you were about to shit yourself, man! Nah, I’m not gonna hurt you.”
For a moment, there’s relief in your boyfriend’s eyes. It was short-lived, of course. Especially once Draken’s grip tightened around his shoulder. “But I will. Don’t ever let me catch you pop off on [_____] like that again. Would hate for you to have to pick yourself up off the floor next time. You feel me?”
With a gulp, he gave a shaky nod; now he really looked like he shat himself. “Y-Yes…”
“Hah? Yes, what?”
“Y-Yes, Draken, sir?”
He rewarded the poor sucker’s obedience with a couple taps to the cheek just to spite him before sending him on his way. It was met with little protest, Takeru scurrying out of the room with lamp pieces still in his palms, not even sparing you a passing glance.
“Text you later?” You called at his retreating form. When all you got was the sound of your front door slamming shut in response, you swiftly turned on your heel to aim a dejected frown at your other houseguest. Draken sardonically pouted back at you, reaching over to pinch your cheek until you swatted his hand away. “Why’d you do that, you totally freaked him out!”
He wasn’t sorry. Draken shrugged. “Good.”
Merely rolling your eyes, you headed for the small broom and dustpan in your closet to gather what little pieces Takeru left behind–Might as well busy yourself to delay addressing the elephant still in the room. Unfortunately, said elephant wasn’t about to let that happen. Before you could even think of sweeping anything, Draken gently grabbed your elbow, those same eyes that stared death into your boyfriend’s soul now filled with something else as they appraised you, melting through whatever cold exterior you tried to aim at him.
He leaned down closer, sporting a slanted grin that sent signals straight down to your core. Sometimes, you despised how easily he made your insides flutter by just existing.
“How much longer y’gonna entertain that fucking loser, huh? He wouldn’t know the first thing about handling someone like you.”
You hummed, fighting the giddy tremble in your body at the challenging air that surrounded you both. With the inkling of boldness you had, you took the bait. “What, like you would?”
He wasn’t sorry; you’d be though.
The way Draken split you in half would make Lucifer himself bite the pillow. Hovering over his gigantic frame, chest bare with your hands perched on each pec, he manhandled you to take every unforgiving inch of his dick, having you feeling downright discombobulated as your hips struggled to keep momentum.
Forget about seeing stars, at some point, you were certain you saw into the quantum realm; say hi to Ant-Man for me.
“K-Kenny...I can’t...t’s too much!”
He cooed up at you, though there wasn’t an ounce of sympathy in his tone. If anything, Draken enjoyed himself thoroughly, tongue-in-cheek as he watched you fall apart in his lap, just like he knew you would. With the way you tightened up around him like a vice, as if your own body was against the thought of him stopping, the former blonde chuckled breathlessly.
“Use the safe word then, doll.”
You glared down at him, to the best of your ability. With him practically jabbing you in the lung, it was more than difficult to say the rebuttal as smartly as you wanted to. “Y-you think…you’re so-oh! So f-funny…”
He did. Absolutely he did. By making your boyfriend’s name the safe word, nothing would soften his dick quicker. Plus, he knew you didn’t need it; just like you didn’t need Takeru.
“What? It’d be the only way you’d ever scream it anyways.”
Tumblr media
“Welcome back.”
You paused mid-step upon entering your apartment, not expecting the ravenette to still be there. With a deep exhale, you paid him no mind as you kicked off your shoes, irritated after a tiresome process of checking your boyfriend into the hospital.
To say BAJI did a number on him would be an understatement…Man’s fucked him up. Sure, maybe Makoto could’ve watched his tone when talking to someone with such a short fuse, but Baji could’ve at least exercised a little restraint.
…Oh, who were you kidding? It’s Baji.
“What, ya not talkin’ to me?” Barely sparing him a glance, you set your bag on the coffee table before heading for the bedroom for a much-needed shower. Baji didn’t take kindly to being ignored. He huffed, standing to meet you halfway as he trailed behind you. Even when you attempted to close the door in his face, he shouldered his way in anyway; it was gonna take more than that to deter him.
