Another thing about Milgram project: we're asked to judge the guilt (not forgive) / innocence (forgive) of the individual inmate, but a lot of them committed their "crime" because society had failed them in some way, and we don't have the ability to judge the institution/society for failing them the same way as we are asked to judge the individual characters for their actions. In other words, all this time we've been judging the individual when we should've been judging the institution.

Like. The Milgram system does fit Kotoko's line about "sympathy is useless, hate evil for the evil that it is" in that we are asked to judge/punish the character (individual) without a chance to change or judge the institutions that led to the various "murders" (the system), and yet she's voted guilty with the highest guilt percentage ever for basically advocating what Milgram asks us to do anyway.

It's very annoying to see people discuss Amane innocent voters right now as though they're being really pushy about voting her innocent. When the day her video dropped, people voting her guilty boiled those voting her innocent down to being cult supporters and said voting her innocent because she was an abuse victim was a reduction of her character. Despite literally every other trial being reduced to one thing on some level. I.E Shidou's trial being reduced to his usefulness in the prison if prisoners continue to get injured. Yuno's case being reduced to a pro vs anti-abortion debate etc.

Actually, most innocent voters are capable of being annoying as hell, but the fact that the line is being drawn at people actually engaging with the story of religious trauma and abuse with seriousness says a lot. All the prisoners are murderers so making their cases about anything other than the crimes/sins they've committed is a reduction of their characters and stories regardless of how it's done. It's not Amane Innocent Voters fault that some people find the prospect of the twenty-nine year old man being taken out by a twelve year old funny, but simply put that's not the only reason people are voting Amane innocent.

Like it's funny the guy wanted a death sentence from a child since he got in here and now he's going to get one whether he wants it or not. That's like the perfect example of comedy and karma. Also if Shidou is so helpful within the prison why haven't we seen Mahiru in the Portal Timeline since she got a wheel chair and why has her health been increasingly implied to be getting worse instead of better despite her care increasing?

It's super odd to me that a broken arm and leg take six to eight weeks to heal, but it's been several months since the attacks, yet Mahiru seems to have been regressing instead of progressing. Now needing two constant caretakers and around the clock attention. So, I'm doubtful about Shidou's quality of care. He's killed his patients before and has stated he can't stop, and now Mahiru is his patient. So Amane warning her about bringing death onto herself may not have been entirely incorrect.

Shidou is the worst person to get care from. He is in here for malpractice. I don't understand why people are trusting him to do a job he already failed to properly do before now while simultaneously deciding to attach his safety and ability to possibly commit malpractice again onto another person's verdict. Especially when whatever Amane has planned is frankly beyond us at this point, and the verdict may not even impact said plan or her ability to implement it.

To me, at the end of the day, it's about judging the sin/crime. Trying to play five d chess isn't going to work here. Those are just my thoughts though.

He is a 29 year old man that wears black floral flannel t-shirts unironically and has the type of sadness in his eyes you only see in European BL comics. Also he's the equivalent of a fucked up pretty boy. I've dropped an actual explanation of who he is below (including a TLDR below) but if you don't wanna read any of that please know he has such autistic swagger. Also he has two songs and they go so hard. (Also linked below!!) He also canonically got kicked in the shin one time. He's also canonically trying to make friends with a child that hates his guts for being a doctor. Hes such a boyfail. I love him. [continued under the cut]

[continued] Oh dear, here we go! Shidou Kirisaki is a pathetic man. He had a wife and 2 or 3 kids (its been a while okay -._-.) that he loved dearly. While he was working at the hospital, he got news of his wife and kids getting into a car crash. (I believe, may have been another type of accident? I'm fairly confident it was a car crash, however.) He rushed there as soon as possible, only to find that his kids had died. His wife was the only one who survived, but she was in a braindead state and had some irreparable organ damage from her injuries.

Grief-stricken and desperate, Shidou devised a plan. Shidou tricked and manipulated dozens of families into giving up their braindead (or horribly injured) family member's organs (sometimes without their knowledge!) in order to use for organ transplants in an effort to revive his wife. Despite his best efforts, none of it worked. His schemes were eventually caught, but before he could face any legal consequences, he was kidnapped.

