THE LAST VD. FINALLY. we're very close to the end of trial 1, now there's only riku and reina's interrogation + their trial results left.
thank you so much for all your support btw! it's still so hard for me to believe that someone would find these guys interesting enough to read all of this 😭💖💕
(divider link)
(door opens)
Eiji: Hello, Prisoner 010.
Reina: Oh! Hello there, Guard-san! Can't believe it's already time for my interrogation! So excited~
Miki: .. Y-you're excited for your own interrogation?
Reina: Of course! I'd love to answer any of your questions.
Reina: Ehehe, it's kinda like.. I don't know, spending the night talking to your friends and getting to know each other better.
Reina: I miss that feeling, not gonna lie.
Eiji: .. I'm glad that you're the last prisoner. You all are way too weird for me to understand.
Eiji: Well, it's not like I want to understand you. I just have to learn more about your crime and then I can vote you guilty without feeling like I've made a mistake.
Reina: Oh, don't worry about that, Guard-san.
Reina: You don't even need to interrogate me to understand why you should vote me guilty.
Eiji: Yeah, sure, you've been talking about how dangerous you are since you got here.
Reina: Well, I am dangerous. You're literally talking to a serial killer right now-
Eiji: Anyway, Prisoner 010, Himura Reina. 20 years old, unemployed.
Eiji: Huh. So you're not even a college student or anything like that?
Reina: Nope. I don't see why someone like me should get an education.
Reina: Also, from what Eiko-chan and Yurika-chan have told me, it sounds very hard. I don't wanna go through something like that.
Reina: We only live once after all. So I wanna spend my life having fun with the people I love~
Miki: Oh, what do you do for fun, Himura-san?
Reina: Kill people, steal their stuff or maybe just beat them up!
Miki: O-oh.
Eiji: And.. you really do it just for fun?
Reina: Yep.
Reina: What, did you expect me to have a deep and tragic reason for it?
Reina: Sorry, I don't have one.
Reina: Oh, I can come up with one right now though! Let's see..
Miki: U-um, sorry, Himura-san, but..
Miki: I still think that you most likely do have a reason to act like that.
Reina: Really? Why?
Miki: Well.. I believe that when someone does a bad thing, they always have some kind of reason to do it.
Miki: Even when they think they don't have it.
Miki: Because.. If everything was fine, if they had nothing to worry about and if they had no problems at all, why would they go this far? Why would they do something so horrible?
Miki: And even if it's "just for fun", it probably just means that maybe there's something wrong with their mental state or the way they see the world.
Miki: So.. Even if you're someone who probably deserves to be punished, I still want to understand you.
Reina: .. Huh.
Reina: *laughs*
Reina: You sure are funny.
Reina: Sorry, but again, I really don't think I had a reason to do all those things.
Reina: My life was perfect. I wouldn't say I come from a rich family, but we certainly had a lot of money. Both of my parents are alive and well. I have a lot of friends and all of them love me and see me as their leader.
Reina: So like, I don't really have a sad backstory or anything like that.
Eiji: .. Hey.
Eiji: When did you start committing all these crimes? And why?
Reina: Ohhh, that's a nice question, Guard-san! Let me think..
Reina: Hm.. I think I was like 16 or something? I just thought that stealing something from an annoying old lady would be funny.
Eiji: I see. And what did you do with that thing?
Reina: It was a pretty expensive necklace and I gave it to my mom as a birthday gift. I forgot to get something for her, so I thought it would be perfect. And I was right.
Reina: She had no idea where I got the money to buy it, so she just assumed I picked it for her and my dad bought it. He also forgot to get a gift for her, so he played along, but he did yell at me after that.
Reina: So ungrateful..
Miki: So you did have a reason to do it.
Reina: What do you mean? I just told you that I did it for fun! I didn't have any reason-
Miki: You said you found that old lady annoying, right? Did she do something bad to annoy you?
Reina: .. I guess she just didn't like kids. She hated seeing me and my little brother play together, so..
Miki: See? You did have a reason to steal something from her, Himura-san. You didn't just do it because you thought it would be "funny".
Miki: You got mad at that old woman and you stole that necklace from her. It's like.. you tried to "protect yourself" from her in some way? Maybe your little brother too.
Reina: ...
Reina: Haha.. Wow, you really should become a therapist.
Miki: Um, is that a compliment?..