“Quit being mad…said I was sorry, damn.”
“No you didn’t,” you replied, incredulously. You really tried it with the silent treatment, but knowing him, it was only a matter of seconds before he'd get you talking again. Taking off the sweats you threw on in haste earlier, you continued. “You said, and I quote, ‘Talk shit, get hit,’ then fell asleep on the couch while I had to haul Makoto to the emergency room!”
Baji shuffled his feet, “…Well, I meant to say it. Jus' forgot.”
You scoffed, walking into your bathroom. "What are you even still doing here? Don't you have someone else's day to shit on?”
“Y’kicking me out now?” He teased, raising a brow. What he didn't expect was for you to start throwing your toiletries at him. Although his reflexes saved him for the most part, Baji still got hit a few times as he attempted to dodge between a shampoo bottle and mouthwash. "Whoa! Hey-!"
“Maybe I should! Do you have any idea how hard it was to get him in and out of my car with all that dead weight, let alone into the building? Not to mention, his emergency contacts were his uppity-ass parents, so after they chewed me out, I had to lie and say he saved me from getting mugged.”
“...They buy it?”
You tilted your head, exasperated. "Wow. And here I thought the next thing out of your mouth would be that apology you 'forgot' to say earlier…[Sigh] Whatever. You just better hope when Makoto wakes up he doesn't remember anything, or else we're both in deep shit."
“Tsk. The fuck’s he gonna do?”
“He could literally sue us.” You deadpanned.
“He’s a pussy, he wouldn’t be stupid enough to try me again. And if he gives you any shit for it, you let me know. I’ll take care of it.”
“Oh, you mean like how you did today? Pass.”
He groaned, “I said sorry!”
“No you didn’t! And still haven’t!”
At the moment, it felt like the conversation would just continue in circles. With Baji stubbornly claiming he was in the right, and you combating his warped logic with colorful language and more stuff thrown at him, it's a wonder how things ended up here–With your face pressed against the cold shower wall as he gave you his fucking apology.
Over, and over, and over again.
While one hand wrapped around the column of your throat, fingers shoved knuckle-deep into your mouth to pacify the excessive whines tumbling out, the other made use of gripping the meat of your thigh, giving you no chance of running from the punishing thwap of his hips ramming against your wet ass-cheeks. The water cascading over your bodies had long turned cold as Baji chased after orgasm number five, his muscles ached from the strain, but he'd be damned to stop until he was certain all was forgiven.
Even if it meant missing every single one of Makoto's phone calls.
Tumblr media
“God, I am so, so sorry, Takashi. Can’t believe he just…I-I’ve never seen him act like that before. Does it hurt?”
MITSUYA, despite the sting in his split lip, gave you an easy grin. “Nah, y’know I’ve been through worse. Fucker hits like one of my younger sisters.”
You had brought him back to your place to ice the bruise forming on his jaw, still frazzled over what occurred in the last half hour. Back at the restaurant, everything seemed fine when you excused yourself to the bathroom, having a blast knowing that your two favorite people were actually getting along. Unbeknownst to you, there was a storm brewing in Hajime. And the second you were out of sight, he used this opportunity to set a record straight with Mitsuya.
Evidently, he allowed his fists to do the talking.
You groaned, rubbing down your face in distress. “We’ll probably never get to set foot in that restaurant again...’m so embarrassed.”
“Hey,” he softly reprimanded, “Don’t sweat it, t’s not your fault-”
“I’m the one who begged you to let him come with us in the first place. I mean, I know you two butt heads from time to time, but I didn’t think it’d ever turn that serious. Please, Taka, just tell me what happened.”