Shidou Kirisaki was brought to this prison called "MILGRAM". It was quickly explained why all the prisoners were there; they were all murders, and the guard had the job of deciding if they could be forgiven or not for their crime. The prison guard knew nothing about them, but would figure it out through interrogations and a special machine that exports the prisoners' thoughts and memories as music videos. Instead of being horrified like any normal person would, Shidou saw this as a great opportunity. When it came time for his interrogation, he begged to be voted guilty. He believed that MILGRAM would "give him the ending he's most suited for". The prison guard basically told him to fuck off, and after watching the music video, he was voted forgiven anyways. (Votes are casted by the fandom btw!! It was the fandom that voted him guilty, the prison guard is the in-series personification of us.)

The prisoners that were voted guilty ended up getting attacked after the votes were released, and 2 ended up horribly injured. Shidou's medical skills proved to be very important, as he managed to treat these 2 and even save one of them from certain death. Although Shidou begged to be voted guilty, the only reason he was able to save these prisoners is because he was voted innocent. Its cruel irony that made Shidou realize that maybe he really was important, that he did actually want to be innocent in order to help those in need. He's still conflicted at this point in the series, but it truly is refreshing to see him with a newfound self-worth.

TLDR: Shidou used to be a surgeon. After his kids died in a car crash and his wife was horribly injured, Shidou was incredibly desperate to get them back. Knowing only his wife was able to be saved, he started deceiving families into donating their ill family member's organs and trying to use them in an attempt to save his wife. Eventually, he was found out and got brought to a prison where his fate was to be decided by us, the viewers (although this was represented by a guard in-series). He begged to be voted guilty, not being able to forgive himself for the lives he'd destroyed. However, the viewers voted him innocent. It was only because of his innocent verdict that he was able to treat some prisoners who got attacked after the release of their verdicts, and he ended up realizing that his life was important to the survival of the prisoners. His story makes me so happy. The series is still ongoing, but seeing his faith get somewhat restored was so pleasing. I love him so much. Hes such a loser.

My Analysis on Yuno's MV

Before we start, keep in mind, I don't really care about whether or not she had an abortion, since that's obviously her "crime", but that's like I said, not what we should base our votes on. instead I'd like to focus on Yuno's actual feelings to decide her vote. The results video for trial one already emphasized how our votes affirm/negate their mindsets. Hence, I don't think it matters what any prisoner has done, but rather we should focus on their mentality

I think that this MV basically does confirm that Yuno is doing compensated dating (hence the money being given to her at the start) and the sexual ambience of the entire video. Each of her different personas represents a different customer she has and her persona made for that client. The only exception is the persona in lingerie, who I believe represents not her true self, but her persona of herself towards us as the audience. Every time of course then, other versions of her hug or caress her, it's representing the way her clients give her "warmth".

Her version in lingerie though, is how she wants us to see her, not as an naive school girl but a mature person capable making her own choices. Which my point here, is that there is no version of her that is just "herself" because Yuno doesn't allow herself to have her own identity, instead she bases her identity on who's she's with.

Now, the glasses here are made to represent our view of Yuno, that is "rose-colored" and just a victim (which she clearly is). The literal one wearing them is a stuffed rabbit (almost similar to the jackalope character hmm). What's interesting though. is that Yuno also has her own rose colored view of herself.. Her entire room where this takes place is entirely pink and so is her lingerie, and even when she takes the glasses, she literally puts them on herself. Showing that in her perception, she doesn't see her actions and the actions of these men she's dating to be anything wrong. Because in Yuno's eyes, she is being mature and making her own choices. That's why she wants a guilty vote, because it's to convince herself that if she's "mature" enough to be voted guilty, she's also mature enough to make these choices to do compensated dating. (Which interestingly, through how the lingerie esc Yuno portrays herself, it's clear that Yuno only really sees maturity as being "sexual".)

Of course though, she's not really happy you know? The second half of the video shows every version of herself miserable. Depending on compensated dating and her baby ("hooked up on this umbilical cord") to cope with her loneliness doesn't really make her happy. As much as Yuno wants to think of herself as an adult, she's still a kid with her main source of comfort and warmth (the coat) came from the version of herself in a school uniform (one primarily used by middle schoolers at that too). Her comfort with her situation is by acting like a younger kid (likely due to a client of hers having a fetish for that kinda stuff. which reflects a subtle commentary on how the sailor uniform has just become so sexualized by media).

