FAVORITE FICTIONAL CHARACTER: oh man, this is hard. im gonna say a tie between maglor and merrill for now, because they are my favourite elves.

When I'm about to throw a wedding party Verity's best friend Linda calls to urge her to throw a bachelorette party. A popup comes up to ask whether Verity wants to throw the party and I click yes.

This is how she ended up having Claremonts making their 4th baby in her bed. Funny how the husbands show up despite not being invited to the party. Yolanda is the happiest with the arrival of the topless dancers.

not to not post any text posts for weeks and then suddenly come online yelling abt my emotional support elves but u know what it highkey sucks that the sons of feanor were essentially fated to never be able to avenge for the coldblooded murder of their grandfather and the cruel slaying of their father, unable to even reclaim even a small remanent of the life that has been stolen from them and their people, remaining dispossessed for ever. like, this shit, professor tolkien, feels bad, feels inorganic!! 

and since im on it, i’m suddenly engulfed with rage over the fact that maedhros, out of all seven of them, literally fucking killed himself in a moment of utter despair when he genuinely felt that he was as bad as the being/person who drove his father mad with grief for no good reason and then subjected him to decades of actual torture for Fucking Funsies (the trauma from which has troubled him for the remaining CENTURIES of his life). Absolutely horrible and unfair that fate has it that he would come to believe he had become just as bad as the aforementioned douchebag (which, by the way, isn’t remotely true despite his own transgressions!!) and then he fucking... killed himself over it. jesus H. Christ. no peace and healing for mr maedhros! not even chance to make up for past transgressions for mr maedhros! where are the Missing Rights for this elf professor tolkien??? where are they?????

me, thinking abt my tolkien/star wars crossover AU: so anyways when i stick these elves from silmarillion into the old republic period i’m just gonna make them all humans, it’s just too goofy to introduce some sort of pointy ear near-human species that never existed in star wars universe--

i think at this point my favourite type of people in fantasy is basically like, complicated but ultimately good natured people from a warrior culture with a strong affinity to crafts and smithworks.

whenever i see quotes and passages that romanticizes rage and anger i just can’t relate scoob! They are beautifully written stuff, usually, but oh I strongly disagree with the sentiment and i know it is an unpopular opinion but i’ve known rage all my life, and i’ve hated it all my life! it’s hideous! And it really isn’t even rage people are romanticizing, it is something similar: an emotional force that calls people to action in the face of wrongs great or small. But i don’t see that as rage, it is anger born from very specific conditions, and anger--yes, even “righteous” anger--needs to be contained by wisdom and guidance or else it’d only lead to destruction. It is fire: it needs to be controlled and guided or else it’d only burned everything down. But rage is something different and yet the same: rage is dark, and it  illuminates nothing. when people wax poetics about “rage”, usually they are talking about something afflicted with defiance and strength and courage: the refusal to be silent and pliant in the face of oppression and injustice that manifests as something akin to rage. But that is not rage in truth; rage is darkness and it twists and eats away everything it touches and that is all there is to it. There is no honour to rage, there is no goodness to rage, there is no courage to rage. It is horrible and scary and i hate it. Stay away from rage, keep it at bay, but remains true and defiant. Now, that, that should be romanticized: Defiance and courage, and strength that comes from restraint and patience. Not rage, anything but rage.

speaking of the mandalorian the show, i just realize mr filioni introduced yet another force sensitive child in the pre-sequel/new republic era. We don’t even know what happened to jacen syndulla in the new republic/sequel (resistance) era, and now we got yet another force sensitive child? don’t tell me they both die by [redacted] ren’s hands....i s2g....

after im back playing swgoh for like, two weeks or so i finally again made it  above #1000 of the arena. i know for a fact im gonna get beat down to 1100 tomorrow but like, i just wanna savour the moment 😔😔😔

catching up on star wars: watching the mandalorian, the latest couple of clone war episodes AND reading the last couple of issues of doctor Aphra at the same time.....Now, i knew new tcw episodes were good but i didn’t expect how much i will like the mandalorian, and i ESPECIALLY didn’t expect how much i would have liked a new issue of doctor aphra...........the Quality Content that i’ve missed!

my brain is atrocious. i saw the caption of a maedhros fanart that says “dark lord maedhros” and my brain somehow thought of “SITH lord maedhros” and i was like “well red hair DOES look pretty good with red lightsaber and a left handed sith lord with long red hair and a mechanical right hand and maybe a lightsaber scar running vertically across his face seem like a Look^tm to me! ” and the next thing i know i have a tolkien (silmarillion) x star wars crossover AU and the mere summary of the main storyline is 5000 words long.

the concept of this AU is so funny because i basically take the characters (mainly noldor elves) from the prequel of the prequel of lord of the rings (which is silmarillion) and stick them and the thematic elements in their stories into prequel of the prequel of star wars universe (which is roughly kotor/swtor old republic era where revan is dicking around) and this AU actually fucking works....so well? at least i think it works really well. my brain just crushes two story universes im passionate about and voila! 

like, out of all my fanfic WIPS, this project and the celebrimbor lives AU project that extends right into the end of events of lord of the rings are the two fanfic projects im most passionate abt and I REALLY hope my useless procrastinating self can make something out of the both projects so they wouldn’t become forgotten WIPs in months from now on.