Mitsuya shook his head, about to lower the ice pack until you shot him a pointed look. With a small exhale through his nose, he kept it on his jaw while he spoke. “I told you, he was probably pissed he couldn’t get a free meal outta me-”
“Don’t bullshit me, Haji wouldn’t explode like that over a fucking chicken sandwich.” You huffed, frustrated at his evasive behavior. He was holding back information on purpose, you were certain. Ever since the fitting, he'd been acting weird all evening. And that fight only solidified your suspicions. “Just tell me what started it!”
"Doesn’t matter."
"Taka-"
"Let it go, [______]." He laid back on your couch and made himself comfortable, even so much as turning on your tv to fill over the dead conversation. Mitsuya trained his eyes on the lit-up screen, still icing his jaw as he subtly avoided eye contact.
You could just scream.
Childishly, you snatched the remote from his hand and switched it back off. The lavender haired threw his head back in defeat, the hand holding the ice pack slowly coming down as Mitsuya eyed you from his peripheral; so stubborn.
“Be honest. It was about me again, wasn’t it?” His silence spoke volumes. “So it was then. Ugh, okay listen, I get that you’re both really protective of me, I do, but that doesn’t excuse-”
“I’m in love with you.”
You choked. Though, only on your words.
With that now hanging up in the air, you gaped like a damn goldfish, the remote slipping out your grasp and clambering to the floor with a clack. Mitsuya exhaled; no turning back now. “You…huh?”
“Yep. Have been for a while, actually.” He placed his arms behind the couch, wry smirk on his face. “Planned to tell you over dinner tonight, but that backfired fast, no thanks to that walking steroid you call a boyfriend.”
“Y-…You’re messing with me. Right?” The designer offered a humorless laugh, gesturing to his split lip and bruised jaw.
“Didn’t get hit for saying what a great pal you were, [______].”
Now it was your turn to be silent. A lump began to form in your throat, overwhelmed with the newfound information, borderline confession.
“So then…what did you say to Haji to make him so angry?”
For a split second, you saw a glint within his pools of amethyst as they slowly rendered to a deep violet. Staring at you from beneath his pretty lashes, Mitsuya resembled that of a starved animal on the verge of cornering its prey, causing a sudden warmth to envelop you as you squirmed under his heady gaze.
Sitting up a little, he merely beckoned you to his empty lap. You blinked widely at him, sputtering as you tried to protest the idea. But, what he said next played into your curiosity.
“C’mere, and I’ll show you.”
You blinked at him, uncertain; he made no move to rush you. If you were against the idea, you were more than welcome to decline and tell him to shove it. However, when you eventually crawled into the awaiting throne, settling all your weight on top of him to the point he couldn’t keep from groaning shamelessly, Mitsuya was fucking elated.
You gripped his shirt at the shoulders, sporting that signature pout you’d do whenever you wanted something from him—The designer was more than ready to give it to you. All you had to do was say so.
“Hajime’s gonna kill you if he finds out, though. Don’t want you getting hurt again because of me…”
Mitsuya chuckled, hands slowly rubbing up your thighs until they settled on your hips. “Don’t worry about it, sweet thing. He may have gotten two hits on me today, but all I need is one tomorrow.”

how to lose a guy in 10 days- t. oikawa
masterlist
Tumblr media
day six
toru meets you at the train station.
“good morning.” he greets, yawning. it’s early. too early, you are too tired to even act insane.
“good morning toru.” you yawn too. a chain reaction.
toru scans two tickets, one for him, one for you.
the two of you file onto the train.
“how long is the ride?” you ask, passing your bag to toru as he lifts it into the overhead bin.
“about two hours.” he says. “do you want the window?”
you nod, and shuffle into the seat, sitting down. toru sits down next to you.
“are you gonna sleep?” you ask, gazing up at him.
“i’ll try. are you?”