I think the end of her video, when she breaks the glasses and just lies in bed before covering herself with her jacket is meant to show her closing herself off to others. She's already stopped talking to other's in milgram out of her belief that her innocent vote has affected how other's see her. With her breaking the lens, its meant to show her trying to break our perception of her. What's interesting though is that only ONE lens broken, which can show that her "rose colored" view of her actions still remains. By closing off her jacket, it shows that she's indefinetely closed herself off from others, and her only sense of warmth that she wants anymore is her relationships to her clients.

It's ironic cause I originally went into this video planning to vote her guilty and I still think first trial she SHOULD have been voted guilty, but I changed my stance. If anyone has any other opinions please comment them!! I love hearing theories and I think it's always great to hear from different sides.

Bad News of the Week:

Over the years, the EU has evolved from a purely economic alliance into a community of values. Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union makes this "respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights." And these values must be defended. Unfortunately, not only externally in bilateral relations with the whole world, but increasingly internally. Two incidents of the last week fill me with concern in this regard.

The highest body of the EU is the so-called Council, consisting of the heads of government of all member states. The presidency rotates every 6 months, and since July 1, 2021, it is held by Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša. The former constituent republic of socialist Yugoslavia and of it since 2004 first EU member is a European success story. A member of NATO and, since 2007, of the euro zone, Slovenia is now the most prosperous country in the Balkans. According to a 2020 assessment by the Bertelsmann Stiftung, it has achieved above-average success in its economic transformation and political development. And the United Nations Development Program ranks the parliamentary republic among the countries with very high human development.

So the European community of values should actually be in good hands with the head of government of this model student of democratization. Actually. Because Janša, to put it mildly, is polarizing. He repeatedly doubted that global warming in the context of climate change was man-made. He argues for the right of Slovenian citizens to carry firearms. He considers "cultural Marxism" a key threat to the European Union. He congratulated incumbent Donald Trump on his election victory in 2020 before the vote count ended. He has been investigated several times for corruption, once resulting in a prison sentence. He sympathizes with Identitarian movements. He constantly tries to undermine freedom of the press and independence of the judiciary. And and and...

Usually, an EU Council president is expected to moderate, to seek balance, to mediate, to push the general agenda forward, etc. But this agenda currently includes possible sanctions against member states if they do not respect the defined values. The headliner here is, of course, Viktor Orbán. And now Janša has backed Orbán in the dispute over a Hungarian law restricting minors' rights to information on homosexuality. It is to be feared that he will instrumentalize his temporary office - for the first time in its history - to support personal interests. And he will gladly do so against the EU itself.

Another essential body of the EU is the directly elected parliament. In it, the political camps form factions according to their basic orientation, with conservatives, social democrats, liberals and greens dominating. This stable structure, which reflects the preferences of EU citizens, is now facing a challenge: the right-wing populists.

Under the leadership of Marine Le Pen of France's Rassemblement National, Matteo Salvini of Italy's Lega and Viktor Orbán of Hungary's Fidesz, 16 parties explicitly belonging to the right-wing spectrum are preparing to build a new alliance. In addition to the above-mentioned parties, the corresponding parties from Poland, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria and the Netherlands are also part of the alliance.

The planned alliance is the "first stone" in the construction of an alliance to "reform Europe," according to the official declaration of intent. This alliance is the "basis of a common cultural and political work," adds Le Pen, Salvini calls the agreement a "charter of values" on the basis of which a Europe is to be built that is based "on freedom and identity instead of bureaucracy and standardization." In other words, they are planning the overthrow.

Good News of the Week:

A fundamental pillar of every democratic legal system is the principle of "giving the accused the benefit of the doubt". Even in ancient Rome, "In dubio pro reo" applied, and it is still true today: everyone must be presumed innocent until proven guilty. That is good and makes sense. In the 19th century, people in this country spoke of preferring to let twelve guilty people go free rather than hang one innocent person. Innocence weighed more than guilt. So far, so civilized.

Another legal principle in ancient Rome was "Ne bis in idem": (You can) not (be accused) twice for the same. This principle, too, has made it into the modern rule of law. Until last week. Because then the German Bundestag decided to change the underlying law. The background to this is the availability today of forensic and criminal technology resources and tools that did not exist in the past. The decision is causing a great deal of discussion among legal experts.

