hi guys! im back. i went tokyo for a few days. got back at 7 this morning after taking an overnight 7 hour bus ride.... that i did not sleep on bc i cant sleep in moving vehicles. this will be something closer to a proper blog post i guess. splatoon related convention? experience below

i've kept my mouth shut about my plans to go because its not as well known on the english side of the fanbase and i didnt wanna make people too jealous sorry LOL , but i went to splaket 22! it's an unofficial, splatoon-only doujinshi market/artists alley. this was my first convention-sort-of event ive been to since i was... in high school. i also dont really get to meet many other hardcore splatoon fans irl. i was nervous about it because i don't know a whole lot of people on the JP side nor do i have a lot of confidence in my japanese speaking/listening, but in the end it was SUPER fun. i wish i couldve talked a bit more to the artists i did encounter to comment on what i liked about their works but. Skill Issue very few non-japanese people at this event of course but one of the only english speakers i saw i called out to bc they were wearing a shirt with this exact image printed on it no video and no photos outside of designated areas were allowed so i got like. zero pics of my own. but there was a lot of cosplayers i saw! oh and here's the Loot Haul. a few doujin, a clear file, stickers, microfiber cloth and a keychain. im surprised at how little i got, i think i shouldve gone a bit crazier with it

the one with Tao Blu and oonie in the top left (by sachikazerick) I came across by chance and bought because it was cute, featured splatband characters, and also because it all in some familiar inkling language (the last point of which i told the artist as i was buying) when i finally got home and saw the back credits...

SMALL FUCKIN WORLD LOL (i tweeted at the artist afterwards to let him know i came by the table and to thank him for using me and my friend's inkling language fonts!) though truly, i think ardnin deserved the credit more rather than me since he made most of those fonts! ah well, still cool to see more and more fan works using deciphered inkling language. top middle book is a story with some salmonid characters that i havent read yet but im looking forward to it, the art is lovely. top right one was the first thing i bought. the artist is rk_splaworks, whose art i love, and we've been mutuals for a few years and have talked a bit here and there! i was so fucking nervous to meet them in person since my japanese sucks LMAO but they were happy to meet me too and we got a selfie together yippy <3 also havent read their doujin Yet since ill have to rub all my brain cells together and huddle over the dictionary, but i want their oc lore

ok that's all i'll say, next splaket is...june 22. very soon....im already thinking ill. go again. yknow. while im still in japan and all that. i guess ill have to study harder on my jp in the meantime teehee ...i doubt it, but in the off chance anyone following me is going to the next splaket in june lemme know!

Thoughts 💭 - What do you think your f/o thinks about you when you're not around?

I like the idea of coming up in a lot of their small thoughts throughout the day. Madara walking past a cafe while traveling abroad and thinking "Oh, they would love going there". Tatsumi going through submissions for his advice radio show and secretly hoping each next one could be from me. Also, sounds a bit funny, but a big cornerstone of our relationship is mutual worry for each others wellbeing at the end of the day, so both Madara and Tattsun probably think a lot about stuff like "Are they doing okay?" "Did they eat enough today?" "I should drop by and check up on them"....

Romance 🌹 - What's the most romantic thing your f/o has done for you? Furthermore, what's the most romantic thing you have done for your f/o?

Probably not surprising, given what reply I gave above ⬆⬆⬆, but i think small consistent acts of kindness are... very romantic... to me... I often come over when MaM or Alkaloid are having practice with extra snacks and drinks to make sure they don't forget about proper breaks... For days when Madara stays over for the night, I braid his hair in the morning :3c Also I sneak little love letters and notes to Tattsun, I think he'd enjoy those teehee :3c Madara really likes taking me to local festivals, fairs and events and buying me snacks to try / winning me prize plushies! And Tattsun often brings me fresh herbs and vegetables Gardenia circle grows!! aughhh im thinking about fresh basil now,,,,,,,,, hope this makes sense

Ooh, love this question yayy ^-^ I would be a fox, since my name, Lis, literally means "a fox" and its one of my favouritest animals... I tend to draw/picrew myself with fox ears already teehee Madara is a bison, I won't argue with his canonically assigned volcanic bison fursona :3c Look at him with his horns and everything :3c If i *had* to choose something different for the sake of the ask, I'd go with a cow then,,, he's my little moo moo,,,

Tatsumi is literally so sheep. He always has very gentle eyes which make me think of domestic animals, and I'd imagine his hair would be very fluffy too... And mainly, there's the religious significance of a sheep for christianity that really makes it an obvious choice. Flipping him around and shearing him every summer <- not something normal people say. sorry.