“yeah.” you say, closing your eyes before the train even starts moving. you decide toru probably wont mind if you use his shoulder, so you lean over placing your head on him. you fall asleep quickly. you are only woken up by the train jolting to a stop. as you slowly open your eyes, you feel the weight of torus head on top of yours. gently shaking him, toru opens up his eyes and stretches.
“hm. looks like we’re here. did you sleep okay?” he asks, standing up.
“yeah, feeling less tired now.”
“good. i thought we’d stop at my parents house first today, and then maybe meet up with my friends tonight or tomorrow. if that’s okay with you?” toru says, thinking through his plan as he pulls out your bags.
you pull the straps of your bag on.
“sounds great to me. lead the way.”
you follow toru off of the train, and he grabs onto your hand as you push through the crowded station. when you reach outside, you don’t let go of his hand.
“this way!” he cheers, pulling you off. you walk for a bit, passing different shops. each place you go, toru tells you a story, some interesting thing that happened there a few years ago, or his favorite menu item.
you hate it. it makes him seem more human, the exact thing you are trying to avoid. he was in high school, just like you. sure, he was the star volleyball player and probably a school celebrity, but he’s still a real person. you feel a little sick to your stomach. you can’t dwell on the thought for too long, because shortly after you are stood in front of torus family home. your stomach hurts even more.
“don’t be nervous.” he says. “it’s just gonna be my mom, sister, and nephew. they’re all great.”
you nod.
“they’ll love you y/n.”
and then he’s opening the front door.
“helloooooo!” he sings, pulling off his shoes. you follow suit.
“in here!” a voice calls from farther in the house.
toru smiles at you, and leads you further into the house. as you walk you appreciate all of the childhood photos hanging on the wall. toru playing volleyball, a family photo, toru with a terrible haircut. you take note of the last one and remind yourself to get a photo of it before you leave.
when you enter the kitchen, you see an older woman, who looks just like toru, standing at the counter. shes drying off her hands on a dish towel, and quickly cheers as she rushes over to the two of you.
“you must be y/n! it’s great to meet you!” she hugs you, and then her son. “i’m torus mom. this is his sister, takami,” she motions to a younger woman, who also looks just like him, “and this is takeru, his nephew.”
“it’s great to meet you all!” you say, smiling.
“why would you ever date him?” chimes in takeru.
you choke, laughing. great question, you think.
“hey!” toru squeals. “not nice!” he smacks his nephew on the back of the head. “i’ll have you know i’m a total catch.”
“fighting already and you just got here!” takami cackles out. her laughter is infectuous and you all find yourself joining in.
“i just finished making lunch, sit down!” torus mom exclaims, gesturing towards the table the rest of the family sits at. toru pulls out a chair for you, and you sit down next to him. the meal is delicious. the home-cooked feeling only adds to it, and the conversation flows easily. you feel like you’ve known torus family for years. they fill you in on jokes, make new ones, and constantly poke fun at toru. once you have all feasted, you all migrate into the living room.
“toru, why don’t you help y/n take her stuff upstairs?” takami asked.
he smiles and stands up, grabbing your hand to help you off of the couch. the two of you walk up the stairs, toru carrying your bag, and into his childhood bedroom.
short bookshelves line one wall, trophies placed on top. medals hand off of the other one, placed above a small desk with a computer on top. a volleyball sits in the corner.
“you have a lot of trophies.” you muse, looking around his bedroom.
you hear him place down your bag before he walks over to where you crouch.
“i guess so.” he says, quietly.
“you don’t sound very proud of them.” you say, looking over at him.
“i am. it’s just i was a lot different of a player in high school than i am now.”
you hum.
“your family is great.” you say.
“yeah, thats for sure. sorry if they were too much.”
“not at all, i think they are a lot like you.”
“is that a compliment?”
“most definitely.”
toru smiles at you.
a beat passes. there is no way you are having a moment with toru oikawa right now. no way. he starts to lean in.