On the one hand, some see it as calling into question the legal authority of the judiciary. After all, the verdict must be valid - forever. Publicist Franziska Augstein (yes, she is his daughter) denounces this with verve under the headline "Forever suspect". The law would subject once accused to lifelong fear. They would face a lifetime of having their case retried. So what? Victims always have to suffer the consequences of a crime for life.

On the other hand, in some cases it is possible to prove guilt after the fact. I can remember a case in which, after twenty years, fiber and DNA traces led to the conviction of a perpetrator who had kidnapped a child and left it to die in captivity. But at that time he was acquitted for lack of evidence (which was technically not usable at that time). And therefore - "Ne bis in idem" - he could not be charged and convicted again. He remained a free man despite proven guilt. How do you want to explain this to the parents of this child? Everything in me bristles.

Other news of the last days: Bill Cosby was released early from prison. He was the first legally convicted celebrity in #metoo. So why was a clearly guilty man who drugged and raped women released early? For one thing, because many of his at least 60 victims were not considered in court because his acts were "time-barred" - another one of those issues that doesn't sit right in my head without complications. On the other hand, because there was a legal "formal error" in the agreement between two prosecutors. I also find it difficult to acknowledge this.

In this respect, I am satisfied that resourceful - and expensive, since it is usually the financial strength of a defendant that determines the quality of his defense (this, too, does not correspond to my sense of justice) - lawyers now have one less legal dodge at their disposal, which is questionable at least in some cases. For there is one principle of jurisprudence that cannot be shaken: proof beyond reasonable doubt. In my opinion, this has to count. And it should count regardless of when it came to light, by whom, and under what circumstances. Likewise victims should have a higher value than (proven!) perpetrators. After all, Justitia is supposed to be blind - and not stupid.

Personal happy moment of the week:

In French, my son got an A on a team assignment. That is remarkable. Because according to his own statement, he "hates" this school subject. Which is a shame, because after all, his stepmother, a French Canadian, and I speak and love this language. However, I have to concede to him that, especially at his age, the teacher is crucial (I just leave it there). And that the first year of a new subject under "pandemic circumstances" is anything but ideal. Nevertheless, his big sister should finally stop picking on this belle langue - after all, she is a role model!

I couldn't care less...

...that Germany has been kicked out of UEFA Euro 2020. The Belgium vs. Italy match on Friday, for example, clearly showed that there are simply much better teams at the moment. And apparently also better coaches - I really don't understand any of this, but some tactical lineups seemed questionable even to me. But that doesn't mean that I would root for England now ;-)

As I write this...

...only with the right hand, I suffer from the so called "Moderna arm" - it's a good thing that as a right-handed person I had the first COVID vaccination put into my left arm. My daughter had still told me to let my arm rotate vigorously in order to avoid exactly that. But when everyone else in the waiting area looked at me a little irritated, I let it go. That was probably a mistake.

Cartoon Analysis: "Pinky Malinky" Explained

DISCLAIMER! Yes, I do watched all 60 episodes of this show and cheked everything I possibly could about it (the show itself, two pilots, wikipedia and "nick animation podcast #48") before diving into this. So yeah, I know what I'm talking about, and yeah, this post got some heavy spoilers, so go away if you don't wanna see them.

First of all, I must say that this show is 50/50 thing. Some people like it and some people don't, it's fine and I totally get it. I just don't wanna hear any hate under this post. Let's all be respectful and kind 🐱

So, yesterday somebody asked me if "Pinky Malinky" has any plot. And I told that yes, yes it is. But of course "yes" isn't good enough if you here for the information, so let's discuss the whole thing in this long post. This series plot divided into three main arcs (there are some other arcs but they're not really important for the plot tho), which of course, lead into the bigger plotline. Today, I'm gonna fold all pieces of this plot puzzle and tell what this show basically is about

