Yu Yu Hakusho – Live action

Okay… I liked it… was there problems? Yes, but it was done by people who loved the anime/manga and have for years! And we know how rare that is!

So watch it if you have seen the anime, or see it if you haven’t, then go watch the anime!

So… Spoiler? YES!

This is also writen by an insane woman! enjoy!

Ok. So the LA (Live Action) covered 2 main arks of the anime, 1st and the 3rd, it does miss out one of my fave arks of the anime, but that’s fine, they really did a good job of melding them together. But it does mean we don’t get to see Hiei go green and get eyes, or Kurama stepping in and getting stabbed >_<.

Yusuke: I liked his char, but he never stops being ‘moody teen’ and his neck must have hurt from being stuck out all day, I think he breaks a smile once, which is a shame for such a sassy funny character.

Kuwabara: At least they found a tall guy, and he did a really good job, he was funny, and even though he’s not my fav chara, I actually liked him in this LA. Especially when he was left to fight to save Keiko & Yukina.

Kurama: (aka Shuichi) Now, I do love this ancient fox. He was fine in this LA, he was meant to be almost emotionless, which he was. Though I didn’t like the bit where he used the mirror, it didn’t need the graphics, it’s an emotional moment, where Yusuke is also giving his life to save Kurama’s mother, and it’s a HUGE bonding moment between them that never really happened, but also, the mirror never said he was letting them off the sacrifice, it was just kinda ignored >_<.

Hiei: he wasn’t short enough, and even though all the wigs were gods awful, there was no white blaze in his hair. We also didn’t see him go all green and covered in eyes, so we missed out on learning more about his personality. He was just moody and quiet, though his fight is good, and he has a couple of good lines, other than that? You can forget he’s there :S which is strange for the guy’s who’s the 2nd favourit.

Yoko Kurama; Oh… ohhh… tehe. We will forget the tail, it was a little too accurate, BUT… oh how lovely he was! His fight was watched a few times. And they plans were lovely and accurate! Even though we shouldn’t be seeing him come out in that arch, we can forgive him coming out without help XD.

Keiko : She’s fine, just like the anime, they didn’t make her a soft weakling, she sticks up for herself when she needs to!

Yukina: /sigh… pathetic, sure her anime self is a little weak, but she’s more naïve that pathetic… also… some people really shouldn’t get lip filler, poor actress.

Botan: She’s not tall enough, but she they do keep her sister personality to the boys and Yusuke, which I liked… but no broom! >_<

Koenma (Enma Jr): It was a shame they couldn’t afford the CG to make him a baby XD.. but they got his adult form down, so I’ll let it off… BUT… I missed George >_<

Genkai : Just like in the anime, she’s also one of my favourite chara! She’s so old and cranky, and they did a great job in the LA of finding a woman who could pull it off! shame she wasn’t in it more >_<

The rest of the bad guys were also surprisingly accurate and true to the original material, like older Taguro, the GD budget also went on him, even if he looked like Robert Carlyle half the time.

Conclusion?: I enjoyed it! It was fun, it stuck to what it used of the original works. Apart from the 1st true fight, the fight scenes were fun and engaging. So I have no idea what it would be like to watch for people who’s never seen YYH, but if it gets even a few people watching the anime and loving it, that’s good enough for me ^_^

(PS: ATM in the UK, it’s streaming on ‘Crunchyroll’ I know it’s on their site, not so sure about it being there through amazon prime.)

20. What is your favorite aspect of Danganronpa?

I think both the character designs and character writing has always been one of dr's strong points. The character designs and art style are what particularly drew me in at first. I REALLY appreciate the unique-ness of the art style particularly in the way that the eyes are drawn. The tiny pupil approach is not one you see in anime often at all and it really makes the dr style stand out to me. Maybe its just because I don't give my characters pupils in my art, but i think it looks neat :^)

The character designs, in my opinion, are often immediately engaging and tell a lot about the characters right off the bat. I like chara designs that are a bit more detailed than not, but there is a balance that needs to be struck and i think a lot of dr designs do that for me.

As for the chara writing itself, I think dr does a good job of making something for everyone. Meaning that no matter what tropes you prefer for characters you are likely to find at least one character you enjoy. Yes the charas are trope-y but i think that is 100% fine because there is a good deal of variety to them as well.

Hehe, but I must say that to be fair, I feel like whatever story will be in Lucifer fate episode (unless it will be just memory of the past) it's probably setting up 10th anniversary. Definitely Baha fe felt like that. And this event also feels like it's setting up something even bigger. Like hopefully we will get some nice and satisfying conclusion, but it will also leave enough open. Idk, it's just feeling I get when reading this. Maybe reading Wheel of Time kind of broke me or maybe thinking more seriously about my own story, makes me pay more attention to things like that?

I feel like if Logia was to join us in their current state… they might know too much and i tmay become a problem narrativewise to have a chara who knows this much, so nerfing them in that way is highly logical.