you probably wanted to surprise him during snack time or lunch break

you were in a separate classes, you being in class 4 with tsukki and yams while he was in class 3

overall its always been a routine for the two of you to meet at that vending machine he really likes

the one near the volleyball gym

and for once, you wanted to surprise him

cs u thought it was cute or wtv so anywayz

you deliberately avoided him all morning like a plague

making him a bit sus and wondering why you weren’t around to greet him for your daily morning pecks and all that couple-y shit

he thought you had a big test today that he didnt know of and just shrugged it off cs it do be like that sometimes 

the break time bell rings and you were already on your way to the said vending machine

and when you arrived you spot kageyama already there making you pout and huff in annoyance

that the hand you were currently holding didn’t belong to your boyfriend

nor the person you’re next to isn’t kageyama at all

suddenly you see a familiar silhouette from your peripheral vision

you took a double take and there stood the one and only kageyama tobio with the biggest scowl on his face

immediately you let go of the person’s hand and spat apologies non stop

the person laughs awkwardly and tells you it was okay

kageyama stood frozen on his spot contemplating on walking away or talk to you or get some milk before doing some scary shit or whatever

“you avoid me all day and i see that” was the first thing kageyama said to you when you approached him

“i thought it was you!” you defend yourself, latching onto kageyama who didnt hug you back

“i wanted to surprise you and the guy looked like you so i thought it was you” you explained, hugging kageyama tighter

kageyama sighs and wraps an arm around you. “okay.. i believe you” he says passively, ignoring the pout on your face that kinda makes his heart hurt

he doesnt want nor likes to be the reason why you’re sad

“you owe me some milk though” kageyama finally looks at you making you sigh in relief

“i was planning to buy you today anyway” you grabbed his hand (this time its really his) and dragged him to the vending machine to buy his delicacy

so that means there would be class presentations or events time to time

just like right now for example !

so that means everyone was busy

suna was assigned with the props while you were assigned as one of the performers

the props men stayed inside the classroom while the people who were gonna perform went to the gym to practice their dance

after practicing for awhile, everyone took a break and went back inside the classroom

when you entered the classroom, you spot suna’s back facing you

thinking he was busy with making the props (which was rare lol), you sat by the empty chair beside him and grabbed his hand thinking it was him

you didn’t think much of it for awhile and even scrolled through your phone as you were swaying his hand the entire time

though when you kept pulling him to sit next to you like he usually does, he wouldn’t budge at all

“rin sit next to me” you whined, tugging the hand you were holding

“what the hell are you doing” you hear suna’s voice speak up behind you

and lo and behold, suna was in fact behind you

this whole fucking time, you weren’t holding suna’s hand

you let out a loud shriek and dropped the hand you were holding

blabbering apologies to the person

“i’M SO SORRY I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUNA” you bowed down to your feet as the embarrassment crept in

your classmates were all laughing at the situation

cs everyone knows you were in a relationship with the volleyball player 

suna wasn’t even mad, you just assumed he was

the boy who you were holding just lets out a laugh and mutters, “it’s alright” 

you got up from your feet and looked up to suna with tears pricking your eyes

you slowly approached him at the doorway and studied his face

so you assumed the worst and bit your lip harshly as you approached ur boyfie

1. how easy is it to make them angry? do they show their anger or hide it?

ophelia - it's kinda easy to get under her skin, and she holds a grudge so if u piss her off then she won't forget it. but also she doesn't really ACT on grudges, she'll just be a little rude next time u talk to her. she doesnt really show much emotion but does kind of having a permanent :| or >:| on her face, so she'll look annoyed even if she isn't...

beatrice - generally just being rude or annoying will make her mad, but she gets over things within seconds and doesn't take people all that seriously to begin with, so it's not like pissing her off will do much. she'll be like pouty and tell u to knock it off, but she also doesnt rlly care

alice - it's difficult to make alice mad. like you have to be SO annoying or hurt him in such a drastic way for him to get pissed. usually when hes mad hes still all smiley and happy tho so he'd kinda just be >:)

2. do they believe in soulmates

ophelia - she believes in them in the sense that one person may have multiple people that can come into their lives and be considered a soulmate bc nothing is permanent and blah blah blah she doesnt rlly care tho

beatrice - she doesn't believe in soulmates but enjoys soulmate au fanfiction

alice - he definitely believes in soulmates and fate drawing people together, but is conistantly disappointed when he finds out people he like arent destined to stay with him

3. do they have any pet peeves?