The beginning: Sackenhack and Mayor Happ arc

For those of you who don't know - Sackenhack is a town, where most of this show characters live. This is basically the most important thing to know, so let's start off with it. I found all this information in episodes "Hater" and "Pinky". The old Mayor of the town, Mayor Happ wanted to make this town as precious as possible. He started "Snow Games" (kinda on Olympic-game-thing in this universe) and also began a plan of building a lot of different constructions. Everything was good, until everyone realised that Sackenhack is a desert town. There NEVER was any snow or what so ever. The "Snow Games" were cancelled, many buildings and other structures were left unfinished, and the town fell into decay. Understanding his fault in all this mess, Mayor Happ vanished. Living nowadays in forest as a hermit, he once had a chance to meet Pinky in the episode "Hater". At first, he was pretending to be a Sackenhack hater called Mr. Sackenwack, which seemed very mean for Pinky, since he really likes his own town. Later, with the help of JJ's "creep app" they found his location. After a big reveal, Pinky finally realised that Mayor Happ and Mr. Sackenwack is the same person, and that he's beloved hero is also his hater. Some events after, the group was sitting in silence, until Happ said only one thing to Pinky: "I used to have such big dreams for this town. Now everything about it just reminds me of my failure...That's why I wanted you to delete your account. Everytime you posted something happy about Sackenhack it just made me... Sacken-Sad. So, what it's like to find out that your hero...is just some lame internet hater?" with a reply "Well, you're not what I expected, but, you're still really inspiring to me. I've got a lot of big ideas and not a lot of people understand them...I think I might run out of this town someday too)" Pinky goes home with his friends, and that's the end of Sackenhack/Mayor Happ ark.

Moving on to: Malinky's family arc

So, I guess, the first question you ask yourself when it comes to this particular show - why is Pinky a hotdog while both of his parents are just regular humans? Well, diving into this theme, let's discuss Malinky's family arc in general. We got most information about it in episodes "Pinky" and "Dreams", but there are also many cute facts about them in other episodes (which I'm not gonna discuss here because that's leads pretty much nowhere). So, before becoming a couple, Eric and Valerie were singers. They've done some singles and merchandise and were dreaming about a starry career. However, after some time they decided to become a family and raise a kid. The awful truth was then revealed - one of the members of Malinky's family, called Sasagio was an antro sausage, and Eric'c and Valerie's child probably gonna have the same mutation. This was a clearly hard thing to accept, but Valerie and Eric still wanted to have a kid and this didn't stopped them. Well, now they do have a son, but it's definitely not a regular kid. Raising the child in one, but raising a mutant-shapeshifter wiener is completely another. That's why they had to abandon their singers career. After founding all this information out on the old cassets left in the attic of Malinky's house in the episode "Dreams" Pinky realises - he literally crashed his parents dreams. Feeling guilty, he tries to bring them back to business, but only makes a bigger mess. Feeling even more sad and guilty, Pinky says to his parents that it's all his fault and no matter how, he'll do everything to fix the mess he made and make them singers, just as they dreamed. Eric and Valerie then just tell him that the real dream the've ever had - is to become a family, and raise the most sweet, cute and precious child, and that they love him no matter what. This brings an end to the Malinky's arc.

Finally, about main character: Pinky Malinky's arc

So, as you now know - Pinky was born an antropomorphic wiener. However - it doesn't bother him though. He thinks that being different is cool, and allways sees a better side in everything, literally spreading positivity and happiness. With the help of his two human friends, Babs and JJ, he tries to climb up to the career ladder. Anyways, something that weird and interesting still brings other people's attention, and one day Pinky being asked by some group of people (who allways being called just "camera guys") if they can make a documentary about him. Pinky agrees, and that's technically is a beginning of the series (which however was showed only in the last episode of season two, "Pinky"). In this episode also reveals how he became the new mascout and raised new "Snow Games". So, basically Pinky want's to organise "Snow Games" again, just like in old good times. But for this, also needs a mascout - The Snowball. That's why he starts a some kind of "vote for me as a mascout thing"...which fails. Sad Pinky goes to his schools principal to ask why everything failed. She tells him that that's because there never snowed in Sackenhack. Pinky says that he'll make it snow tonight, to become a mascout. Which of corse, wasn't for serious, but by accident, everyone in school heard that. Now Pinky really HAS to make it snow but the thing is he don't know how. With the help of JJ, Babs and Bob he tries to do this...and fails again. But then the truck with popcorn (JJ got him for sponsoring some company) blows up and...yeah, popcorn kinda looks like snow so technically Pinky becomes a new mascout. At the end of season three, in the episode "Wiener" goes a big reveal - the camera crew filmed him just to know enough information about him because he was going to participate in UMC (Ultimate. Mascout. Championship). However, Helga Hilltop from UMC says that he CAN'T participate. Competitions are only for human boys and girls, and Pinky clearly isn't one of them. He's a twisting, bending, shapeshifter sausage. Pinky says that if he can't participate because of his powers, he'll just try not to use them. At first, everything goes under the controll, but then Pinky fails miserably. After calling him a "filthy wiener" Helga disqualifys him. Sad and humilated, Pinky starts crying and thinking that he really doesn't belong anywhere and probably everything would be better off without someone not normal like him. But then some students along with JJ, Babs and Principal Phan are telling him that it's a complete nonsence, and who the hell decides who is and not normal. Besides, it's what on the inside that counts. After this, Pinky came up with the idea - that's really in the rules of the UMC that's what in the inside that counts. He comes back to the stage and perform as good as he can, not holding himself back anymore. After this, he lies that he was just the costume, and Babs and JJ are the ones who were the real mascouts. Helga says that it doesn't counts and no matter what other jujes think, he didn't won anything. But then everyone just disqualifys Helga because hell yeah, everything she said today sounded like a clear rasism, what the actual hell. Then Principal Phan says that now Pinky is an official mascout. Not the Snowball, just him themself, since he's the most inspiring person in the whole Sackenhack. This leads an end to the Pinky's arc and the series themself.