HIII ok sorry it took me a couple days to answer this i sort of needed to collect my thoughts bc its been like a year since ive played any p3.

anyway i mean it when i say that i don't really blame him for what he did and trying to kill shinji, it's a LOT for a kid to take in and obviously he wasnt getting help from ppl like adults, and even tho akihiko was sort of a mentor for ken ig it also still hurt him bc akihiko seemed to be at least a little more..... at peace i guess? either way though everything w ken and shinji makes me very sad bc its like i Guess ken got what he wanted with shinji buuut ultimately it hit him pretty quickly that it wasn't going to help either way; it really hurt when he said he was going to die too after his plan to kill shinji, and in general it still makes my skin crawl to see him use his evoker like. thats a kid.....

so first off. i don't think frisk would be ambassador right away! they're 12 guys. maybe for like pr or like to represent the movement of peace and whatnot. but it would take a while for them to actually be in politics.

and i think they would get into politics as they get older though! they care about their found family dearly and want to make things happen!

and out of alllll the people they would make a good ambassador with their experience in the underground and personal relationships with the monsters. but also papyrus........... ehhhhhh the jackassery in politics wouldn't mix with him, but he would be good at educating people about monsters. and i think asgore kinda wants to retire, at least from any leadership role, and toriel wants to start anew as a schoolteacher.

the frisk peace movement would be a collective effort from everyone!!!!!!!!! mettaton would make people more accepting in the creative field, undye would be a good force in the community...........

i think frisk was 12 in undertale. also they're nb not arguing about this. fav color is light blue toriel told me in a dream. frisk is the type to pick up sticks and keep them, and collect acorns.

i think the underground would traumatize them a bit. i think they would need a break from monsters like undye or mettaton and flowey who scared the living shit out of them. they have weird phobias, and hate falling. They fall down a ditch and start sobbing and on one knows why. they stare weirdly at bodies of water. they have an extreme fear of the dark and have to carry a light wherever the go. they're very weird about socks. (trudging through snow and then water will do that to you). at age 14 toriel starts taking them to therapy. they need a little help determining what's real and what to do. they come back around though and everyone's happy again :) they are in due for an apology from everyone though. yall were justifiably mean.

chara stopped talking to them when they left the underground. frisk doesn't really know what tf was up with that, and at some point just kinda realizes and gets upset about it. when frisk goes back to the underground for reasons they get to talk. more about that later probably. they would make up though, but chara doesn't want to go back to living in their head. it isn't right. they go back to flowey.........

In all honesty? I think Idia very often get mischaracterized as "extremely introverted shy wibu shut in", while in fact he is (if not more) just as cunning and sly as any other cast in the series. Personally, I haven't read a lot of his cards & voicelines yet, since I'm not really into the game now. But throughout the entire main story 6 & GloMasq event, Idia is shown to be very capable of socializing/at least hold a convo normally, unlike Alphys (Undertale) - a character who is also described as shy & introverted. Idia is more of a "reversed/shut in because he is not used to socializing with other people and is scared by the idea" than "reversed/shut in because he is a typical wibu no life introverted man". It make more sense considering his backstory, really. He is also shown to have issues regarding his identity and how he appears infront of other people.

It really feel more like he is not content with (I'd even dare say hate) his identity (as shown that he is not happy that his future is not decided by him, and he has to stuck with Styx and Woe Island for the rest of his life without any of his saying). Then after the death of human Ortho, he just... hate himself even more. He struggled with himself and his identity so much he started to distance himself even further from the outside world, ultimately ending up isolated in his room with gaming (an indoor activity) as a main hobby.

...Or maybe I'm just projecting myself onto him. Who knows.

His manner of speaking in gamer terms is also lost in his fanworks too (ノ´；Д；`) ノ That's something I really like about him

i finally got around to editing the photos that i took when i visited the subway museum two weeks ago

found out about the museum through some featured blog post i think?? and i thought it was pretty cool that they had interactive zones and games?? after all museums are usually just a Look But No Touch kind of deal so anything different would be intriguing

but the promise of a Fun Time didn’t completely sell me the idea of going uNTIL i saw the glorious definitely-not-a-footlong subway sandwich plush in their merch section and i knew i had to acquire one for myself

yeahhh something about fast food merch rly appeals to me :// can’t help it

anyway i didn’t wanna go alone so i got G to come with (and conveniently the subway museum was close to the national museum so we could go back to see the exhibition we missed the last time)

in order to get a pair of tickets for the museum we had to spend at least $20 in a single receipt at subway and that was ez game bc G can eat a footlong by himself

usually i’d order just a sandwich but my adventurous spirit prompted me to also get the broccoli and cheese soup

too bad they didn’t have fake ingredients to go with the set but i think the kids would have a field day with any loose pieces so maybe it was a good decision not to have any

for some reason there’s a room dedicated to food panda?? the inside was just a stark contrast to the rest of the exhibition

the whole room was bathed in pinkness in an aesthetic kind of way

minigames were stationed all around the place and completing each game gives you different subway ingredients (like sauces and breads and meats and veggies)

at the end of the exhibition you can assemble your own custom subway combination with whatever ingredients you collected

on the left is the squeeze-the-sauce game and on the right is the slap-the-dough game

and holy shit i was not expecting a workout session?? my arms were so achy after smacking the buttons and squeezing tubes

there was also a spot-the-difference type of game for meats (i quite like that one bc it’s the least physically exhausting) and a fruit ninja type of game for the veggies

i didn’t know that you had to replay the games to collect all the ingredients bc the rewards were random :-( rnjesus did not give me tuna

ended up picking some ham type of meat and named my subway combination after chi

too bad chi just missed the sebun but wow that’s a lot of sandwiches made

i wanted to continue conquering the minigames to see if i can collect all the ingredients but that plan was scrapped pretty quickly when we saw how crowded the place was getting and how long the queues for the games were

so!! i decided to take another walk around the museum except this time chi and cha will be out to play too~

someone thought chi and cha were part of the display and started taking photos immediately after i left the scene askdkdsalds

idk if i should’ve said anything?? like maybe they just wanted to take a pic of the set bUT they were specifically taking close-ups where chi and cha were so?? i just let them?? chi and cha are cute so why not right??

gonna end the post here!! we went to the off/on exhibition at the national museum next and i took some photos but aaaaa laze!!!! the laziness has me in a chokehold!!!!