ophelia - people with no concept of personal space (unless theyre like merrick or one of her close friends)

beatrice - ppl who eat w their mouth open

alice - the sound of violins

4. do they have a happy place? somewhere they go in their heads when they need to relax?

ophelia - oph just goes to the library man

beatrice - she doesnt need one bc shes always vibing

alice - when the man needs to relax hes either drunk as hell or hanging out with as many friends as he can get together, spending time alone with his thoughts is literally a nightmare for alice

ophelia - the current stage of her life

beatrice - there hasnt been a stage where beatrice hasnt had fun :) she doesnt have anything to worry about!

ophelia - the ages of 12-17

alice - any time he gets to the point in a relationship where he breaks up w someone and then he goes into "my life sucks wahhhh" mode for a few months

ophelia & beatrice - have someone else buy them a drink

alice - buy someone a drink

8. have they ever broken any bones? if yes, how?

ophelia - when her powers manifested at the age of 12, oph lost the ability to feel physical pain which lead to her straining herself more. she'd get into accidents or push herself too hard because she couldn't feel that it hurt and wold get injured through that (and she still does, but she has more knowledge of her limits now) so i guess she wouldve broken some bones through stuff thanks to that.

beatrice - never ever broken a bone!! she drinks a lot of milk to keep her bones STURDY :)

alice - has broken like his arm or fingers or just anything in that area due to a fight or something. he'll probably have broken a leg at some point too. again, probably in a fight. or maybe he fell out a tree. who knows.

9. do they have any memories/experiences they'd rather forget?

ophelia - she generally wants to brush most of her teen years away and forget things relating to her family, but also cant bring herself to hate them despite how garbage they are, so,

beatrice - there are probably a few conversations she's had with alice and percy that she's like to never remember ever again

alice - he cherishes all his memories, good or bad! he always thinks that he can learn from his mistakes and hardships! even though all he does is repeat the exact same things over and over and o

10. what is their favourite memory from their childhood?

ophelia - although her parents have always been cold to her, they used to go camping when she was about 9-10ish, and she always enjoyed spending time with her siblings around then.

beatrice - in the method she had been created she technically never was a child um. but in her early life, she enjoyed hanging out with levi! :D

11. do they have a "type" that they are usually attracted to?

ophelia - no

beatrice - bea will generally befriend anyone if theyre cute or theyre like her guy friends. as for a partner, she wants someone thats at LEAST a head taller than her normal form (her regular form is 5'5"), they need to be someone that likes hugs, someone who would coddle her, someone who would cosplay with/for her, someone who would buy her things..

alice - his "type" is just "someone interesting", but he thinks all people are interesting in their own right- you have to be SUUUUUUPER boring for him to not be into you in some way.

12. do they have any favourite possessions?

ophelia - ALL her alien plushies (most of which were gifts from merrick)

beatrice - everything inside her wardrobe

alice - cleaver

13. do they have any tattoos? if no, would they ever consider getting one?

ophelia - she doesn't have any, and doesn't really want one, but she's seen some real cool space ones, and--

beatrice - tattoos vanish when she changes her form unless she focuses REALLY hard on keeping it there, so she's given up on trying to get one to be permanent.

alice - he doesn't have any, but thinks that getting a sleeve would be cool. he doesn't have any idea for what he wants, though, so he hasn't bothered getting one. he also gets worried that if he gets one of his current aesthetic, he'll get bored of it and have to do something drastic to remove it.

14. do they have any piercings? if no, would they ever consider getting any?

ophelia - has her ears pierced

beatrice - doesn't want piercings, wears clip-on earrings

alice - wants a tongue piercing r belly-button piercing maybe.. and ear piercing might also be cool...

15. what is their dream house like?

ophelia - she'd like to live in a small town on the coast or something.. she doesn't really mind living in a small house since it'd just be her and merrick. but also if she had a house with an observatory, she'd love that a LOT. generally just wants somewhere nice and laid back.

beatrice - due to her void realm taking the form of whatever she wants, she has her dream home! it's literally just an apartment with a few rooms, but it has enough space for all the stuff she wants.

alice - he's in a similar position to Beatrice in that he already has his own dream place bc teehee void realm. He's a little more selfish in that he gave himself a big house with lots of space and rooms for him to fill with stuff- but also he wanted somewhere big so that all his friends could stay with him :)

16. what is something about them that people would not expect just by looking at them?

ophelia - UHHH just how lazy she is, probably.. woman barely tolerates having to jog somewhere please let her sit down

beatrice - idk probably the fact she befriends murder boys like alice

alice - all the music he listens to is like crazy frog and caramelldansen

17. how good are they at choosing gifts for others?

