Yknow what, I actually do hate the narrative that Steve crashed the plane in the 40s because he was suicidal. It feels like an ugly erasure of Steve's sacrifice when he truly had no other options. The plane was autolocking when he took his hands off it. The longer he's distracted, the longer he keeps trying to find a way out - the closer those bomb get to killing people and the closer Hydra is to getting a win. So he plummeted the plane with the 100% guarantee that it was not making it to land. Sorry I guess that Steve didn't want to risk the lives of a ton of innocent people for the CHANCE that he might have found a way out alive, especially when he has so little time to spare.

Steve's heroism shouldn't even be up for debate here in favor of him giving up.

Steve didn't kill Zola on sight when he had all the opportunity to, so he has more self-control than like 80% of MCU characters from that alone.

Ratatouille would have been a better and potentially much more interesting story if Remy had partnered with Collette instead of Linguini. Two underdogs with talent and passion forced to maintain a dangerous ruse. Fiercely independent Collette giving up temporary control of her body to a creature who, despite the insanity of a rat wanting to cook professionally, she can relate to on a personal level and who she does want to teach. The inner conflict of wondering if Remy’s growing talents are eclipsing her own, if the praise their food is earning belongs more to him than to her. Her guilt over feeling resentment and jealousy towards this little guy who wouldn’t have a hope of realizing his talents if not for her trust and protection. Both of them unraveling the mystery of that sweet but bumbling kitchen boy with the obvious crush on Collette being Gusteau’s secret son, and working together to thwart the new evil owner’s plans to stop Linguini from claiming his birthright. The message of the movie not being this weird, almost smug “some people are born with talent, some people aren’t, and that’s how being a ~great artist~ works”, but something more like, “if you have a dream, you deserve to pursue it, and be supported and encouraged in your pursuit of it, even if other people tell you that, because of some intrinsic aspect of yourself or the circumstances you were born in (like being a human woman in the restaurant industry, or being a literal rat), you have no place pursuing this dream. Also, raw talent can only get you so far, and skill and passion existing in the right balance is key.” I’ve been thinking about this for seventeen years. I’m breaking my silence

Steve Rogers man. I almost started crying at a gifset and it made me realize that deeply contemplating the pure, raw tragedy that is Steve's life (specifically the ice travel) is almost too big a task for my emotional stability. And Steve actually had to live it. How did he manage to power through? Like, realistically, how fucking emotionally strong do you have to be to live as Steve Rogers?

I will never forget how Steve sniffed out Pierce's bad vibes straight out the gate. That scene is one of my favorites in CATWS - both because of the way Pierce is trying to manipulate Steve (it has LAYERS) and for the way Steve sees right through him.

A papercraft commission of Zelda from Breath of the Wild/Age of Calamity, featured here with the Bow of Light! I had enormous fun cutting out both her swirling hair and the swirling shapes of the bow's decoration - extra-detailed shapes like that take a long time, but the end result is very satisfying. ^_^ And, of course, I'm always excited to make Legend of Zelda art!

gon's goals during each arc of hxh will always be fun to me. because you have:

Arc 1. Become a hunter like my dad!

Arc 2. Train to be a better hunter!

Arc 3. Reunite with my friends and find my dad's game!

Arc 4. Search for clues on my dad in his game!

Arc 5. I must kill this one enemy. I need to avenge my friend and atone for his death by killing them. I don't care who I need to hurt along the way as long as they are one of them. I don't care if I lose myself in the process as long as they die by my hands.

Arc 6. I found my dad!
