It would be truly fantastic if the supreme court could just decide one day that "advertiser friendliness" is a first amendment violation
#political#well about as political as i get#it's always been bizarre to me that corporations would have this much control over where their ads get put?#like who cares if the people buying your products like to say fuck?#imagine if you went to mcdonalds and the automated ordering thing told you you couldn't get a big mac b/c alexa recorded you swearing#free speech#there was a really terrible period a few years ago where a lot of people were happy about amazon/twitter/etc. banning people and like#*cue “first they came for the racists and i did not speak up b/c i was not a racist” lmao*#the point isn't that people you agree with are in charge of social media the point is nobody should be in charge#advertiser friendly#.