ophelia - she'll either just outright ask you what you want, or she'll give you money or a gift card, she doesn't like having to guess for people

beatrice - she literally picks gifts for other people based on what SHE likes.. like she'll get u something cause she tinks it's cute it doesn't matter if u've ever mentioned it before

alice - if ur his friend then he will have a list of all ur interests in the back of his brain at all times and does a pretty good job picking out gifts thanks to that

18. do they have a certain skill that they're particularly proud of?

ophelia - she's very good at researching things and digging up information that a lot of people can't find so she thinks that's kind of epic for her

beatrice - she's good at dancing, video games, and memorizing things. she will show off these skills as much as she can.

alice - umm... eyeball removal...?

19. how would a stranger they just met describe them?

ophelia - UHHHH... she's just polite to strangers so i think she'd be described as just that?? she doesnt really leave lasting impressions on people

beatrice - cute, bubbly, maybe super annoying

alice - friendly? :D

20. how would a close friend they've known for a long time describe them?

ophelia - kinda stupid but really cute

beatrice - just a lil ray of sunshine :)

alice - if you're asking like.. kai or beatrice then it's "he's cute and fun and pretty and nice to hang out with!!" but if youre asking like percy or nero then its "hes creepy and gross and im gonna beat his ass"

Not even sure if that's even what I want, a relationship that's just barely one. The party had cleared out but the house was a state to behold. Nope. Not my problem. I turned on my heels and rejoined Vegas in the garage. ~~~~ For the next week I spent every possible non school moment in Pops. More so than usual. I was practically part of the furniture, just hoping to “accidentally” run into y/n again. It didn't go unnoticed by Betty, I just played it off as wanting to write more. What was her deal? What's wrong with my name? I mean it's not exactly conventional but people don't usually run away from me panicked when they hear it. I am the new Voldemort. I am he who should not be named. I laughed a loud at my stupid thoughts. It was late on Friday and Pops started to fill, I just had a feeling she wouldn't like it crowded, I didn't. I got a few strange looks from the couple next to me. I strolled home and collapsed onto the air mattress, it huffing beneath me. Archie won't be home for at least an hour, he's out with Veronica. I feel totally defeated, where am I to find this one girl in a sea of others...well none like her. Wait...she's not like the Riverdale girls because she isn't one! Oh I'm an idiot. I jumped off the “bed” and grabbed my jeans practically putting them on both legs at once. I grabbed my keys and as I went for the front door I ran into Archie and Veronica stumbling in. “Oh Jughead...we were just umm” “Don't need to explain Archie... actually please don't explain just stay off my mattress” I brushed past not wanting to prolong the awkwardness. I sat into Archie's truck, he's not going to appreciate this but he probably won't notice right now with Veronica to preoccupy him. I hate driving, hate it. I'm no good at it but I don't feel like walking to the Southside at quarter past midnight. After a few false starts, messing up the radio frequency and general terrible driving I arrived outside the Wyte Worm. After taking a few laps inside the bar I gave up. I'm not going to find her here, I wouldn't find me here why would I find her here.  Okay think if I were her who is similar to me where would I be. “Jughead? What are you doing here?” oh no. I'm dead. “You shouldn't be here Juggy” “Um yeah Dad sorry I was just looking for someone…” “Who? Who could you possibly be looking for here Jughead?” “Emmm Y/N” Dad took a step closer to me, eyes darkening. “And what would you want with her?” His tone was harsh. “Emm she left heart medication in Archie's when she was at my party” well that's a terrible lie but it needed to be serious enough of a thing to let behind that he'd tell me where she is “Why was she at your party?!” “Uh I'm not sure, wasn't everyone? Is there something wrong with her?” “You could say that” he bit. “You won't find her here anyway Juggy but I guess missing heart meds is kinda serious emmmm okay I'd say you'll probably find her lot over at the Podges...I'll come with you” “No!” He looked at me confused “well you're not going there by yourself”. Oh yeah leave it to now for my Dad to step up and care. “I won't, I'm going to just go home and ring the pharmacy on the pack tomorrow” I turned and walked briskly away from him. “Don't go there Jughead. I'm warning you.” He called after me, his seriousness radiating through across the distance. I waved in acknowledgement as I sat into the truck, no intention to listen to him. I thought the Whyte Worm was rough. Nothing could compare to Podges. Total drunken chaos. I stood on the porch of the pub ((bar etc)) taking a deep