“is it okay if i-” he starts.
you cut him off by closing the distance between the two of you. there is no denying it anymore, your feelings for toru oikawa are real, and there is no way you can lose him.
the kiss is perfect. well almost.
toru oikawa is still betting. he needs to make you fall in love in the next four days. this kiss is just another stepping stone in his plan.
when the two of you pull apart from each other, toru smiles, and checks his watch. ”we should go out, my high school friends are all in town, and i want you to meet them.” toru says, standing up.
“okay.”
the two of you head out, saying goodbye to his family as you leave. the restaurant is nearby, and when you walk in, a table of 3 guys wave you over. you both sit down, greeting the other men. ”hi, i’m y/n.” you say, shaking their hands.
“hanamaki.” says the one with the pinkish hair. “nice to meet you.”
“i’m matsukawa, you are way too pretty to be dating oikawa.” you laugh.
“iwazumi, and i agree.”
“why are you all so mean to me!” toru whines.
the conversation with this group flows just as easily as did the one with his family. you all gang up again on toru, and it’s great.
toru never thought that he would catch feelings for you. sure, when he picked you out of the crowd he thought you we’re beautiful, but he never thought it would be anything real. but as he watched you joke around with his friends, the people he loves most, he feels something. only for this version of you though. the real you, not the one who talks in movie theaters, starts fights, makes jokes about him in front of a therapist, or makes him leave during a basketball game. but the one who falls asleep on his shoulder on train rides, the one who knows how to make his nephew laugh. the one who holds his hand in a crowd. the one who he carries home. that’s the one toru has feelings for.
so, he reaches under the table, and takes your hand in his. maybe he doesn’t have to end it after the bet is up.

Sometimes people interpret Gojo’s “chasing after Geto” and the theme of “love” adopted from Yorozu as signs of Gojo trying to find love with Sukuna.
It is true they had fun and Gojo had an all-out battle, I think it was more of Gojo being true to Gojo: It was an extension of chasing Geto.
Tumblr media
I say this with moderately reserved conviction because his Character Book pretty much confirms that there is no one particularly significant besides Geto. There is literally Geto everywhere. Everywhere. Some people on X were joking that Geto’s position in the relationship chart is comparable to a “wife’s position” and asking, “is this a Geto Suguru character book?”
In terms of preferences, too:
Tumblr media
Even the preference for dogs - seems to point towards being due to Geto. Not a dog from Megumi’s ten shadows’ divine dogs. The picture shown was a dog Gojo never even canonically met. Linked to a person he also did not canonically meet.
I was probably slow on the uptake, but I only recently realised that Takeru (the dog) in that scene was actually Geto - mistakenly assumed by the old man, leading to his easy defeat.
Tumblr media
What sorcery it was, we have no idea. The only best friend thing also seemed like a Gojo & Geto parallel.
Tumblr media
Anyway. In this sense, Geto was Gojo’s Takeru. Seeing Geto got him sealed in the prison realm. Uhm, yeah. And it’s true that Gojo is said by Gege to seem more cat-like, being “pretty” and a little solitary, but is someone who likely prefers dogs, Gege thinks, so we can see how he has changed to become more of a dog person - even in characteristics, after Geto’s influence who had lived for others rather than for itself (as what a cat might do). Or, it could be that he just prefers dogs because Geto was once mistaken as a dog. Lol.
The beach - this is also something related to Geto. (The sheltered Gojo probably didn’t have much time to do leisurely stuff. We end up liking places based on experiences we had, and the best experiences he had were with Geto. Naturally, he loves the beach due to Okinawa.)
And the last Q pictured in the image above says Gojo changed after Geto left in that he became more responsible for the next generation. Killing the higher-ups was also related especially after what happened during his time in the prison realm. Not killing them before was related to Geto - he had committed to not killing without a strong meaning/purpose. So when strategy and meaning/purpose aligned, Gojo “chased after” Geto who had “left him behind” because he couldn’t afford to walk that moral path any longer - for the future generation of sorcerers that he and Geto fought so hard to protect with their literal blood sweat and tears. And Gojo never had a real moral issue with killing.