Miki: Oh, by the way, what was your relationship with your little brother like? I'm assuming you two got along well, since your life was so great and-
Reina: Oops, sorry, can't tell you! I've said that I will answer any of your questions, but a cool criminal always has to have at least some secrets~
Eiji: Now you're acting even more suspicious.
Eiji: Okay, fine, if you're a serial killer, describe all of your murders right now. I'm listening.
Reina: Huh? What's with the sudden change of topic?
Eiji: I'm waiting, Reina.
Reina: Uh, f-fine! Let's see..
Reina: Okay, I think I committed my first murder when I was 17? Yeah, I think it was my classmate. Haha, I hated her so much..
Miki: .. Himura-san, I'm sorry, but the way you talk about your crimes is very strange to me.
Reina: What do you mean by that, Miki-chan?
Miki: U-um, actually, I'm also a guard, so-
Reina: Haha, I know, I know, sorry. You're just very cute, that's all.
Eiji: "That's like.. the second prisoner in a row. What's with them complimenting her all of a sudden?"
Eiji: "They're just trying to make her vote them innocent, aren't they?"
Miki: Well.. You talk about them like you don't remember them that well.
Miki: I can understand talking like that about minor crimes, but murders..
Reina: When you're a serial killer like me, you eventually stop counting and caring about your victims.
Reina: Of course, I don't remember most of my murders now.
Miki: !
Miki: This is it!
Miki: Himura-san, if you don't care about how many murders you've committed, then why do you keep mentioning how dangerous and scary you are?
Miki: Why do you keep saying that we should vote you guilty if you don't even care about your crimes?
Miki: I'll take Chiba-san as an example. She wanted us to vote her guilty because she was tired of people saying that her crime was "a good thing".
Miki: And most prisoners here want us to vote them innocent because they care about their crimes. They either know that they've done something wrong, but they're too scared of the consequences, or they think that they were in the right and they refuse to admit that they've done something bad.
Miki: If you don't even care about your crimes, then surely you won't mind us voting you innocent, right? I mean, those crimes don't even matter to you..
Reina: ...
Eiji: .. You've got nothing to say, huh?
Miki: That means you do care about your crimes, Himura-san. You probably care about them most than any other prisoners care about their own murders.
Miki: I just.. I can't believe that you can walk around and call yourself a murderer so proudly, but also refuse to talk about your murders whenever someone asks you about them. Or you just try to come up with something right after hearing the question.
Miki: If you've committed so many crimes and you've been killing people since you were only 17 years old, then why did they make you come to Milgram only now?
Reina: ...
Miki: Say something now, Himura-san. Please.
Reina: .. Wow, you sure are smart!
Miki: I MEANT "SAY SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR CRIMES"!
Miki: ...
Miki: .. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, I'm so-
Eiji: It's okay, Guard 002. Good job.
Eiji: Let me handle this.
Eiji: (to Reina) So, do you have anything to say about your last victim? You know, maybe that last murder of yours will help us figure out why you're here.
Reina: .. Haha, sure!
Reina: Let me think-
Eiji: Stop thinking, Prisoner 010. Just say it. Just tell us the truth.
Eiji: Stop trying to evade the question.
Reina: It was a kid.
Miki: .. What?
Reina: Oh, sorry, he wasn't as young as Asahi-kun.
Reina: He was fifteen, actually.
Reina: And I killed him! I killed him just because this is how cruel I am!
Eiji: Give us more details. How did it happen?
Reina: .. I think this should be enough though.
Reina: Like, come on, Guard-san, I literally told you that I killed a child! Do it, vote me guilty!
Reina: This is such an easy decision, you don't even have to think twice about it!
Reina: So go on and do it! Do it!
(bell rings, machinery sounds)
Eiji: .. You're the last prisoner we're interrogating, by the way.
Reina: Ehehe, well, I hope you still have some energy left. You also have to watch my video, right?
Reina: So please make sure to watch it closely~ You will see all the horrible crimes I've committed.. I'm so excited!
Miki: .. If you really were so excited, you would just tell us everything right now.
Reina: Um.. Well, where's the fun in that?
Reina: It's your job to figure out what actually happened! So I trust you will do the right decision.
Reina: .. You will vote me guilty, right?
Eiji: Who knows.
Reina: Huh?
Reina: But.. Guard-san, aren't you the one who's obsessed with punishing criminals and all that?
Reina: Look at me! Look at me, I'm the worst murderer here! I definitely deserve to-
Eiji: Maybe the best punishment for you would be being voted innocent and living with the knowledge that you've done something wrong and you can't go back.