breath, regretting it instantly and  stepped inside to total ruins. Fighting and shouting and utter chaos. The stench of old booze and smoke was deeply imbedded in the sheer dna of the place. I am Nancy Drew, Nancy Jones...Jughead Drew? Ehhh we'll circle back to that later. I pulled up my hood and put my hands in my pockets. I want to completely fly under the radar. I didn't do a very good job at it. A weight was thrown into my side and I was pushed into a small coat closet. Expecting to be attacked I closed my eyes and braced for impact, when the pain didn't come I reluctantly opened my eyes and found a concern stricken y/n with arms crossed. “y/n!” I threw my arms around her and thankfully she didn't push me away... immediately. “What are you doing here Jughead?! Are you totally off your game?!”   “I umm I just wanted to see you…” not creepy at all there Juggy. Her furrowed face softened and she left out a half laugh. I watched her bite her lip and put her hand to her head. “Thats...that's  really really sweet but also really really stupid, you could get yourself killed here for being who you are...let alone for talking to me” she seemed genuinely concerned. “Why...why would I get myself killed” I don't understand what is going on, at least Voldemort knew why he was hated. “It's cause of who your dad is…..” she couldn't meet my eyes. Once again my dad is ruining something that could be amazing for me. “What?!” I practically shouted. Y/N moved closer to me and put a finger to my lips. I brushed my hand over hers and brought it to my cheek and kept it there. I don't know what it is about to her. She's magnetic. I want to be closer to her in every way possible. “Shh Jughead you have to be quiet, I know it seems chaotic and loud but I'm actually surprised they don't know you're here already. Your dad is a ring leader in the Serpents and my dad….my dad isn't” her voice was shaky. “Who is your dad?” “Y/D/N Y/L/N…..leader of the the Scorpions…” she sounded ashamed and I could stop my eyes from widening. “As in…” “Yeah, as in Southside Scorpions” she meet my eyes again, glossy and sad. “Oh” well shit. Breaks my heart. “Yeah Jughead, “Oh” is right, so yeah...I think you should go”  her hand dropped from my cheek and I missed it being there instantly. “Does it bother you?...does it bother you im not a Scorpion?” My voice was a little shaky for this question as I stepped closer to her again. “No, I know it should but it doesn't, I don't really fit in the gang mentality, my older brother will take  over leading not me, I don't belong to it like they want me to….does it bother you I'm not a Serpent?” “Oh yeah totally, can't even look at you" I laugh as she toyingly hits me into the chest. I know I'm with Betty but more than a bit of me wants to be with her. “Jugheeeeaaad” she whined playfully. I love how I'm making it impossible for her. The door swung open and y/n pushed me backwards beneath coats instantly. “Y/N? What..you...here..doing?” A man close to our age slurred out. “Nnnnnothing John...I was..i was just looking for my coat” her voice was entirely shaky and if that lad wasn't as out of it as he was he would have seen right through. “Oh alright well c'mere” John caught y/n roughly around the waist and she was visibly uncomfortable under his touch. He moved to kiss her lips as she turned her head, his lips meeting her cheek. Ugh. “Hey y/n, cop on” his tone was blunt and I could see the burning pressure he put on her wrist. “Ssssorry...I'll meet you out there my dad said he'll buy you a drink go go” his ears perked at the idea of a free drink and he briskly left the closet. Y/N let out the biggest sigh of relief I'd ever heard as she rubbed her red wrist. “Who was that?” I cautiously came out from beneath the coats. “No one” she brushed her hair out of her face and crossed her arms across her chest. “Was that...is that your boyfriend?” “Kinda…” “Oh…did he do that?” I pointed at the bruises along her arms where she had let the hoodie ride up. She instantly pulled it down covering them. “You need to go now” eyes fixed on my shoes. I moved closer to her and pulled the sleeve of her hoodie up. I held her arm in my hands and looked at the marbled marks decorating her arm. She stared at me while I couldn't take my eyes off the marks. I leaned in and kissed her again. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me in closer. I moved my hands around her waist. I felt like this is where I belong, with her... granted not in the closet but I don't mind, I'm with her. I suddenly felt tears land on my cheek but they didn't belong to me. “Please Jughead...you need to go” she whispered with teary eyes breaking the kiss and moving away from me. “Y/N…” I moved for her again. “No” she moved as though my touch might burn her. “I….emm okay...here's my number I wrote it down for you..please dont hesitate to use it...” I gave it to her and she sheepishly took it. “Okay then...bye y/n” I slowly edged past her as she stood looking in the spot I once occupied. ------------------------------------- Teehee Xx