So yes. Doesn’t it just make sense that Gojo approached Sukuna’s fight with two motives - one for himself and one for Geto? To have an all out brawl that his monstrous side desires (I’ve said it before: it would be soooo unfulfilling to never ever find someone you can go all out with. Like, forced to walk when you were born to sprint?!?) and to reach him with compassion/empathy as was shown to him by no other than Geto (who was very much a part of him)? Gojo was far too single-minded to want a new lover. C’mon. Give the yearner some credit. Gojo really was loyal to the core… he felt left behind for years and the character song for Geto was literally Gojo saying he wanted Geto to return to him somehow before it was too late.
Tumblr media
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again... the place of a partner, cannot be replaced by that of others who are in the category of children, students, or even friends - especially if you have shared a connection so deep that you consider that person a special, “one and only” irreplaceable being.
Megumi has also mutually not placed Gojo as someone particularly special to him. It is really a relationship that is not more than their sensei. I’d be highly disturbed if my sensei or teacher of any capacity loved me to the degree of some of the headcanons out there. Sorry to say. If that is your fantasy, or a form of an AU - that’s ok - I just see it as not canon. That is all. The facts, signs and evidence just … plain & simply are not there. Gojo cared in the capacity of being a teacher. That is it. Some of the unfinished business he had in 236 was carried over from the HI arc and regarding his personal philosophy over death.
So yes, Gojo understood Sukuna as a monster who knew strength & isolation. But his battle and other desire to teach / reach him was another extension of catching up.
So, rather than trying to find a new “love” with Sukuna, I see it as an ultimate form of growth & character development for Gojo - he was changed and felt the empathy that Geto showed him & tried to teach it to someone else who was similarly, stronger than him (as Gojo was to Geto).
And of course Gojo did get a kick out of the battle and to be acknowledged by a peer (as a monster). Imagine you’re Serena Williams and you have to accept just being fulfilled by your husband and never play tennis? Some things are just separate. The fulfilment Gojo gained was not necessarily related to Geto. Just like how following his principles down his dark path had to be done on his own for Geto. It had no bearing on his love for Gojo. And vice versa.
Nevertheless, it seems apt that it was within Gojo to find the desire to resolve two halves of himself through the battle. His loneliness wasn’t quite the same as Sukuna’s I think. Especially since Gojo knew love and companionship.
I think Gojo matured rather well. Or at least, I headcanon that Geto would say so.
The lesson that Sukuna needed to learn is not comparable to that between Gojo & Geto, therefore it wasn’t something Gojo could teach alone. Sukuna had no backstory tied to Gojo and it wasn’t like Gojo was trying to do that with him. Otherwise Gojo would have that afterlife “talk” with Sukuna, rather than his soul heading straight for Geto. Even if it was a delusion, are you telling me that him dreaming of Geto to comfort himself isn’t significant enough to tell us something? Sob 😭
The rest is for Yuji & everyone to forge the revision of the jujutsu world. Yuji is the one with the relationship with both Sukuna and his vessel, Megumi.
Keep calm and carry on the good work, Yuji... Hang in there Megumi.

Happy Holidays, @dnofsunshine !!
I was your @digisecretsanta, and I wanted to give you a little comic featuring the Takaishida brothers! Even when they’re not in the same place, they’re thinking of each other (Takeru is a bit cheeky as always, and Yamato will go so far as to strike a pose for the camera, but only for his little bro!). Not pictured: the Knife of Day/World on the Knife Christmas concert earlier, where Yamato gave Takeru that new hat, and Takeru gave Yamato a CD that he and Gabumon are listening to right now :D)
I included color versions of Takeru’s selfies below the cut, since I know he’s your favorite. Hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season, and a restful (hat-filled?) remainder of 2023!