Eiji: Miki, how about you try saying the line this time?
Eiji: I'm a little tired of it, to be honest.
Miki: Um.. O-okay!
Miki: Prisoner 010, Reina, sing your sins!

Tea Time Tribulation pt. I
The following is inspired by the stories @shortpirateking and @miki-13. Please follow them, they’re really awesome people.
Ofelia stared out of her balcony, her hand pressed down on her face as it held her chin up. She hadn’t left her chambers in for a while and truth be told, she’d much rather have it that way.
Since the day of her Ownership Ceremony, Ofelia’s been concealing herself within her bed chamber to avoid the very “lords” who think they have the power over anyone or anything that fascinates them. She barely got away from being punished when she tried to ran away from the ceremony thanks to the humans who defended her honor.
She knew that the skeksis wouldn’t easily let someone who humiliated them go, let alone a human that they burn their feet over that ran off and refuse to except their ownership, so she made extra precautions to make sure she doesn’t let the “lords” have their way with her. Even if it meant spending hours in one room.
At least its better than facing their twisted faces or their harsh discipline.
Although she never saw any demonstrations, she had heard of the way they would beat and hurt someone they believed should be punished, even those of their own alliance. If they weren’t giving a traitor thirty lashes, they would mutilate each other with any technique their distorted minds could think of.
The only thing that was worst, was the way they see humans.
If you weren’t a pet, you’d either be an accessory or a play thing. Nothing more than a mere object meant for pleasing and pleasuring their “lords”. Just to stand there, look pretty, and do whatever the “lords” demanded you to do. No matter how unpleasant it made them feel. Like the pretty ornament they were meant to be.
It terrified her beyond belief. Ofelia wouldn’t try to make conversion or even look up at the skeksis. If she was in a narrow hallway with one of them, she’d try speed off to avoid them even eye contact with them. Living in the castle day after day, Ofelia had seen a lot. When the skeksis were around, what she wanted most of all was to be invisible.
Ofelia needed to leave this horrid place, she just hadn’t come up with a proper plan yet. She may had thought about several ways to leave, but each way she’d concocted would also come with its drawbacks. Ofelia could only deliberate the little that she should so that the skeksis didn’t get to suspicious of her already peculiar behavior.
It was already abnormal how she’s barely talks or how’s she’s easily scared, but the most disquieting thing is she doesn’t want anything to do with the “lords” to the point where she spends most days in her bedchamber. The only time Ofelia ever leaves was for meal times and bathing hours. Other than that, she spends most of her days inside her chamber; either drawing in her sketchbook, cogitate plans to escape, sit by her balcony, or sleep until the day is out.
She wasn’t completely alone though. Ofelia had seen and even talked to other humans in the castle on more than one occasion. The one she got along the best with was Aarya.
She respected the way they detested the skeksis and won’t allow them to hurt her or anyone else without a fight.
Though Aarya’s body appeared frail and weak because of their terminal illness, Ofelia had seen how strong and fierce they can be. The way Aarya’s crane turned into a scythe and defended her on that day of the ownership ceremony and how they screamed at the skeksis to leave her alone made her feel empowered and determined to return home.
She made a mental note to herself to thank them for their help when all of this is over.
She took a deep breath and her body hunched down further as she allowed herself to unwind. Her eyes locked on the fresh grass and clear water that was just beyond her reach. She nearly teared up in sorrow and envy as she grew jealous of the gelfling, podlings, and anyone or anything that can enjoy the beauty and freedom that Thra has gifted them while she and many others are forced into a prison that very little are aware of.
Despite that she tried to think of anything else to keep her mind of the harmful emotions that threaten to flow down her face. She tried to be strong; for Aarya, the other humans, and the family she’s taken away from.
Ofelia than began to fill her head with any verity of thoughts the girl could think of. She thought about her eventual freedom and dreamed of seeing her family, before it all retracted to the imprisonment she’s forced to endure. She didn’t even look away from the view when she heard her chamber door open, she’d just assume that it was either the podlings servants picking up her laundry or one of the gelfling paladins checking on her.
She continued to stare into Thra’s landscape that’s just bound her reach, her eyes hypnotized by beautiful scenery that toyed with her mind with the idea of escaping into the wild. It played with the dream of bathing her face in the sun without fear, considered the thought of dancing with the fresh wind while her hair flies everywhere, and imagined what the feeling of freedom is like when she finally escapes. When a shrill voice made her jump with fright.
“There you are”!