So this what it all is about. I hope I made everything in this post clear enough)

Starting to feel a little guilty because I don't plan on voting for La Riva? via /r/communism

Starting to feel a little guilty because I don't plan on voting for La Riva?

I decided in June that I wasn’t going to vote in the US election. I’m new to communism and it took me a while to fully understand why some communists were going to vote, but I think I now understand the Lenin quote about voting for a socialist party. However, I personally am still not planning on voting, not even for PSL. (I have mixed feelings about the PSL—nothing against La Riva personally). But as election day approaches, while I still plan on not voting, I'm starting to feel like maybe I'm missing something, or doing something wrong.

I know that it probably doesn't matter all that much. However, I see so many people on this sub tell other people to vote for La or say that they’re going to vote for La Riva (to clarify, there is literally nothing wrong with voting for her/saying you will—it’s just that every comment on a “communists’ thoughts on voting?” thread is “I’m voting for La Riva/you should vote for La Riva" and I have only seen a few people say that they also aren't going to vote, so it makes me think). I just read a post saying that the most correct thing for a communist to do is vote for her instead of abstaining from voting. I guess what I'm asking here is--is there a reason so many other communists are pushing people to go vote? Am I misinformed/mistaken? Is the fact that I'm starting to feel guilty for planning on not voting proof that I'm stuck in my liberal ways? (I'm probably just thinking about this too much, lol.)

This is a genuine concern of mine, and any and all answers to the questions I asked are appreciated, thanks.

This is the night of the Full Harvest Moon when are gathered, the Great Wheel turns yet again as Autumn comes strolling along in no great rush to get here understanding that everything happens in its own time. Such is the wisdom of Nature itself, that it does not hurry itself along to appease anyone no matter how much they complain! We wish the same could be said for those that we work with because sometimes humans can be incredibly unreasonable regarding how long things take to happen!

During this time many things begin to change, the Earth begins to prepare itself for its Golden Season when all the leaves on the trees will begin to change color and the air will get cooler and the ground will begin to harden signaling the time of the Great Harvest when the remaining crops will be gathered and the Earth will be put to bed so when the Death Season comes along those who work farms or have gardens of their own will have fresh soil to work with at the start of the Rebirthing Season. This is not unlike what we humans do all the time when it comes to our own situations regarding the people and organizations we deal with.

There are times when we are employed at places doing what we love and then after a while someone comes along and makes working there unbearable for one reason or another. When this happens we have the choice to simply quit (going from Summer to Winter, completely skipping over Autumn) and thus cause a collapse in the Seasons that make up our lives or like the Earth who takes its time to prepare for the harshness of winter by sending all wildlife that can't sustain to other areas or into hibernation and vegetation into a sort of suspended animation, we can seek alternate employment either at another location or with another company altogether.

If the Earth skipped Autumn and went straight to Winter, the entire ecosystem would collapse because there would be no food or shelter available to those who were not able to survive on what was available because sooner or later those resources will run out and starvation as well as freezing to death from having no shelter would be a constant threat.

