One thing that came with being thicker than others for the majority of your life, you often doubted people's ability to be able to carry you. 

Maybe it was a skill issue regarding them, but each time without fail, the men in your life had asked and failed to pick you up, which ended up just embarrassing both parties. 

That was before you had met Steve. Steve was so ridiculously strong, and he loved to show off, especially after you'd told him about the others' past failures.

I like Captain America angst as much as the next person but I especially like it when Steve doesn't hate being Captain America and uses his symbol/title to bring joy to people who admire him.

Maybe I'm mixing up two different Steve right now, but I see a lot of portrayals of Steve hating the mantle, hating his admirers and hating the attention which I understand to a certain point, truly. But I think for Steve, there has to be a certain amount of...sameness or relation with Captain America and Steve Rogers. Yes, it's a heavy weight at times, but I don't think that burden is always a negative to Steve, especially since he knows (on some level) the importance and hope Captain America holds for people.

I just have a lot of feelings about Steve knowing that while he can be something outside that, he isn't COSPLAYING someone he isn't while he's in uniform. Steve Rogers made Captain America so loved, NOT the other way around. Those two identies don't need to be totally separate because they are BOTH him.

This all might just apply to a more healed and cared for version of Steve than we see in the MCU, but if anyone has any 'Captain America vs Steve Rogers' introspective recs that deal with Steve accepting the love, hope, admiration and inspiration that comes with his position, I'd love to read it :)

This wip is a fluffy little modern au. Steve and the reader work at the same school. Steve is the history teacher and the reader is the school’s librarian. Both have a cute little crush on each other and Steve is like the sweetest to her 🥹💗

I’m thinking this will take place in a high school because one day there’s a school dance and both Steve and the reader are chaperoning it and when they get to talking Steve finds out the reader has never been asked to a dance when she was younger so he takes matters into his own hands and invites her to dance 🤭💗

This is just a very sweet and cute either drabble or oneshot depending on how long it ends up being 💖