Ofelia jolted to the right, her heart beating a mile a minute as the shock was still settling in, and felt her face grow pale. Her eyes widen as in her line of vision was the skeksis’ Ornamentalist. His beak wide in a smile and plastered with scarlet lipstick.
“I figured you were in your little tower!” the flamboyant skeksis shrieked, his tone displayed as if he was trying to make a joke with her.
“I-it’s no-not ev-even th-that high,” Ofelia mumbled, growing more uncomfortable as she talked to the skeksis and more embarrassed as she stuttered.
The girl took a few steps back and her eyes darted to her chamber door, contemplating if she should flee when the skeksis hand grab her arm. This sudden attachment caused her to let out a little squeal, the Ornamentalist paid no mind and gave out an amazed giggle.
“Relax darling, it’s not like I’m going to bite you.” He said in the same manner as before.
He settled down next to her side of the baloney and cleared his throat. Ofelia watched in anticipation, wondering what could on of the “lords” want with her.
“I just want you to do a little something for me,” he explained, flipping his hair in Ofelia’s direction.
“A teensy-weensy favor, that is all I ask of you.” he amplified the first four words into a sing-song manner as if Ofelia was a toddler.
Ofelia hesitated and thought to herself. True she was nervous at what the skeksis could possibly request, but a part of her wanted to listen to what he had to say. Besides if it was quick, she could easily get it down fast enough to avoid any of the “lords”.
It’s probably best to see what he wants, she reasoned with herself.
She looked up at the flamboyant skeksis, giving off the signal that she was curious as to what he wanted.
“I would love for you to accompany me, to some marvelous tea time!” he did a little jump as he grew excited from that statement.
He then looked at Ofelia, expecting an answer from the girl. Ofelia could only stare back in disbelief. How could he expect her to say yes after he just stood there and told her to expect the skeksis as her masters. A deep breath formed in her lungs as Ofelia looked him straight in the eye and curled her lips into a repulsed expression.
“I-I d-don’t th-t-thi-think that wou-would be a g-good id-idea.” Ofelia mumbled, looking down at the floor.
She closed her eyes expecting outraged screaming from the skeksis, but there was nothing. She waited for him to scream, nothing. She expected him to yell at her, nothing but silence.
She looked up at his face and her pupils shrunk in shock.  He no longer looked like the excited skeksis from before, his loud attitude was replaced by irritation.  It reminded her the shock and anger of a parent when a child does something unspeakable. It terrified Ofelia as she feared what she’d do next, but she wasn’t about to give in.
She bit her lip before she tried to give out the best stern expression she could, crossing her arms and making it clear that she wasn’t interested in going. The skeksis probably knew she was terrified, but she wasn’t going to give him anymore of her fear than she already had.
“I see how it is” she heard him sneer. Ofelia tried to flee again, but found her arm in a firm grasp. She tried to claw at his nails, but the moment she’d lay her other hand on his own he tugged her towards him and nearly threw her on the floor.
“Your just gonna be selfish and do nothing other than stay in your crumped shack all day and let that pretty little face of yours wither away!”
Ofelia looked down at the floor again, trying to block the noise out as the skeksis continued to rant and rave about how Ofelia does nothing more but laze around her chamber.
“If that’s your decision fine, go ahead and lay there!” he exclaimed, but his face melted down into one of disappointment.
“It will be a shame really, especially sense you’ll be leaving some important guests alone and miserable” he hissed through his teeth.
That statement froze her in place. She could have left right there, but the way he stated the word “important” gained her interest. She looked at him again and tilted her head out of curiosity.
“Oh yes!” he beamed, “You rarely see them and it will be such a shame if they’ll be forced to suffer another day without you”.
Ofelia paused and thought to herself. Could he be talking about Aarya and the other humans? He did said they were important guests after all and she rarely came out of her room or even talk to anything for that matter. Just so she could avoid the monsters. Just so she’d avoid any danger.
“Come on,” she felt the skeksis’s hand touch the side of her face, and forced her to look at him.
“Just say yes”.
She froze, her eyes closed shut and thought about her opinions. It’s true that it would satisfy the skeksis, but it would be horrific to leave Aarya and the others alone with him. Just so she could avoid another day with the monster. She couldn’t be selfish after all they did for her.
She held out a hand towards the flamboyant skeksis for him to take, giving him a clear answer.
The skeksis beamed happily, his grin growing so wide that Ofelia swore it could scar his face. “I knew you’d agree. Oh, you’ll love it, it’ll be so special!”