ENKI, we all know that when you defied the Grand Council that you did so because your faith in us compelled you to insist that the humans you saved would take care of the island known as Earth and although there are many who think they can own the Earth because they have enough human currency to throw around, we also know that they can NEVER own Nature which is what truly governs it! The problem with the human condition is that over the years it has become VERY arrogant, oftentimes placing itself over the rest of the ecosystem and yet it is that very ecosystem that it relies on to keep it going! We have those who claim that if we truly cared for nature we would not eat animals but I contend that the ONLY reason that certain animals are here is BECAUSE they were meant to be a food source!

Just as the Lion eats the Zebra, just like the Spider eats the Fly, just like the Cat eats the Mouse, so do we humans eat Cows, Chickens, Pigs, Goats, Deer, Bison, Buffalo, Fish, Snails, Grasshoppers, Crickets etc, not because we are ABOVE them but because it's all part of the food chain and we humans are NOT above that either, in fact if a human were to get too close to an alligator or wander into the rainforest and run into a jaguar or even if were to get to close to an anaconda NONE of these creatures would think twice (or even ONCE for that matter) before making US dinner, nor would they feel any regret with having eaten meat instead of a nice salad! If people are to truly respect nature then they can start with not denying their own!

Hail NINHURSAG - Loving and Gracious wife of our Blessed NINGIZHEDA! You who are loyal to NINGIZHEDA and keeps his strength up (in more ways than one) we learn from you that faithfulness and fortitude are constant imperatives if anything is to survive the harshness of the Season! Sometimes it is not the Earth that turns cold but our own hearts and when this happens we must analyze the reason WHY it happened and if we conclude that the death of the relationship - be it personal or professional - is NOT our doing but that of the other party, then we need to decide if it is worth trying to save or if it is time to move on! Thankfully this has not occurred between the two of you and as such you are an inspiration to all to always stand by and fight with and for the one you love no matter who the aggressor might be!

Hail URURU - Eternal and Grand Creatrix of All Things - we pay our deepest respects to you! Without you the Multiverse would not have undergone the many transformations it has since it became aware of itself! Without you we would have no Hero named Gilgamesh! It was you who blessed him with the companionship of Enkidu after hearing the lamentations of the people as you knew that he was NOT heartless, he just did not understand what compassion was because he was raised to believe he was entitled to certain things in life and as such even HE had lessons to learn. So rather than give up on him, you provided the lesson through a new and dear friend who was for all intents and purposes the mirror image of himself!

Hail the Grand Council who brought down the flood! Am I praising the death and destruction generally speaking? Not at all. I AM however saying I can understand WHY it needed to happen. It occurred because ALL the living things of the time forgot themselves and became so corrupt that what happened THEN is really what is happening NOW - humans slaughtering animals for pleasure rather than food, destroying the Earth in the name of the Almighty Dollar because they felt entitled to do as they pleased with it rather than honor it as the home it was created to be and starting wars to kill off each other in senseless tirades that threatened existence itself yet again!

Do I feel it was a bit extreme to annihilate everything? Yes and No. I do because not everyone was guilty at the same time the punishment should fit the crime and with the extent of the damage the humans caused they left little room for ANY form of reparations to take place and what do you do when something you created ceases to perpetuate the creation as it was supposed to? You scrap the plan and you start over. If we are not careful this may happen again only this time it will NOT be at the hands of the Grand Council, it will be ENTIRELY at the hands of the humans who will bring it upon themselves and EVERYTHIHG ELSE! The point of the flood was to wipe the slate clean and give humans a fresh start in the hopes that they will get it right this time and yet once again we find ourselves in a similar cycle of senseless death and destruction! WE MUST WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE FOR US TO REVERSE THE CURRENT SITUATION!

We see how the severe LACK of communication or acceptance of another person's lifestyle has caused MANY lives to be ruined if not all together TAKEN! This is NOT acceptable behavior especially not from a race who likes to think that it is on the top of the food chain! The human race is currently the LEAST enlightened of all species on the planet! I have no qualms saying this because even if a dog bites its owner, it USUALLY only does so if it has been mistreated, it does not care AT ALL what their owner believes or who they are dating or who they plan to vote for, all the dog cares about is giving and receiving love and being treated with the same respect the human would want for itself, otherwise why should it defend its human if its human doesn't give a damn about it as well?

Humans need to learn that it isn't always about them all the time, in fact our main job was and still is conserving and preserving the planet and the ecosystem for ALL future generation across the board just as our Father stuck his neck out to protect US when he could have just let the deluge annihilate everything as it was supposed to! This is the lesson we REALLY need to glean from what ENKI did, he put his own well being on the back burner and his life in danger to do what had to be done at the time! We see our military personnel do the very same whenever they are deployed no matter where they are stationed! We 'civilians' may not have military training HOWEVER we DO have the skills needed to take care of things at home which is what makes how our Veterans are treated when they return all the more despicable because the government limits what actions can be taken to assist our Vets and how do they determine this? MONEY!!! Apparently the government has no problem sending them to war zones, spending BILLIONS on the war because the WAR is worth it, but when it comes to taking care of those who actually fought in those wars, there simply isn't any money to spare! Imagine where we would be had ENKI taken that same stance!!

This is what I mean when I say we have to wake up before it's too late - right now our governments and even 99% of Clergy are as corrupt as those humans back then were and we will be the engineers of our own downfall! I am SICK AND TIRED of hearing people say ignorant bullshit like "I don't care, I'm not going to be around in x amount of years" WELL GUESS WHAT - if you have CHILDREN and GRANDCHILDREN - they WILL be here in x amount of years! So when you say you don't care just because of that, what you are REALLY saying to all of THEM is that you don't give a rats ass about them OR their future and that even as small children they are on their own! Think about that the next time you decide to announce your position on the planet and ITS future!

Now more than anything we need to eradicate that which is the underlying cause of the problem - we need to get more people to stand up against terrorist factions no matter WHAT religion they represent; this includes Islam as well as Christianity, Judaism and even some groups who call themselves Satanists but in NO WAY represent Satan, Satanism or even HUMANITY! Those who use their religion as a weapon of oppression, repression, misogyny, slavery, rape and murder need to be destroyed because they are so full of their own self-righteousness they don't care WHO they attack as they will even attack their own if those who may share the faith generally speaking do not adhere to the extremes that these psychopaths demand they do! World leaders who also terrorize their people into submission to the point where they are not allowed to even acknowledge the world beyond their borders must also be done away with! They are creating an environment where they deem EVERYTHING to be an act of aggression or war and putting their own people in harm's way and if the people DON'T pretend they agree with the so called leader then THEY will be arrested for TREASON! This is NOT why ENKI saved us, he saved us because he believed that we were better than what we had become and now we are reverting back to the very actions that made the Flood necessary!

There are a lot of things that need fixing in this world, but we need to take the time to work on ourselves as well because there is always room for improvement on our own parts as well! Personal evolution and growth are absolutely necessary in order to adequately provide not only for ourselves but our Families both Blood and Spiritual as well as those on the other side of the Great Divide and the planet itself! Our ever-loving Father ENKI is always willing to give his unwavering support to those who do what needs to be done in order to help Life carry on and maintain its course while they are doing what they need to do to advance their own living situations! They say that the only way to multiply happiness is to divide it and I agree!

This does not mean to glue rose colored glasses to your face and pretend everything is peachy when it isn't, it DOES mean that we should help one another out when we can by donating food to local shelters and food banks, those who own businesses can employ the homeless who are looking to improve THEIR situations and help them regain their self respect by becoming productive members of society! There are many smaller things that can be done to change the bigger picture and we all need to throw our hats into the ring to make it happen! No one person can do it all and its time we stopped acting like it’s everyone else's responsibility except ours!

This is not to say that everyone we try to help will be grateful or that it will even work out giving someone a job, there are people out there who only want to take advantage of someone else's good deed, this should NOT prevent anyone else from being afforded an opportunity to excel! The IMPORTANT thing is to put forth the effort so that at least the one who DOES want to go the extra mile has a fighting chance to do so! Unfortunately it has gotten to the point where the manipulators and lost causes have overshadowed those who just fell on hard times and are looking to do whatever they have to to get back on their feet again! We should help build one another up rather than tearing our communities down over paranoia that resulted from having been burned! Things happen but the ONLY people to blame are the ones who are holding the matches, not the one trying to put out the fire! If we work together we CAN change the human environment and maybe even IMPROVE on a thing or two while we're at it!
